Author's Note

Welcome to I'm The God and This World is Doomed—the story of a god who's sick of watching humanity mess things up (again). Imagine spending eternity recording the rise and fall of worlds, only to wake up as a mortal in a school full of teenagers training to fight the very monsters that obliterated everything. Oh, and did I mention? Serian, our god-turned-student, couldn't care less about the fate of the world—he's seen it all, and frankly, he's over it.

But don't get too comfortable. This isn't just another "superpowered god saves the day" kind of story. Oh no. It's a journey filled with existential dread, sarcastic humor, and a whole lot of "why do humans keep making the same dumb mistakes?" You'll laugh, you'll cry (maybe), and you'll definitely question why humanity keeps repeating its mistakes… even when they have a literal god watching them.

Sneak Peak:

Serian sits on a bench, reading his book. Not far away, soldiers are screaming as they shoot at a rampaging monster. Gunfire, explosions, chaos.

Serian doesn't care.

Then, he sees a flash of crimson eyes. A man stands in front of the monster, calm, deadly, and radiating enough bloodlust to make nature itself recoil.

The monster dies instantly.

The soldiers cheer. Civilians panic. And Serian… just keeps reading.

Then, suddenly, a gun is pressed against his forehead.

Vincent Rutherford (Executioner, Living Nightmare, Tyrant of the Holy Order): "What's your affiliation?"

Serian blinks. Then, without hesitation, he pulls out his student ID and holds it up like a lost tourist.

Vincent stares at it. Stares at Serian. Lowers the gun.

He squints. "You're a student?"

Serian nods.

"…You're not scared?"

Serian tilts his head. "You're just a human. One day, you'll die."

Silence.

Somewhere in the distance, someone drops a plate. A soldier swears under his breath. A civilian faints.

Vincent sighs, rubbing his temples, before finally putting his gun away. "Get out of here, kid."

Serian shrugs and walks off. Later, when Adrian sees the news about Vincent on TV, he turns to Serian in shock.

Adrian: "You ran into that guy and survived?!"

Serian: blinks "He was polite."

Adrian: "…He pointed a gun at your head."

Serian: shrugs "Humans are weird."
