Chereads / I WILL BE YOUR EYES MR. GRUMPY CEO / Chapter 2 - End It All

Chapter 2 - End It All

Reporters filled the exterior of Wade Hospital, the shutter clicks and flashes of cameras filled the air.

"Reporting live from WH, it isn't a rumor that Lucas Wade had gotten into a car accident last night."

"The young master of the Wade got into a terrible accident after he had left one of the Wade's nightclubs last night."

"Lucas Wade is fighting for his life right now."

"They are all saying the exact same thing Bruno hehe." A woman in a Maybach wearing all black clothing had glued her face to the tinted mirror, grinning wildly as she stared outside.

"He won't make it right?" The man who sat in the driver's seat beside her asked worriedly, also in similar clothing color the lady was in.

"No he won't make it, he dare to divorce me, anyone who tries to make me a thing of scorn should just be ready to go down with me," she whispered against the man's lips. "That is why I am telling you right now not to betray me when you become CEO of the Wade's corporation. Lucas won't make it out of there do not worry baby." She pecked the man's cheek, sticking her tongue out running it along the vein of his neck before she pulled away.

"Time to play the pitiful ex…. oh not everyone knows he divorced me, time to play the pitiful wife." Soleil putting on her shade stepped out of the car, guards from the other car that had trailed behind them coming to surround her as the press swarmed them like bees.

"Oh my, oh my ahhhhh." She fell to the floor dramatically as tears ran down her eyes. "My poor husband."

"Mrs. Soleil Wade can you tell us the current situation Mr. Wade is in right now?"

"Why are you in black Mrs. Soleil Wade, did anything happen?"

"Mrs. Wade, did Mr. Wade survive?"

Soleil Wade suddenly gets up as she feigned falling weakly to one of her bodyguard's arms who carried her immediately. "Story for another day."

Evangeline was pulling her suitcase hurriedly in the airport, her face cap almost covering all her face even though she had a mask on. She had sold off the jewelry she had stolen from Bertha, her stepsister leaving her with more fortune to live a better life in college and the new country she would be going to.

She wiped the tears away from her eyes as she boarded the plane knowing there was no one to bid her goodbye, not her mom that was dead, her grandma on her sick bed and bedridden already, not her boyfriend who would be heartbroken knowing she had done this, not her father and step-family who do not even know that she exists.

Maybe one day she would not be the low life Eva, she would be back being fulfilled, she would make money so she would not face prison on her return.

MEXICO

Eight Years Later

"Ms. Soleil, congratulations, your great efforts to your work have paid off, you would be getting promoted to work with excellent nurses in California, you have done a great job here, and Mr. Hale, our chief nursing officer has seen great potential in you and wants you to join their team there, rest assured a house and better opportunities are waiting for you there." The hospital administrator of one of the best hospitals in Mexico held his hand out to the woman who had gone from a smiley face to being shocked.

"Th..thank you sir." Eva stuttered as she took his hand not knowing if to be happy or get herself rushed into one of the ICU units because she was going to have a chronic heart attack. She was going back to California, that was doom itself looking at her.

"We are going to California." Eva fell on the couch lazily as soon as she walked into her apartment, her eyes closing leaving the people in the room astonished.

"I thought you said you loved it here in Mexico."

"I did not make that choice, I am dying of headache because I cannot refuse." Eva replied to the lady with dirty blonde hair sitting opposite the large TV in the room. Two kids sitting on the floor in their pajamas right beside her as they whispered something amidst themselves.

"But Mom, we cannot go to California now, we bought a daddy today and he is very expensive to lose." The little girl who had just said referred to Eva as mom stood up from the couch, her doe eyes requesting pity.

"What daddy?" Eva and the other young lady who looked about Eva's age yelled in unison.

"Jake's dad!!! mom, I told Sabrina Mom would not like him." The other boy, one of the twins, countered folding his arms around his chest as he accused his sister.

"No, he did not tell me that, Jake is Sebastian's best friend, he gave him the toy train and pancakes you made this morning and Jake promised us his dad." Immediately the little girl named Sabrina had said that, the lady on the couch burst into a heap of laughter, her shoulder trembling and Eva's eyes softened pulling her daughter close.

"No one would give you their dad for a train toy, parents are something precious."

"But why do not we have a dad when we have a mom?" Tears streamed down Sabrina's cheek as she got into Eva's laps. "We would get a daddy soon." Eva caresses her hair not knowing what more she would do to be that father figure and mother figure to her kids.

Regrets from eight years created a nasty feeling within her, irritation for herself too. She had never expected a sudden pregnancy result when she came to Mexico, at that time she thought her dream had shattered not until she met her now turned best friend Vivian Meyers whose mother had also worked in the clinic she had gone wanting an abortion. Vivian had made her change her mind and fed her with little tricks of continuing college without being noticed.

If only she had gone for abortion she would not be lying to her kids of a father when they had none. Would she tell them their pregnancy was a mistake of a one night stand?

"We would find a daddy in California yay." Vivian carried Sebastian up from where he sat throwing him in her arms as she swayed him all over the room replacing the sad pout on his lips with light chuckles, and Eva couldn't be more grateful.

"Are you going with us Vivian?" Eva's eyes light up. "Why not? I cannot leave my kiddos." She said winking at Eva.

California...

"Doctor, I noticed something recently. I do not get aroused again. I thought it was me, so I got a whore, and she played the shit out of my cock, but nothing happened… is it because I couldn't see her?" A man stood on the rooftop of a tall building facing one of the busy streets of California with a mysterious aura engulfing him, a sad smile on his face as different thoughts went through his head.

A little cup holding drugs stayed in his hand. Now a ruined man with low self-esteem, battling anxiety and depression in his new world filled with darkness that had swallowed him up totally. Lucas Weid thought committing suicide would pay him after a deep thought.

He thought he could manage blindness, but not after his depression had led him to erectile dysfunction. His father had brought his post down from a CEO to a position he wouldn't wish for his dog, and now, to make it worse, he had become impotent. His beauty was useless, his ego broken to the thinnest.

The bitch he had divorced, thinking she could mock him, and it started all because of the bitch at the nightclub eight years ago… after he had woken up from his last longing come, he had realized from his doctor that they found a hard drug in his system. That shit had led to the accident eight years ago.

He would end this shit right now and maybe the world would have peace without him in it.
