Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

I was only 9 years old when my father became the godfather of the gang known as Devil's Gun. The hero I once looked up to instantly changed from the man I wanted to be to the man I despise most. Whenever I would come home from school with anything lower than an A or his deals went sour he'd take me to the back and whip me, dunk me in cold water, he even branded me on my chest. But I think the top two worst things he's done since becoming god father was cutting part of my face with a broken beer bottle and killing my mother the night before I graduated high school.

Now when I look at him I don't see the love I once had I just see a man desperate, alone, sad, bitter, stressed, angry, regretful. I decided to go out with my friends to some rundown old warehouse and discovered an underground hip hop rager known as The Get Down. As I danced to the beat and listened to Master of Ceremonies rap I couldn't help but feel alive and free I finally yelled not out of desperation or pain but pure happiness and joy.

My best friend and my right hand. Also known as Mylene handed me some weed and as I took it and let out a ring puff I was just contemplating everything that happened that's when it happened: sirens wailed outside of the rundown warehouse as dogs barked and ran into the warehouse I quickly grabbed Mylene and Siku and we tried to run out the back door when a giant explosion happened as we got out the last thing I saw was giant foggy rainbow-like cloud the entire city.

46 years later...

I awoke to find myself looking up at a dingy grey ceiling and I heard an EKG monitor beeping rapidly. As I heard the lyrics to Do you Remember in the background I jolted forward when I ran into metal and glass. "Ow! what the hell?" I could hear footsteps and the door to my prison hiss open. Someone in a strange light grey suit walked up to my strange capsule sized prison. "He's awake sir and his vitals are stable no trace of Z-Gas in his system. But strangely enough his body temperature is increasing at an alarming rate." "Increase the liquid nitrogen and we'll continue the study of him when he wakes again."

"Understood Mister Lycan." As soon as I heard that name my blood boiled to the point I exploded the capsule as the tubes that were in my body flailed and leaked liquids I stalked forward. That's when I heard the clamoring of hard boots of six guards in heavy armor coming to rush in weapons drawn and cocked. One of the scientists tried to stick me with a needle but I quickly gripped his wrist and twisted it as I tossed him against the wall. The other came after but I just somehow manifested platinum and changed it's form into handcuffs and I kicked him in the stomach as he knelt down I quickly took his hands and cuffed them together and made another pair and bound his feet. As Lycan stood there smug I continued my assault and that's when the soldiers came in and the one in charge told them to open fire.

I manifested a platinum shield and sword and leapt in the air and landed in-between the group exerting extreme heat some of them flew back into the wall or on the floor while others yelled out in agony from the blistering heat on their hands and having their armor infused to their skin. I quickly killed those in pain. "Unlike you Father... I hate hearing the painful wails and tearful cries of those doing their jobs." "Ah boy; you're awake good. I thought I'd have to kill your friends to get you to wake up that's when I quickly pierced his leg and sliced his right hand off. I slammed him against the wall outside. As his cries of pain and disbelief rang out I just smiled sadistically and ravelled in it. "WHERE ARE THEY!" "Ngh, somewhere around here. But you're being a hypocrite son you said you don't like hearing your enemies wail in tearful pain." I looked down and took his badge as I let him go I began to walk away as the lead soldier came running to my father's aid.

"YOU'LL NEVER FIND THEM YOU KNOW! NOT WITHOUT ME!" I stopped and turned to him this time my eyes felt different. "I'll be sure to find them. No matter how long it takes. I promise you this though father next time we meet it'll be war. That's a promise. By the way I reject my birthname. I'm known as Mr. Rain."
