Sunny pulled out the worn map from his pocket and unfolded it, his eyes scanning the creased surface. He traced their route with his finger, double-checking their coordinates.
"Thompson, how's our position?" Sunny asked, his eyes still on the map.
Thompson glanced at the GPS device mounted on the dashboard. "We're right on track, Captain. Our coordinates match up with the mission briefing."
Sunny nodded, his eyes still on the map. He knew that one wrong turn could mean disaster. He folded the map and tucked it back into his pocket, his mind focused on the mission ahead.
"Keep moving, Thompson," Sunny said, his voice firm. "We need to make our extraction window."
Sunny's eyes swept across the faces of his team, his gaze lingering on each of them. He knew they were all thinking the same thing: this mission was a risk, and there were no guarantees.
"Listen up, team," Sunny said, his voice low and steady. "I know we've been through a lot together, and I know this mission is a tough one. But I also know that we're the best team for the job."
He paused, his eyes locking onto each of his team members.
"We've trained for this, we've prepared for this. We know the risks, and we know the stakes. But we also know that we have each other's backs."
Sunny's voice took on a note of determination.
"We're going to get in, we're going to extract our target, and we're going to get out. We're going to do this together, as a team."
He nodded, his eyes never leaving his team.
"Let's do this."
The team nodded, their faces set with determination. Thompson spoke up, his voice firm.
"ETA to the extraction point is 20 minutes, Captain."
Sunny's eyes scanned the surrounding area as they approached the extraction point. He nodded to Thompson, who slowed the Humvee to a stop.
"Alright, let's move out," Sunny said, his voice low and even. "We need to get into position."
The team climbed down from the Humvee, their movements swift and practiced. Sunny nodded to two of the soldiers.
"Get the 50 cal in position," he said. "We need to cover our six."
The two soldiers moved quickly, unloading the heavy machine gun from the Humvee and setting it up behind a nearby wall. They loaded the gun, their hands moving in tandem as they prepared for action.
Sunny nodded to two other soldiers.
"You two, guard the truck," he said, his eyes locked on the vehicle that would carry the hostages to safety. "We need to make sure it's secure."
The two soldiers moved to the truck, their rifles at the ready as they scanned the surrounding area for any signs of danger.
Sunny turned to the remaining soldiers.
"Let's move in," he said, his voice low and even. "We need to get the hostages and get out."
