Chapter 7 - Fond Memories

〘Date: 2/8 - Friday〙

〘Time: 10:00 AM〙

〘Location: Texas, San Antonio - Trinity Valley Dormitory〙

Allie and I made it back to the dorm's parking lot, making our way to my car first, but decided to head inside the dorms so Allie to pick something up from her room. Once we made it to her dorm room, she took me inside, allowing me to sit on her bed while she searched for something within her closet.

"Sorry if my room looks a bit messy. Jade and I still have a bit of cleaning to do," Allie said, glancing at me from over her shoulder with a soft smile.

I sat on her bed, returning her smile with my own. "Nah, it's alright. You should see Matt's side of our dorm. He lets himself go at times."

"I can only imagine sharing a room with a football player... Honestly, I wouldn't be able to survive," Allie said half jokingly, turning her attention back to rummaging through her closet, finally finding her lucky ring in one of her pockets inside one of her jackets. "Ahh, here it is."

"You found what you were looking for?" I asked, getting up from the bed and walking over to Allie.

Allie turned around, her eyes twinkling with bubbling excitement as she showed me the ring on her finger. "Mhm!~ It's the ring you got me on our first date. I've prided myself on wearing it all the time whenever I'm out..."

I gently took her hand in mine, bringing it closer so I could get a closer look of the ring. It was a special ring that my mom helped pick out for Allie's birthday, a smooth, golden ring embroidered with small, sparkling rubies around the ring.

"I remember getting this for you...I still always wear the necklace you got for me on my own birthday. I've never left anywhere without it..." I said softly, reaching in my hoodie to bring out the silver heart pendant.

Allie softly gasped, immediately holding my pendant in her hands then pressed the button on the side, seeing the picture of our first kiss still inside. A familiar warmth filled her internally, her sweet smile curling at the corners of her lips, her eyes crinkling at the sides with pure delight.

I looked down at the picture as well, my lips stretching into a nostalgic smile. "That day lives in my head forever. On the ferris wheel..."

"Talking about our dreams and what we wanted to be once we graduated... After that day, I promised to never date another guy again if it weren't you. No one can make me feel the way you do," Allie said, looking up at me and locking eyes with me.

"And I know you may pursue other women... because that's what your legacy comes down to as the son of Shiro Moji, but...I just want to know if you still feel the same way about me the way you did years ago," Allie continued, taking a step forward to close the gap between us.

I held her gaze as well, the feelings I had for her still lingering strong within me. No connection I could make with any other woman could ever match the bond I had with Allie, my coolness slowly fading away as genuine feelings began to resurface.

"Allie..." I began, gently holding her hand and interlocking our fingers. "It's always been you and me before I even stepped into this role. You have always been my Perfect Match, my soulmate, my True Love. Nothing will change that. Not Paris, not Rhea, not even my own mother..."

Allie's heart began to race at my heartfelt response, her body melting at each word I spoke. Her lips began to stretch into a bright smile, her eyes gleaming with a happiness only I truly knew. "Do you mean that?"

"I do," I assured, giving her hand a gentle and reassuring squeeze.

"Oh Ryder..." She spoke softly, wrapping her arms around my nape for a tight hug.

I hugged her back, my arms wrapping around her tight and closing the space between us. I knew there was unfinished business between us, unsolved chemistry that seemed to drift away since the incident at the islands. But now that was all about to change, the two of us rekindling a flame that never truly went out.

〔Love/Empathy EXP +100〕

〔Allie's Affection for you increased to 85%〕

We finally let each other go and got ready to head out to start our date. We didn't exactly know what we were planning to do, but this wasn't uncharted territory for us. The two of us enjoyed a more unpredictable and chaotic date than the usual normal ones, usually going where the vibe leads us.

〘Date: 2/8 - Friday〙

〘Time: 10:30 AM〙

〘Location: Texas, San Antonio - Morning's Destiny〙

I parked my car in the lot of a restaurant that was growing globally, originally starting back home at Destiny Islands. Morning's Destiny is still a very popular restaurant within Destiny Islands, starting off as a mom and pop shop before expanding their horizons.

