However, these students were still selected by their families to attend this Academy. Although it wasn't as expensive as Frosthelm Academy, it would still cost a lot that not many commoners would be able to afford.
Because of that, they would certainly send those with some abilities and they would be trained before going to the Academy.
Indeed, just after 30 minutes, most of them began to grasp the rhythm.
Professor Eustass watched them carefully as he guided them patiently whenever he noticed some mistakes.
It was normal for them to grasp this technique but the real issue here was their perseverance to maintain this technique.
As expected, he soon noticed them stopping just after three or four cycles of doing it right. That was simply not enough.
Seeing that, he started lecturing again.
"This technique may seem simple, but do not underestimate it. Practicing this daily will strengthen your endurance, stabilize your heartbeat, and prepare your internal energy pathways for when Aura finally awakens."
He already said basically the same thing but he had to keep reminding the students.
Of course, he didn't mention that it would take a decade before being able to gain significant improvement in their bodies. Nonetheless, it was better to train the patience and perseverance of his students.
They must learn not to give up!
After a few moments, he started to encourage them.
"Some of you may notice subtle changes within a few weeks. Others may take years. Regardless, if you wish to become true warriors, you must master this foundation."
There was no other prepared lesson for today aside from this Breathing Technique, so they would have to spend the rest of their class doing this.
He would teach them more later about the existence of Aura and how the Knights, or even those Warriors or Swordsmen would use them in their daily lives.
For now, he let them continue for several minutes while walking between the rows and making slight corrections to their posture.
Hayden then closed his eyes as he just focused on his breathing method…
He could already do it and it was completely the same method that he learned from his brothers without any mistakes at all.
Nonetheless, his Ocularis Lens had already activated, analyzing the effects of the technique in real time. To be exact, he was searching for any method to improve this Breathing Technique that would allow him to see results earlier than others.
After all, he could already tell that this wasn't just about breathing—the way the air flowed through the body stimulated certain muscle groups, enhanced oxygen intake, and stabilized the heart rate.
He was hoping that with so many samples around including his own body, the Ocularis Lens would be able to find a solution.
[ Unable to find a suitable method to increase the efficacy of the Breathing Technique. ]
[ More Breathing Technique Manuals are needed for possible modifications or improvement. ]
"I guess that makes sense." Hayden muttered to himself.
In any case, the Lens was still able to analyze the Lens, confirming that it was a carefully structured method of strengthening the body at its most fundamental level.
And it was something he could absolutely perfect if they just had more samples of Breathing Methods.
As the lesson came to an end, Professor Eustass turned back to face the class.
"Starting today, I expect every one of you to practice this breathing method for at least 10 cycles at least twice a day—once in the morning and once before bed. It may feel tedious now, but in the years to come, you will thank me for it."
Twenty cycles was definitely not enough but they were simply too young. He would just have to increase it as time passed.
He then gave them one final look before adding,
"Class dismissed."
The students let out relieved sighs and some stretching after the prolonged breathing exercise. Although they were just breathing, it felt that their bodies had already become heavy. It felt a little uncomfortable for them.
Hayden, however, remained still as he was lost in thought.
He was browsing through the information that the Lens gave him about the changes in his body after the Breathing Cycles he did.
It seemed that this exercise was actually really better after training their physiques or doing some physical exercise rather than morning after they wake up or evening before they sleep…
'Is this actually true?' Hayden was shocked.
However, his Lens had a reasonable explanation saying his empty or exhausted physique would be able to absorb more energy during the breathing cycles since his body would crave them more in that process.
Unfortunately, because of their lack of comparison or information about the Breathing Cycles, whether the air here was actually tainted with Mana or energy that the Lens could not detect, he couldn't be completely sure…
Furthermore, even if it worked, he had no idea whether there would be some sort of negative effects in the long run.
Nonetheless, it was a path that he might take… After all, it might be the method he needed to accelerate his journey toward manifesting Aura.
With this direction in his mind, a smile formed on his lips.
He had a lot of work to do.
