Chapter 5 - Somewhere, Anywhere

I have danced in the arms of the tired and true,

Sung my songs to the walls of a rain-soaked room.

Watched the wind take the leaves from the tallest trees,

And I wonder if it's calling me.

Oh, the roads don't change, but the sky still turns,

And the fire in my chest still aches to burn.

Is it sin to crave what I've never known?

Is it wrong to leave just to be alone?

Take me somewhere new, where the rivers run,

Where the night don't end till the rising sun.

Where the weight I bear can be set down true,

Oh, love, take me somewhere new.

I have prayed in the pews of the lost and found,

Felt the earth pull me close, then spit me out.

Every voice that I've known sings the same old tune,

But I swear there's another just out of view.

Oh, the roads don't change, but the tides still rise,

And I dream of a world I have yet to find.

Is it sin to chase what I can't yet see?

Is it wrong to go just to set me free?

Take me somewhere new, where the rivers run,

Where the night don't end till the rising sun.

Where the weight I bear can be set down true,

Oh, love, take me somewhere new.

Let the wind take the rest of me,

Let the dawn tell me who to be.

If my hands were made to build, not hold,

Then I'll carve my name in the great unknown.

Take me somewhere new, where the wild things grow,

Where the heart moves fast and the blood runs slow.

Where the weight I bear can be set down true,

Oh, love, take me somewhere new.

I have danced in the arms of the tired and true,

But I know that the world has something new.
