"That's it. I'm going back home. At least particles make sense!" I declared, staring at my reflection in the resort's boutique mirror. Letty had insisted on a shopping trip before the beach party, claiming my wardrobe was "too scientist, not enough siren."
"No way," Letty adjusted her newest Hawaiian shirt. "You look amazing. Daniel won't know what hit him."
The white bikini and sheer cover-up were definitely more daring than my usual lab coat. "I feel exposed."
"That's the point!" Letty grinned, then added in a stage whisper, "Besides, I saw Calvin by the pool earlier. He actually walked into a palm tree when some girl in a bikini walked past. Imagine what he'll do when he sees you!"
"I don't care what Calvin thinks," I said automatically, though my stomach did a small flip.
"Sure, and I'm only wearing four Hawaiian shirts for the fashion statement." Letty rolled her eyes. "Now, let's discuss strategy."
"For a beach party?"
