The next morning, I made breakfast for her and headed outside to practice my martial arts. "Where should I go to practice today?" I thought to myself.
****Abigail POV:****
Inside the villa, Abigail sat at the edge of their bed, her gaze fixated on Samuel as he walked out of the house to go jogging. She watched him, her heart heavy with regret. The past few days had been a whirlwind of anger and miscommunication, and now it all felt like it was crashing down on her.
*"What have I done? I pushed him to the edge… he's not the same anymore,"* she thought, her voice cracking in her mind.
Her hands clenched into fists as she replayed the events over and over in her head. The arguments, the humiliation, the way she'd hurt him by bringing other men into their lives. She couldn't deny it any longer—she had pushed him away, and now, he was a man she didn't even recognize.
Abigail's thoughts drifted back to the night she overheard the woman's moans. *"There was nothing between me and those men… it was all set up. I just wanted him to feel what I felt. I wanted him to suffer… to pay for leaving me when I needed him the most."* Her hands shook as the realization hit her like a ton of bricks. *"I tried to make him feel the pain of being abandoned, but in doing so… I lost him. I destroyed everything."*
She stood up suddenly, pacing the room in frustration. *"Why was I so blinded by my anger and pain? He was the only one who ever touched me, the only one who mattered. And yet… I treated him like he was nothing. I wanted to see him broken, and now… I've broken us both."*
Her eyes welled up with tears, and she collapsed onto the floor, her knees hitting the hard surface with a soft thud. She buried her face in her hands, unable to stop the flood of emotions that overwhelmed her.
*"I'm sorry, Samuel. So sorry. But it was always you. Only you,"* she whispered through her sobs, her chest tightening with regret. *"I wanted to see you hurt… but in the process, I destroyed the one thing I loved most in this world. I took your trust, your love, and I threw it all away."*
Abigail's breath hitched as she thought about how Samuel must have felt for the last three years. *"For three years, he must've been feeling this emptiness, this ache… the same way I did when he left. But now, I see. I see what I did to him. He snapped. He became someone else, and it's my fault. All of this… it's my fault."*
She got up slowly, her heart aching with the realization of the damage she had caused. *"I was so selfish, so caught up in my own pain. I didn't see the man I was hurting… the man who once loved me unconditionally. I pushed him so far, and now…"*
Her voice trailed off, the tears blurring her vision. She reached for her phone, hesitating for a moment before typing a message to him. *"I'm sorry, Samuel. I see now… everything. Please, let me make it right. Please…"* She sent the message, but deep down, she knew it wouldn't be enough.
Abigail sank down onto the bed, her mind spinning with guilt and regret. The consequences of her actions were too great to undo, and she was terrified that it was too late to fix what had been broken.
*"What have I done?"* she whispered to herself, a wave of despair washing over her as she stared out the window, watching Samuel disappear into the distance.
Author POV: In Original Novel she used this Tactic to Manipulate Samuel and I won't believe what this B*tch says because in original even after she said that she Humiliated OG Samuel so much and she didn't stop going towards Joshua and there is no proof that she didn't did that.
Even if I plan a shop for this Samuel, it's definitely not gonna be a cheater and Manuplator like her.
Samuel's POV:
As I walked outside, I couldn't help but think, *"Is there anything worthwhile in this story? I saved Samuel's sister, gave her a taste of her own medicine with a warning, but damn, this novel is so dull. I should be out in a warzone or something, and here I am, punishing a woman who isn't even worth my time."
I let out a sigh, but then, suddenly, a system notification popped up before me.
"Wow, this is the first time the system has appeared like this to me."
The system spoke:
"Congratulations, Player. You've completed the Trial Quest. The system is now visible to you."
After thinking for a moment, I asked, "So, I'm the only one who can see you? Now, tell me—what's my purpose in this novel I can't stand?"
The system displayed my status window in front of me:
Body Owner: Samuel Gebb
Possessed by: Heavenly Demon
I read through the lines, my eyes narrowing at one particular detail:
"Original Samuel Gebb is dead. You are now the owner of this body, and you must fight Nightcreatures and other unnecessary entities generated in this world due to a technical error."
I thought about it for a moment before asking, "What happens if I die here?"
The system responded coolly:
"If you die here, your body will disintegrate into ashes. However, if you complete your purpose in this world, you can move on to any other world for the next task."
I smirked at the response. "Nightcreatures, huh? Sounds like a challenge I'm going to enjoy."