The restaurant was a moderately sized building, its golden bricks shimmering from the sun's rays dancing upon its surface, casting a warm, cozy glow around the entire building. The mini garden at the side of the building had fencing around it, protecting the natural crops within.

"Ahh, it's been so long since we've last been here!~" Allie gasped, her eyes widening with child like wonder as she gazed upon a nostalgic sight for the two of us.

〔Allie's Affection for you increased to 87%〕

I chuckled softly at Allie's reaction to the first date location, gently grabbing her arm and pulling her with me toward the entrance. "Come out of the street before you get hit."

Allie stumbled a bit as she followed behind me, a short laugh escaping her lips while she found her balance. "Sorry, sorry~"

The two of us made our way inside, the chimes ringing a melodic tune as I opened the door to let Allie inside first. Allie hummed softly at me, playfully poking my nose as she waltzed inside first. I rolled my eyes at her, giving her a smile as I followed her inside.

〔Charisma EXP +40〕

Inside the restaurant, the atmosphere was lively with sounds of chattering in the air and the scent of freshly made breakfast immediately hitting our noses, causing our mouths to water. We couldn't wait to grab our seats, ready to enjoy a royal class breakfast.

〔Phroa: Sorry to y'know, break the flow, but we don't got the money for royal class meals...〕

I glanced down at my screen, looking at Phroa who was giving me a look of innocence. I glanced at how much Credi I had, closing my eyes and exhaling softly through my nose.

'I literally just had 5,000 Credi in the vault. Where is the other half of it?' I asked to Phroa mentally, keeping my inner voice calm to not internally erupt.

〔Phroa: Well...you see, due to uhm...a certain aspect of Love called Luck and your dad's blessing and curse with the Queen of Greed, there's a chance you get taxed in exchange for uhm...better Luck.〕

'Wait...' I thought, lowering my head to rubbing my forehead with my fingertips. 'I got taxed didn't I..?'

〔Phroa: No wonder your joke worked so well...〕

'It's alright...2,500 Credi is still manageable, plus I still have money in the account so this won't be a total fail,' I thought to myself, raising my head and glanced at Allie who's eyes were wandering all around the restaurant with nostalgia.

〔Phroa: If all else fails, remember her preferred gifts!〕

I chuckled softly at Phroa's last bit of advice before going silent until I needed her. I already knew all of the fail-safes for Allie whenever things turn left, but with only half my Credi, the gifts I wanted to get her from the shop was now more harder to obtain.

After a few more moments of waiting in line, it was our turn to be seated at a table, the waitress leading us to a cozy booth at a more secluded area of the restaurant and handed us our menus. She began by taking our orders, the two of us already knowing what we wanted since we came here often in the past.

I watched as the waitress walked off after taking our orders and glanced around the restaurant, taking in the familiar sights. "Y'know...It feels nice being back here."

"Honestly..~ Oh, you remember when we went to the restaurant back at home with Grandma Krystal?" Allie asked, looking at me with a nostalgic smile.

I smiled at the fond memory, nodding my head and let out a soft exhale. "Yeah, I remember it well. It was actually a family outing, I vividly remember when we all went hiking with Chelsey and Adrianna."

"Oh yeah, and you got your underwear stuck on a branch when you climbed that tree," Allie brought up, unable to keep herself from bursting into a fit of giggles.

"Alright, alright. We're wrapping up this memory lane," I said, rolling my eyes at Allie from bringing up an embarrassing memory.

Allie couldn't stop laughing at the memory, tears beginning to well up in her eyes. She took a deep breath and exhaled softly, wiping her eyes as she sat back in her seat. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. It was just really funny...~"

"Mhm, just as funny as you getting your bikini caught on the jumping board at your 13th birthday?" I retorted, bringing up an equally as embarrassing memory and chuckling softly to myself.

