Chapter 4 - Kaizen World 4

Sarah, with wide, puppy-dog eyes, gazed at Kaizen, silently pleading for help. Kaizen scratched his head and mumbled, "Where do I even start?"

"Let's try a dungeon. A low-rank one should be easy for you."

Sarah nodded, ready for the adventure.

"Awesome! You drive, let's go," Kaizen said, handing her the keys and hoping for a smooth ride.

Sarah noticed Kaizen getting comfortable and reminded him, "Vice leader, please put your seatbelt on."

He chuckled, thinking, *Pfft, who needs a seatbelt?* But before he could finish his thought, Sarah hit the gas like a NASCAR driver on a mission. He quickly reconsidered his decision, grabbing for his seatbelt with wide eyes.

When they finally parked in front of the dungeon portal, He stumbled out of the car, looking a bit green around the cheeks. He leaned against the car, his head spinning, and, unable to hold back, lost his breakfast right there.

She, trying not to laugh too much, asked, "Errr, vice leader, are you okay?"

He gave a weak thumbs-up, still catching his breath. "Don't worry, I'm fine. But—" He took a deep breath, wiping his mouth. "Shit—I'll definitely drive us back next time."

As they approached the guard's station for registration, Sarah and Kaizen handed over their hunter identity cards.

The guard inspected the cards, eyebrows raising slightly. "Okay, approved. So, you two are Sarah and Kaizen from the Honey Bunny Guild, with Kaizen as the guardian for this newbie."

The guard's lips twitched, and Kaizen's face turned the color of a ripe tomato. He slapped his forehead dramatically. "Emma! Why, oh why, would you name the guild like that? Honey Bunny—come on!"

Sarah laughed "Well, it's memorable, isn't it?"

He threw his hands in the air, feigning despair. "Yeah, 'cause everyone remembers seeing me blush every time they hear it!"

They both laughed, heading into the dungeon.

"It should be only Rank E goblins, Sarah," "Try to hunt them and maximize your EXP to hit level 10 first. I'll rest near the tree outside. If you run into any trouble, just call for me."

With Kaizen's words of encouragement, Sarah felt a strong excitement. She took a deep breath, adjusted her grip on the sword.

He watched Sarah flail around with the sword. "Stop, you're not a swordmaster. Just use the dagger," he advised, his voice firm yet gentle.

Sarah, holding the sword tightly, protested, "But I'm a fan of Emma! I want to be like her!" Her eyes sparkled with admiration for the legendary swordmaster, Emma, who was known across the world for her unmatched skill with the blade.

He watch understanding her passion but knowing the limitations. "That's not how you do it. You have to follow the role given by the system. Each class has its strengths. A rogue like you will have more agility and precision with a dagger."

She looked sad.

"But maybe one day," Kaizen added with a smile, "if you train hard, you might get a class upgrade that allows you to wield a sword like Emma."

Sarah's face brightened at the thought. "Really?" she asked, hope shining in her eyes.

"Absolutely. For now, master the skills you have. The dagger is a powerful weapon when used properly. Once you hit level 10, who knows what doors might open?"

Sarah, with daggers in hand and brimming with confidence, charged at the goblin with all her speed. As she blinked, she impulsively closed her eyes, swinging her daggers in such random arcs that even the air seemed confused about which way to dodge.

He stood at a safe distance, arms crossed and eyebrows raised. Watching Sarah's clumsy performance, he muttered to himself, shaking his head, "This Emma—where on earth did she find another bundle of chaos?"

Her eyes shot open, surprised to find the goblin still standing, she confused, attempting to follow her blade dance. She grinned annoyingly at Kaizen, who couldn't help but roll his eyes.

"Did I get it?" she asked, still in her dramatic battle stance, one eye squinted shut as if aiming like an archer.

He stepped forward to lend a hand. "You didn't even scare its shadow! Next time, maybe try attacking with your eyes open? I heard that helps."

She giggled, conceding the point. "Alright, lesson learned, next fight, eyes wide open!"

He suddenly had a new idea, picked up a seemingly harmless twig, and handed it to Sarah. "Now, use this. Try to attack the goblin, but with *minimum* of your power."

She nodded, excited to try. Kaizen, however, emphasized once more, "With *minimum* of your power."

Despite Kaizen's warning, Sarah charged at the goblin, swinging the stick with all her strength. The stick released a huge burst of power, shaking the entire dungeon. The ground trembled, and half of the dungeon was destroyed.

He shook his head, stressing at the chaos Sarah had caused. "This girl, really never listens to me."

"Well," she said, looking at the damage, "I guess it worked?"

"Alright, Sarah! Let's wrap up our training here. We've got to make a quick escape before the guards catch up with us."

He gestured for her to follow him, urgency clear in his voice. "If they find us, it'll become a real problem. So let's move!"

With that, Kaizen and Sarah hurriedly gathered their belongings and sprinted out of the dungeon.

As Kaizen and Sarah bolted out of the dungeon, the sound of alarms blared behind them. Guards shouted in confusion.

He glanced over his shoulder, his face pale. "Sarah, what did I say about *minimum* power?!"

"I thought you meant *maximum* but with, like, *style*!"

He dragging her by the arm as they zigzagged through the forest. "Style?! You just turned a Rank E dungeon into a Rank S disaster zone!"

She giggled, clearly proud of herself. "Well, at least we made an impression, right?"

He shot her a look. "Yeah, an impression like a meteor hitting a planet!"

As they ran, a group of guards appeared ahead, blocking their path. Kaizen skidded to a halt, pulling Sarah behind a tree. "Great. Just great. Now we're blocked. Honey Bunny Guild, my *foot*!"

Sarah peeked around the tree, her eyes wide. "What do we do now, vice leader?"

"First, we stop calling me 'vice leader' in public. Second, we improvise."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, glowing orb. Sarah's eyes lit up. "Is that a smoke bomb?"

"Nope. It's a *distraction* bomb." He tossed it into the air, and it exploded into a shower of glitter and confetti. The guards froze, utterly confused.

She blinked. "Uh… what kind of distraction is that?"

He grabbed her hand. "The kind that makes them question their life choices. Now, RUN!"

They sprinted past the bewildered guards, who were too busy picking glitter out of their hair to give chase. Sarah couldn't stop laughing. "Kaizen, you're a genius!"

"No, I'm an idiot for agreeing to be your guardian."

As they finally reached the safety of their car, Kaizen slumped into the driver's seat, exhausted. Sarah climbed in beside him, still grinning. "So, what's next? Another dungeon?"

He glared at her. "Next, we lay low. Very low. Like, underground low. And no more sticks, swords, or anything that can cause mass destruction. Got it?"

She nodded, but her mischievous smile said otherwise. "Got it. No mass destruction. Promise."

He started the car. "I don't believe you for a second."

As they drove off, Sarah leaned back in her seat, humming happily. "You know, Kaizen, this was the most fun I've had in ages."

He glanced at her, a small smile tugging at his lips despite himself. "Yeah, well, don't get used to it. Next time, *I'm* picking the dungeon. And the weapons. And the snacks."

Sarah laughed. "Deal. But only if we keep the Honey Bunny Guild name."

Kaizen groaned, but deep down, he couldn't help but chuckle. "Fine. But if anyone asks, I'm not the vice leader. I'm just… the guy who survives your chaos."

She grinned. "Deal. Now, let's go get some food. I'm starving!"

"Of course you are. Why wouldn't you be?"

And with that, the duo escaped the chaos they had unleashed, leaving behind a trail of glitter, confusion, and a half-destroyed dungeon.
