Chapter 3 - Chapter Three: Truly A Demon

Deviants, horrible beasts that has terrorized man for over 300 years.

The origin of these beasts were always a mystery to mankind since they first appeared. They suddenly appeared from large fissures, cracks in space. Creatures of all shapes and sizes.

They were hostile beast with little to no intelligence and for some reason targeted mainly humans.

But for some reason they never strayed far from where they appeared, they were always around the area of the fissure.

To survive and fight back, humans began to band together and form groups or factions as they called it.

And after the first successful raid of a deviant horde, it was discovered that the body and core of these beasts could be used for many things, mainly weapons.

And thus, deviant gears were born.

With the introduction of these powerful weapons, hunting down deviants became easier, faster.

'Dead?'

"This.....This has to be a joke." Wyatt's eyes were wild with shock.

"HEY, IS THIS A JOKE OR SOMETHING?"

"SISTER LUCY, THIS ISN'T FUNNY!! THIS ISN'T FUNNY"

Wyatt was screaming like a madman. This was a joke, this had to be a joke.

There was no way Annalise was dead, right, right??

---------

About half an hour later....

"Sister Lucy, sister Lucy." A young reverend sister called after sister Lucy.

"What shall we do sister Lucy, Wyatt won't stop screaming. At this rate he will injure his own larynx." The younger sister sounded worried.

Sister Lucy just scoffed and quickened her face, leaving the young sister baffled.

---------------

"LET ME OUT!" Desperate heavy hits bang on the steel doors of the purgatory.

"LET ME OUT! PLEASE PLEASE." Wyatt was begging now.

The sister outside just stood there, watching the door with a sad expression.

"Annalise...." His voice was getting low.

"Annalise..." His voice cracked.

'she's not dead.' he suddenly wiped his tears and rushed at the door again.

"Open this door, please sister Doris." Wyatt pleaded.

"I'm sorry, Wyatt." The sister outside, sister Doris, finally answered.

"It was confirmed this morning, Annalise...is dead."

"Shut up." He lowered his voice.

"Excuse me?" Sister Doris was shocked, she did that expect such a reply.

"SHUT UP, YOU LIAR." Wyatt raised his voice again, louder this time.

"SISTER LUCY PUT YOU UP TO THIS DIDN'T SHE, DIDN'T SHE?" Wyatt was rabid at this point.

"TELL HER SHE WON ALRIGHT, TELL HER I GIVE UP, TELL HER.." His voice cracked at the end.

"Tell her to stop it, please." He was sobbing now.

"I'm sorry, Wyatt." Her voice equally low. "but i swear on faith, she's gone."

The term 'i swear on my faith' was what the reverend sisters used to show thier sincerity, since nothing was more important to them than their faith.

Sister Doris just winced in pain as she heard Wyatt's cries. Murderer or not, no child should have to go through this much pain.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH...." Wyatt cried, screamed, begged, but nothing could take away the anguish in his heart away.

Sobs,sobs....

Wyatt just let out quiet sobs as he clutched his chest so tightly it drew blood.

Why did she have to die, why her, why did God have to....

God.

"God, God if you can hear me, i hate you..." He voice shaking ever so violently. "I hate you.... Soo much."

The steel doors of purgatory opened up, but Wyatt didn't even flinch from his position.

Sister Lucy just stood there with her back facing Wyatt.

"Leave us." She ordered the sisters who opened the door for her.

The hesitant sisters left and sister Lucy finally turned around, and she was had a wide smile on her face.

"Oh, Wyatt." The amusement in her voice Crystal clear.

Wyatt looked up, eyes wide.

Why was this b*tch smiling?

"Now you truly are alone." Her smile widened further.

Pain, grief, sadness. The intensity of all those emotions paled in comparison to the intensity of what he felt now.

Anger.

"You, you..." His hands slowly gripping his hair.

"You, you, you, you, you, you, you, you...." Wyatt just kept screaming.

The smiling sister suddenly noticed that the locket around his neck was bright red.

Her smile slowly dropped as she noticed this. And then.....

It caught fire.

The now crimson red locket suddenly caught fire, Wyatt along with it.

The moment sister Lucy took one step closer to Wyatt, the purgatory exploded with flames.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH..." The screams that Wyatt let out were much more louder, more painful than it sounded earlier.

The people of the orphanage heard Wyatt's blood chilling screams, before the orphanage lit up in red flames.

Wyatt was in the middle of the flames writhing in pain, moving like a mad man. Never in his miserable life had he felt this much pain.

"IT HURTS, IT HURTS SO MUCH, MAKE IT STOP, SOMEONE HELP ME, ANNALISE." he cried and screamed but no one came. No one was alive to come.

And finally....

The flames all suddenly stopped and Wyatt fell to the ground, charred and burnt to a crisp.

Step, step, step.....

Footsteps were heard in what used to be the orphanage as someone approached where Wyatt's charred body laid.

"I knew that foul presence came from you." The voice traveled across the orphanage.

"You really are a demon orphan aren't you." Sister Lucy stood in front of Wyatt's body, unharmed, while she watched Wyatt's own body heal at an alarming speed.

"I should have killed you the moment i felt you evil presence." Her expressions one of disgust.