Allie gasped dramatically, her eyes widening as I brought up the Birthday Party Incident, her hand covering her mouth in shock. "You swore to never bring that up..."

"Mhm, just like you swore to not bring up the Twilight Trails Incident? You must've forgotten that I'm still just as petty as I was in the past," I said, reaching under the table to grab her calf.

Allie squeaked and jerked her leg, kicking my shin and causing a loud rattle. She immediately turned her head, covering her mouth with her hand, her shoulders slightly shaking in attempt to stiffle her laughs. I slouched in my seat, covering my face with my jacket, trying my hardest to not laugh.

I cleared my throat as I sat up in my seat, looking around and noticing a few glances toward our table. I turned back toward Allie, my smile a bit more bright than usual. "You did not have to react like that..."

Allie glanced at me, turning to fully look at me with an equally as bright smile. "You know my most ticklish spots, jerk..~"

I laughed softly at her playful reply, reaching under the table to gently pat her thigh. "That's correct, and I will not hesitate to use that weakness on you again."

Allie rolled her eyes, letting out a soft giggle and grabbed my hand under the table, giving my hand a gentle squeeze. "Do that again, and I will snap your fingers..~"

"Yeah, alright... we'll see about that," I challenged playfully, gently rubbing her fingers with my thumb.

The two of us continued going down memory lane, sharing with each other what we remembered from the past. As we talked, it seemed as if time passed us by, our food arriving before we even realized it.

Once we had our food, we made sure to pray to the Mojisola Deities for our meals before digging into our food. The taste of our food was just as we remembered it being, a delicious mouthful of freshly made eggs and bacon with sweet fruit and fluffy waffles.

Allie set down her fork and let out a soft sigh, and let out a satisfied hum. "That was so delicious, I'm good until dinner honestly..~"

"For real...That was honestly the best breakfast I've had in a while," I said, leaning back against my seat and began to check my bank to see how much I had on my card. "Now to pay for the wonderful service..."

Allie continued humming softly, her gaze constantly drifting to my face, noticing a bit of crumbs upon the corners of my lips. She slid down her side of the booth, making her way over to my side and grabbed a napkin, sliding closer to me.

"Hold still for a sec..." Allie said softly, leaning closer to wipe the corners of my lips with the napkin.

I held still as she cleaned the corners of my lips, my gaze eventually meeting hers directly, our eyes locking and drawing each other in. Allie lowered the napkin, her hazel eyes shimmering with deep affection and holding contact with my deep golden stare.

I gently placed my hand upon her cheek, rubbing her skin with my thumb, her body shuddering at my touch. The world around the two of us began to slowly fade away, our realities taking priority of the real reality around us.

"Y'know I didn't mean to be distant with you for these past few years... It's just been kinda hard after that day," I began, my voice barely above a whisper, only loud enough for Allie's ears.

"I know...I remember it vividly as well. When your mom threw herself out there to protect you...and got hurt. I couldn't bare to watch...but after that day, I could tell that it deeply affected you to the point of rejecting your dream and heritage," Allie whispered back, placing her hand gently upon my thigh.

"It did...I doubted myself for years after that and I tried to run from it, in hopes it would protect you and my family. But...now I'm trying to reignite that dream not only because it's my destiny, but in hopes of bettering myself," I said, twirling a strand of her hair around my finger.

"But you're already great on the inside. You just have to bring it out more, like you used to...I wanna see that Ryder back. The Ryder who was unapologetic, charismatic, and overall bright inside and out," Allie said, closing the gap between us and leaning closer to me.

"The Ryder who would always say 'I love you' to me, no matter what...the Ryder that would kis—"

Without a second thought, I gently leaned forward, capturing her lips in a soft, tender kiss. At first, Allie was stunned, too surprised to react to the kiss. Soon, she began to melt into the kiss, her hand gently gripping my shirt.

