Chapter 1 - Let's go

"What's happening to me!?" Agra muttered while panting heavily.

His heart was racing faster and louder, with panic written all over his face.

He felt this otherworldly vibrant energy circulating his veins, more like he could punch a hole through the wall, which was of course quite impossible to a human of his caliber, considering how weak his physique was.

This all came with a price though.

His body was vibrating vigorously and sending pain allover his nerves, more like it was struggling to exist in three dimensions at the same time without leaving the other. And for some reasons, his eyes could see these three dimensions.

The first dimension was this, the human world full of life, love, happiness, hate, sorrow, grief and death.

The second dimension was the most beautiful place Agra had ever set his eyes on. It was full of life and laughter, nothing else, and had this otherworldly, actually, godly glow brightening the whole place. It looked more like a place plugged from a page of a fantasy book as everything around it looked magical.

The third place looked so much null. Void of light and full darkness, and empty of life and full of death.

And for some reasons, within the shadow of darkness, Agra could see a certain vague imagine of a lady surrounded by dark black shadows that screamed nothing but the death, and she had millions of army; some with a purple glowing eyes and fungs, some with a wolfy features, more like a werewolf or something close to it and with orange glowing eyes, and the last group had a humanoid features but with a dark aura, all worshipping and following her.

"Am I dying!? Are the gods punishing me now?" Agra muttered in a perplexed voice.

He couldn't make sense of what was happening to him. He could only imagine that the gods are punishing him for always hating the good ones and supporting the evil, or villain ones.

Yes, that's right.

For as long as he could remember, Agra had always hated all the good gods from mythological stories. Those who travel around the world while doing good stuffs. But his heart had always had a soft spot for the villain gods. Those who bring terror, death and distraction over humanity.

He doesn't know why. He doesn't have a solid reason for this. All he knows is that this had been his way as he was brought to this world like that.

He was lost in thoughts, thinking this is why he was being punished, and before he knew it, his fragile legs took a step after another and he soon found himself deep in the busy night streets.

Suddenly, he bumped to a young lady of the same age as his, seventeen, and his fragile self was send crushing on to the floor.

"Argh! Watch where you are going!" Agra gritted his teeth in anger while collecting himself back to the feet, and looked at the girl direct in the eyes.

"Wait! You can see me!?" The girl muttered in a both confused, and surprised voice.

Her eyes darted around, more like she was looking if anybody else could see her, but she was quickly disappointed as everybody else was too consumed by their doings to give a dime about them.

"Of course I can see you. Unless you fancy yourself as a ghost or something." Agra muttered with anger building in his chest.

But his voice seemed to have stunned the young lady even more and she couldn't help but pull back the left sleeve of her black leather jacket, only to display a tattoo on her forearm, or something close to a rune, that was just visible to her, and had a dim golden light coming from it.

"Wait! Like...You can see, see me?" The girl inquired while returning her attention back to the angry Agra.

"You know, if you are pretending to be a ghost you could have at least work on your costume!" Agra spoke angrily and stomed away.

"I think my cloaking rune is broken." The girl was left speaking to herself.

The girl was quite a catch. She had long dark orange hair with a perfect milk-smooth skin with zero imperfection on them. Her eyes were beautifully gray-ish with a delicate eyebrows and a facial feature that could make even a saint to drool.

Her chest proportion were perfect; not too big and yet not too small, and they were undoubtedly untouched by any male hands.

"Hey, Hope! We gat some demons to kill!" A boy shouted to her, taking her out of her daze as she quickly turned her heard to ther direction.

Doing so, she saw an over-sperding truck heading towards the boy's direction at the top speed as he was standing in the middle of the road. Her protective instincts kicked as she quickly charged towards the boy's direction to knock him out of the road. But unfortunately for her, she was way too far and even with a Sonic's speed, she couldn't get to the boy in time.

"Jake, watch out!" She screamed on top of her lungs while charging towards the boy.

The truck was close enough though and it was soon to making contact with Jack's body.

But instead of hitting him off the road, the truck mysteriously phased through him and went along and did the same to Hope who was now close enough, and come running to the other side, behind them.

It was more like this was just some astro projection of their imagine, more like they physical weren't here, and that was totally wrong as I can promise that this was their true self body at this place.

"I almost forgot that this is your first mission."Jack, a young boy of 19 years old with golden hair, black-ish eyes and a perfect looks laughed out after seeing Hope's scared face. "Remember, once your cloaking rune is activated, you won't be affected by the mundanes world. They can't see us, they can't hear us, they can't smell us and they can't touch us. Unless they are the Nephalism like us, DownWolders or the Guests." Jack explained, once again while walking away.

"But he just did see me." Hope was left speaking to herself again while pointing at Agra's direction, who was subconscious and full of pain disappearing behind a dark corridor.

He didn't even know where he was heading or why. It was more like a certain force was pulling him towards that direction, and a deep feeling within made him feel like if he would make it to that unknown location, then the pain he was suffering and everything he was experiencing will stop, and he would finally get back into living his ordinary life of hating the good gods.

A step after another and Agra found himself our of the city. His legs took him to what looked like an ongoing construction project, and this warm soothing feeling grew even more stronger with every step he took.

It was already night time and there was nobody around. But the debris could be seen all around along side some few constructions tools and materials.

Soon, Agra entered the construction and the area was free and empty, more like a mall with no walls in between. Except that there was something standing in the middle of the construction that made Agra's heart sunken in fear the moment his eyes landed on the creature, or more like a monster.

It stood towering and imposing, with the massive, muscular build of a powerful man. Its broad chest heaved with each breath, and its limbs were thick and sinewy.

From the waist, it resembled a robust, strong man, but its head was that of a fearsome bull.

Sharp, menacing horns protruded from its head, curling wickedly and threateningly, and its eyes glowed with a malevolent intelligence, as Its nostrils flared, snorting hot, heavy breaths.

The lower body was covered in coarse, dark fur, and its hooves clattered ominously against the floor as it shifted its weight, giving out a nightmarish aura.

"A_a_a_Minotaur." Agra stammered while gulping heavily.

And as it taking this for an invagination, the Minotaur suddenly brushed it's hoves against the floor, bend its head downwards and its pointy horns forward.

It then charged towards Agra in a speed that even his eyes couldn't keep up with. And before he knew, the felt a sharp pain around his stomach and chest, as the Minotaur had just pierced him using its horn, lifted him to the air and pinned him against the wall
