Chapter 4 - Saving Samuel's Sister

As I left the banquet, I hailed a cab and directed the driver to Bardot Hospital.

My fists clenched with anger as memories of Samuel's past flooded my mind. "Samuel had a sister named Kayla, and she was suffering from a Cardiac disease."

The pain of the past was unbearable. "That bitch," I muttered to myself.

Samuel had begged Abigail for the money to save Kayla, his younger sister who was only five years old. But what did Abigail do? She used every penny for Joshua's accessories, leaving Kayla to die in agony. Samuel had tried, desperately, to save her, but Abigail's selfishness had sealed the child's fate.

I could feel the heat of rage building inside me. "I won't let her get away with this."

This time, I would save Kayla. I would make sure that little girl was taken out of this country and away from the clutches of Abigail. She didn't deserve to be stuck in a place where this woman could continue destroying lives.

As the cab sped toward the hospital, I thought about everything Abigail had done to Samuel—the cruelty, the manipulation, all of it.

She had torn him apart for no reason other than her own selfishness, and now it was time to make her pay for what she had done.

As I walked into Kayla's hospital room, I gazed at her fragile form. A small tear slipped from my eye as I whispered, "That woman... just how many lives has she ruined for her pride and ego?"

The negative energy around her was palpable, and I could feel the weight of it pressing down on me. I focused my energy and began neutralizing the dark aura that surrounded her. *It might take some time,* I thought, *but I promise, Kayla, I'll protect you—not as the Heavenly Demon, but as your big brother.*

Hours passed, and slowly, her condition began to stabilize. Her breathing steadied, and the tension in the room started to dissipate. Just as I was beginning to relax, I sensed someone approaching from behind.

It was George—Samuel's doctor and his only true friend. The man who had stayed by his side throughout his suffering.

He approached, his expression curious, but when he saw Kayla's improved condition, his face shifted to one of disbelief. "What did you do?" he asked, his voice filled with awe. "She's fully recovered… it's a miracle."

I simply smiled, my fingers twirling slightly as I conjured a small burst of magic in my hand. "There's a lot to this story that you don't know," I replied cryptically.

I then touched my finger to his forehead, and in an instant, he experienced the memories of the entire novel—Samuel's misery, my past life as the Heavenly Demon, and everything that had led to this moment.

George staggered back, his eyes wide with shock, and a tear escaped down his cheek. "What happened to Samuel's soul, Heavenly Demon?" he asked, his voice trembling.

I sighed deeply, looking at Kayla's peaceful face. "I don't know, George. This is all part of a novel I read in my past life. But I need a favor from you."

George, still processing the magnitude of the situation, nodded eagerly. "What is it?"

I glanced back at Kayla, my heart heavy. "Take this child out of this country. I think you already know the best place for her. You were willing to help Samuel escape once, weren't you?"

George nodded, tears welling up in his eyes. "Thank you. I don't know what happened to Samuel, but you're definitely a savior. I know you'll give him justice."

I smiled at him warmly. "Please, take care of her. Get her out of this country, away from everything. She deserves a chance at a better life."

George took a deep breath, his gratitude and determination evident. "I will. I promise."

As I watched him leave, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. At least one life was being saved from Abigail's cruelty. Now, it was time to focus on the justice Samuel deserved.

After returning home, I was surprised to find Abigail sitting on the sofa, a glass of red wine in her hand. Her eyes burned with fury as she demanded, "What did you do at that party? And what's with your physique?!"

I could see the frustration on her face, so I smirked and leaned against the wall. "Each time you moaned in our bedroom with another man," I said casually, "I was in the guest room doing exercises beside it."

Her expression faltered for a moment, but before she could respond, my demeanor turned serious. I locked eyes with her and stated coldly, "Kayla is dead. I was at the cemetery, burying her."

Abigail's entire body stiffened, her fingers tightening around her wine glass.

I continued, my voice calm but devoid of emotion. "Whether you divorce me or not, I don't care anymore. The only reason I held myself back was for Kayla's sake—because your hospital was treating her and you were the one funding it."

Stepping closer, I met her gaze with an icy stare. "Whatever love we shared, you destroyed it the moment you brought other men into our bedroom. And now? I don't even care what you do anymore."

As I turned to leave, she suddenly grabbed my arm and stepped in front of me, her voice laced with desperation. "Samuel Gebb, was Kayla more important to you than me? Is that why you always looked after her instead of being with me?!"

Her words made my blood boil, but I held my rage in check. My fists clenched as I forced myself to reply in a measured tone, "There is nothing left for us, Abigail. She was my sister. And you? What more do you want from me?"

The anger on my face was evident, but I exhaled sharply, tired of the conversation. "I'm exhausted tonight. I'm going to sleep. And please, try to keep your moans low when you're with Joshua. I'm not in the mood to listen to your performances after the day I've had."

With that, I walked away, heading to the guest room. As soon as I shut the door, my phone buzzed with a message from George.

"Kayla is safe. Abigail won't be able to find anything."

A smirk crept onto my lips as I typed back,

"Good. The fake death certificates are prepared. She's out of danger now."

Satisfied, I lay down on the bed, my mind drifting to the many ways I could make Abigail regret everything she had done.
