Rosalena's maid stared at her with teary, confused eyes.
"My lady… why are you acting like this? Are you feeling unwell?" The maid sniffled, concern evident in her voice. "Please wait! I'll call the Duke and the Young Lord! They've been so worried ever since you fell into the lake… It's been a whole week since you lost consciousness!"
Before Rosalena could respond, the maid rushed out of the room.
Rosalena sat in stunned silence. My father… my brother… A small, heartfelt smile formed on her lips. That's right. I have them. How could I forget?
Unlike in her previous life, she wasn't alone. Her father and brother were completely obsessed with her. They adored her, spoiled her, and even helped her take revenge.
Moments later, the door burst open. Her father and brother stormed in, their faces twisted with worry.
"My dear, how are you feeling?" her father asked, his voice laced with concern. "Do you have any pain?" But then his expression darkened, his fists clenching in fury. "This is all because of that bastard Crown Prince! How dare he reject my beautiful daughter?! I'll kill him!"
At his side, her brother wore a matching expression of rage. "That damn prince! He'll regret ever crossing you, sister!"
Rosalena's heart swelled with warmth. Tears welled in her eyes—not from sadness, but from pure joy. I have a family… a loving father… a protective brother…
Her father softened, stroking her hair gently. "Tell me, dear… do you still love him?"
Rosalena hesitated for a moment before firmly shaking her head. "No, Father. He's not my type."
A proud smirk spread across the Duke's face. "That's my girl."
Her brother grinned approvingly. "Finally, you've come to your senses."
Her father stood up and turned to the maid. "Take good care of my darling daughter."
The maid bowed. "Yes, my lord."
As they left, Rosalena lay back on her bed, basking in the warmth of their love. This life… is not so bad after all.
A Sudden Flash of Memories
The next day, as Rosalena recovered, a sudden rush of memories struck her.
She saw herself falling into the lake—cold water engulfing her, her limbs flailing. But just before she lost consciousness, she saw something… or rather, someone.
The Crown Prince. And her sister.
Rosalena sat up in bed, her brows furrowing in confusion.
Why were they together when I fell into the lake?
Something wasn't right.
And she was determined to find out the truth.