The kiss lasted for a few seconds, the two of us breaking the kiss to catch our breaths. Allie gulped lightly, her breath stolen from the electrifying happiness she felt from the kiss.

"Ryder..." She said breathlessly, gazing deeply into my eyes with a mix of affection and disbelief.

"Just because I haven't told you as often as I used to doesn't mean I love you any less... I still do and always will. I may have lost my way, but now I'm finding it again," I began, a soft smile curling at the corners of my lips.

"Once I find my way once again, you'll have the old me and possibly a better version back again. I just... need some time to figure out how to tread the path," I finished, my tone filled with sincerity and honesty.

Allie's heart warmed at my words, her mind unable to come up with anything to say. All she could do was just smile happily and wrap her arms around my nape, pulling me into a tight hug. I hugged her back, my fingers running through her hair slowly.

After sharing a heart to heart moment, we decided to extend our date a bit longer to continue down memory lane. Our waitress finally came back to our table, collecting our empty plates and cups, taking them to the kitchen to be cleaned.

The two of us began to get ready to head out, gathering our things and going to the front counter to pay the tab. Once everything was paid, the two of us left out of the restaurant hand in hand, creating small talk on where we should go next.

〘Date: 2/8 - Friday〙

〘Time: 11:00 AM〙

〘Location: Texas, San Antonio〙

I drove down the highway with Allie in the passenger seat, the roof lowering to allow the wind to hit our faces as we cruised down the street. We had our music blasting in the air, Allie mainly controlling it with songs we would always love to sing together.

We didn't exactly know where we were heading, only having an idea of what we wanted to do together in mind. This was always how we planned our dates, only letting the vibes lead us toward our next destination.

"Oh! You know what we should do?" Allie gasped, looking down at her phone to check the map.

"What's up?" I asked, flicking my gaze over to Allie for a split second.

"We are currently headed toward Austin, and one of your other half sisters still live there right? With Mama Chloe?" Allie asked, glancing over at me with bubbling excitement in her eyes.

I chuckled softly to myself, immediately knowing what Allie was asking for. I leaned back in my seat and exhaled softly. "I guess we're taking a visit to Austin to visit Chloe and Daphne."

"Yes!~ Onward to Austin!" Allie cheered, getting comfortable in her seat for the long drive ahead.

With our next plans set, I put the pedal to the metal and pushed forward toward Austin, Texas. I was as equally as excited to visit Chloe and Daphne as I've always had a close relationship with the two since I've been in San Antonio, mainly because of Charlotte of course.

As we drove down the highway, the two of us began to plan for the next part of our date in Austin to see the sights and enjoy another familiar location. It's nearly been five years since I've last been to Austin, so curiosity began to take over, my mind wondering how Chloe and Daphne were over the years.

〘Date: 2/8 - Friday〙

〘Time: 12:10 PM〙

〘Location: Texas, Austin - Oceanview〙

We finally made it to Austin, Texas, specially in a rival territory known as Oceanview, Texas. Oceanview was a beautiful city with high standing skyscrapers, neon lights, and the most beautiful river streams that lead to the North Atlantic Ocean.

Within the bustling metropolis sat some of the most beautiful river walks and smaller streams of water that sparkled under the sun's kiss, most plazas filled with water and ocean related attractions. Oceanview was the exact opposite of Trinity Valley, which sat between three historic valleys of Texas.

"Gosh, I nearly forgot how beautiful this city is...Even though this is enemy territory, they have such nice view of the ocean and probably the cleanest water in Texas history," Allie said, feasting her eyes upon the city with a hint of jealousy in her tone.

"That is true, Oceanview definitely has some of the best water and oil in all of Texas but we have three valleys that contain rhodium, gold, and platinum respectively," I said, carefully maneuvering through the streets to reach Chloe's neighborhood.

"Yeah, that's also true. Heh, I see you're still the same know it all after all these years," Allie teased, gently poking my cheek playfully.

