Nick replied confidently, "I'm racing Speed Demon today! Lil' sis, don't worry, brother will rule the road today !"
Ivanna's expression turned serious. " Third brother, listen to me. You're being reckless. The roads are slippery, and it's not safe. Even if you don't care about that, this Speed Demon is an imposter. I'm only here because I don't want you to get hurt."
But Nick was undeterred. "Ive, I've driven on slippery roads before. It's not a big deal. And how do you even know if this Speed Demon is fake?"
Ivanna's frustration grew seeing him not believing her. "Then let me drive."
But Neal and Nick both shouted at the same time, "No!" Neal added, "You're not here to race, Ivanna."
[
Nick asked, "Why do you even want to race?"
Ivanna's eyes flashed with a fierce intensity.
As she had no other choice ,She took a deep breath, and her voice dropped to a whisper. "Because...the real Speed Demon...is me."
The words hung in the air like a challenge. Nick's and Neal's jaws dropped in unison. They stared at Ivanna, their eyes wide with shock and awe.
Hearing her revelation, Nick's eyes widened in shock. "Sis, are you being serious?" he asked, his voice trembling with doubt. He stared at Ivanna, searching for any sign of joking, but her expression remained deadpan.
Ivanna raised her eyebrows
[
Which confirmed his suspicion . Nick gasped, his mind reeling with the implications. He couldn't believe what he was hearing - his sister, the real Speed Demon?
They knew that their mysterious sister always hid her real deal and had many identities, so they didn't doubt her when they received her confirmation.
Neal stepped in, his voice firm. "Even if you are the real Speed Demon, you can't race today." He glanced at Ivanna, then back at Nick. "It's not safe, and we can't risk it."
Nick nodded in agreement, starting to see sense. He looked at Ivanna, concern etched on his face.
"Then you have to back off,"
Ivanna said, her eyes locked on her brother's
. "I don't want you getting hurt."
For a moment, Nick hesitated but was also happy seeing his sister's concern for him. He had been so excited to race, and now it seemed like it was being taken away from him. But thinking of his sister's safety, and the worry etched on her face, he accepted the deal. With a newfound sense of responsibility, he went forward to decline his participation in the race.
"I'm sorry, guys," Nick said, turning to the organizers. "I need to pull out of the race."His friends looked at him in surprise, but Nick just shook his head. "It's for the best."
Ivanna watched her brother, with a mix of relief and pride on her face. She was glad he had made the right decision, and she knew she would always be there to protect him.
As they turned to leave, a mocking voice echoed through the air, carrying a tone of amusement and ridicule. "Running away with your tail between your legs, coward?" The words hung in the air, a challenge that seemed to dare them to respond.
The trio turned to face the speaker, a flamboyant redhead dressed in a punk-inspired costume that seemed to be a fusion of leather, spikes, and neon colors. He looked like he belonged in a video game, not on a racing track where the smell of gasoline and burning rubber filled the air.
Nick scoffed, his expression a mixture of disgust and annoyance. "I'm not interested in racing a fake," he said, his voice firm and resolute.