I let out a soft groan as she poked my cheek, playfully palming her face to push her back. "Yeah, yeah. This is literally Texas Geography 102, if knowing basic knowledge is a know it all then I'm happy being one."

"Hey! Let go of my face, buddy!" Allie whined, trying to push my hand away from her face.

〔Talent EXP +40〕

I continued driving down a smaller town, Allie and I continuing to childishly bicker about how petty I am. I couldn't help but to get a kick out of her childish complaints, hearing her fuss over not being able to beat me in any argument getting a laugh out of me.

Soon, we finally reached Chloe's neighborhood, Bonnell Falls, a fairly large neighborhood connecting to a park named Roaring Creek Park, which connected with Mt. Bonnell and one of Oceanview's rivers, the Bonnell River.

This neighborhood wasn't cheap to live in either, each street containing luxury houses from as small as two stories high to being as large as mansions. Seeing houses like these weren't new to us, however, since Destiny Islands was the richest and most expensive location to live in throughout the entirety of New America.

Parking in front of Chloe's house, Allie and I got out of the car, the two of us making our way toward the front door. I rang the doorbell, stepping back a bit and straightening my clothes. Allie stood behind me, excitedly waiting for the moment someone answered the door.

The door swung open, revealing a stunningly beautiful woman with long rose gold hair cascading down her back in beautiful waves with a distinctive single braid on the right side of her hair. She had beautiful light brown eyes that sparkled with recognition and her pink lips curled into a sweet smile.

She walked toward me, her curved hips swaying with every step and reached out toward me, pulling me into a tight hug. She let out a soft hum and giggled softly, her hand gently rubbing my back. "It's been so long...I was starting to believe you've been distant.."

"I know, Daphne...Sorry for not talking as much," I replied softly, returning her embrace with my own.

Daphne basked in my embrace, taking a playful sniff of my scent. "You smell nice..."

I chuckled softly at her compliment and pulled away from the hug, holding her at arm's length. "Thank you, and you certainly had a glow up."

〔Flirtation EXP +40〕

Daphne beamed at my complement, letting out a soft purr of approval. "Thank you. I've been really watching my figure recently and—"

Daphne's eyes flicked toward Allie, letting out a surprised gasp and cheesed happily, her eyes sparkling with a girlish excitement. "Allie?! Gosh, Ryder didn't tell me you were coming with him!"

"Oh, he didn't huh?" Allie asked, playfully jabbing my side with feigning an offended smile.

I grunted softly at her soft jab, catching her wrist before she could pull away and smiled at Allie. "Well, I was also driving so I kept the message short for safety."

"Riiight," Both girls said at the same time, the two of them giggling with each other.

"Yeah, the second Destiny Child and direct inheritor of Daddy's very essence can't text and drive at the same time?~" Daphne asked in a teasing tone, a sly smirk playing on her lips.

"It's the principal of safety. Sure, I can maneuver around at a gifted level while texting and whatnot, but that doesn't mean I should," I replied, my tone etched with a bit of my signature sass, resting my hands behind my head.

Allie and Daphne glanced at each other, the two of them placing their hands over their mouths as they softly laughed. The two of them found my sass cute, but I was actually serious with what I said, nevertheless, they still laughed.

"Sorry, sorry...I just missed hearing your sassiness. At least we know you haven't changed much," Daphne said, placing her hands behind her back.

I huffed softly at her, lowering my arms with a small smile on my lips. "Mhm... where's Mama Chloe?"

"She's out at the moment with Charlotte doing a brunch outing, so it's just me here and of course our dog, Maple," Daphne answered, stepping aside to let us inside. "Don't let me stop you from coming in~ Make yourself at home.."

"Don't mind if we do~" Allie hummed softly, happily marching her way inside the house.

I chuckled softly at Allie, following behind her inside the house. Daphne was the last to enter, closing and locking the door before following us into the living room.

"Sooo..~ What brings you two all the way up here in Austin?" Daphne asked, hopping onto the couch beside me with both feet on the couch, her arm resting upon the back of the couch.

"Allie and I are on one of our usual freestyle dates and we decided to come here to visit you and Mama Chloe. You know the usual," I answered, glancing over at Daphne with a soft smile.

Daphne hummed softly and twirled a strand of my hair around her finger, glancing at Allie who sat on the other side of me. "Aimless dates...I certainly love those kinds of dates and that's coming from an airhead like me~"

Allie chuckled at Daphne's comment, nodding her head in agreement. "I feel like there's just a lot more excitement in just doing stuff. There's no pressure for perfection."

"Exactly, like it's honestly not that complicated to impress us women. Aunt Habilee made the Art of Love pretty simple to understand, I'm pretty sure," Daphne agreed then gasped softly, getting off the couch. "Also, let me give you some tea you wouldn't believe!"

"Uh-oh~ I'm coming right now!" Allie said, getting off the couch and set her things beside me. She glanced at me and leaned toward me to kiss my cheek. "If you need us, we'll be in the kitchen~"

"I know. I've played these games with you two before," I replied, reaching up to poke Allie's nose.

Allie giggled softly, wiggling her nose in response then stood up straight, following Daphne to the kitchen to gossip. Once they were out of sight, Phroa materialized beside me, letting out a soft whistle.

"You and the beautiful woman in the pink turtleneck are pretty darn close!~ So close that I even picked her up on my Love Finder," Phroa said, her tiny wings fluttering as she brought herself to my shoulder and sat down.

"Really? She popped up on there?" I asked, glancing at Phroa with slight disbelief then took my phone out of my pocket.

"Mhm! She's 100% on there," Phroa nodded, her eyes fixated on my screen as I scrolled through the home screen.

I tapped on the Love Finder app, the screen displaying a radar like interface that was shaped like a heart. Upon the radar were two dots instead of one, the first dot being blue, indicating the woman I was currently on a date with. The pink dot indicated that there was a highly compatible woman within the vicinity.

"Huh, I admit we are close, but I never thought we were that close," I said, returning back to the home screen then set my phone down on my lap.

"So, are you gonna pursue her? I mean, you are only half-siblings and have a good connection," Phroa said, her eyes gleaming with innocence as she was only trying to play Cupid for me.

I smiled at Phroa, gently rubbing her hair and let out a soft exhale. "I don't know. Socially, it's kinda frowned upon for even half siblings, even cousins, to be romantic. But, when in doubt, see where the vibes lead us."

"Go with the flow method huh? So nonchalant!~" Phroa said, feigning a fangirl like tone with her mock cheer.

"Okay, buddy. Relax," I chuckled softly, leaning back on the couch and grabbed the remote to watch TV.

The house soon fell into a comfortable blend between the gossips between the girls and the sounds of a show playing from the TV, the atmosphere garnering a familiar cozy vibe that we've always known. It nearly felt like seven years ago, when life wasn't nearly as chaotic.

Before we knew it, two hours had gone by and we were all sitting on the patio in the backyard, the three of us making small talk with one another. We all mainly talked about our life in recent years, Allie and Daphne having more to say than me.

"Oh, I heard your new series was starting to gain more traction also, Chef Daphne~" Allie said, looking over at Daphne with a proud grin on her lips.

Daphne's cheeks began to become slightly rosy, her hand gently cupping her own cheek. She let out a soft chuckle, waving her other hand at Allie modestly. "Oh stop it, Al. It's really not anything special apart from a cooking series!"

"Please, the meals you make are beyond five stars! You have a rare culinary specialty and I just know the food tastes amazing!" Allie praised, her happiness for Daphne's success bubbling to the surface.

"I really appreciate it, truly..~ How about you? What's your acting career looking like?" Daphne asked, leaning against the arm of her chair with great interest.

Allie rubbed the back of her head, letting out an awkward chuckle. "Well, y'know...it's going. I'm getting a few roles here and there, but the offers are still coming in."

"That's great! Trust me, soon you'll be up there on the big screens with Miss Whitney! A true A-List Actress on the way," Daphne encouraged, reaching over to gently place her hand upon Allie's.

Allie smiled softly at Daphne's support, giving her a nod. "Thank you, Daph. Hopefully, soon, I land at least one A List role. Just one will bring me closer to that goal."

Daphne grinned more at Allie's hopefulness and patience, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. She soon turned her attention toward me, reaching over to playfully trail her finger along my cheek. "And what about you, mister?~"

I turned my gaze to Daphne, my eyes locking onto hers and a smile tugged at the corners of my lips. "Well, I haven't been making too many moves as of late. I'm still staying kind of low key, but I am going out more and getting used to being out of my comfort zone."

"That's really good...it's nice to step out of that comfort once in a while. I'm glad you are, otherwise I wouldn't be seeing your face right now," Daphne lightly teased, gently pinching my cheek and moving my head left and right.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah..." I retorted, moving my head to the side to make her let go of me.

Daphne laughed softly, leaning back in her chair and exhaled softly. "But seriously, it's nice seeing you two again. Now that I've seen you again, there's no excuses for you to not visit more."

"I know, and I'm pretty sure you're not gonna let me forget to come by a few times either," I said, already knowing how Daphne operated when it came to visiting.

"Nope, so be ready for when your phone rings~" Daphne said, waving her phone at me with a slight flirtatious smile.

"Oh trust me, I'll be more than ready to answer all of your calls," I replied, my tone a mix of sincerity and sarcasm, a light chuckle escaping me as I dodged her swat.

"Save your sarcasm for yourself, Ry!" Daphne laughed, swatting her hand at me in attempt to hit me.

The three of us continued with our conversation, our talks filled with laughs and playful banter as we bounced between different topics. Soon, my alarm began to go off, grabbing my attention immediately and I glanced at my screen.

Looking at the time, I let out a soft hum and got up, stretching my arms and sighing softly. "Welp, we should be heading back to San Antonio. I promised Matt that I would be at his football game, and it's a rivalry game as well."

"Right, Oceanview against Trinity Valley today. You already know who I'm gonna be cheering for. Gotta go with Oceanview on this one," Daphne said, standing up from her seat and straightened out her clothes.

"This year is gonna be the same result, a three peat and we'll be champions once again," I said, stroking Daphne's chin before walking inside the house.

Daphne blushed lightly, rolling her eyes and following me inside, holding the door open for Allie. "Well our QB has been training as well!" Daphne called out to me from the back door.

Allie chuckled at the two of us, walking inside the house as well then closed the door. "You two and your ongoing rivalry..~ You're worse than him and Leilani."

Daphne laughed at Allie's comparison, shaking her head as we all walked toward the front door. "Yeah right. No one is as competitive than the future Tribal Leader like her. Barely anyone except Ryder and Adrianna can keep up with her energy."

"Yeah, that's true~ But, alright, I suppose we should tally on out of here and head back home. We do have an important game to catch," Allie said, stopping at the front door to give Daphne a warm hug.

Daphne hugged her back, smiling happily and held Allie tightly. "Mmm, it was good seeing you two again. Don't hesitate to come back here again."

"We won't," Allie said, letting go of Daphne and stepped backwards toward the door.

Daphne looked at me with a sweet, flirtatious grin, walking toward me to give me a goodbye hug as well. I hugged her back, the two of us staying in each other's embrace for a few moments.

"Stay safe out there..." She said softly, her voice muffled due to her face buried in the crook of my neck.

"I will..." I replied, my tone matching hers with a mix of love and resolve.

Soon, we let each other go, and Allie and I made our way out of the house toward my car out in the front. The two of us got inside and I started the car, honking my horn at Daphne to tell her goodbye one last time. Daphne waved back at my car, watching as I drove off into the distance.

She let out a soft, pleased exhale and made her way back inside, her mind already excited for my next visit back to Oceanview.
