That Dao of seven rivers technique had almost shattered his body. No body had seen it, but one of Mu Shen's overwhelming strength had struck true, severing his bones, but he had used an instant fix technique to skip whatever had happened in a few seconds and those moments where he his body had been shattered had been skipped and erased. Not actually erased from the river of time, but from the minds of others around him.
Qiu Puyu was confident that he would defeat Mu Shen, however Mu Shen also proves to be quite formidable himself.
In the tower of fifth, each floors has its own barriers and obstacles waiting for cultivators to overcome them and advance to the next floor, however as the floors increases, the level of difficulty also increases.
Mu Shen was in the fifth floor, his silver eyes looking at hungry mob of creatures staring at him.
We're they creatures? These odd looking things had a resemblance akin to humans except, they had vines as the lower half of their bodies while the upper half looked humanly.
They were also cultivators.
"What are you doing here? Get lost!" One shouted and Mu Shen trembled.
Leave? He had just escaped the second, third and fourth floor, how can he just walk out? Impossible.
Mu Shen moved forward and met the frightening gazes of almost ten or fifteen of these oddly shaped humans. Mu Shen stopped a few centimeters away and said;
"Who has the highest domain relm here?"
There was a little moment of murmuring and then a strange scruffy man stepped out. "I'm an Explorer."
Mu Shen's face suddenly turned pale. An explorer?
The earliest stages of cultivation is the Seeker domain relm while the second is sentinel. After that there's a Melder relm, a limiter and an explorer. Mu Shen is only a Seeker and the gap was so insurmountable.
Even Qiu Puyu would not be able to defeat an explorer. The man glared at Mu Shen and shouted; "leave this place now!" A terrifying chill suddenly descended and Mu Shen's face turned very pale as white sheet. He could not even move, it was very different from facing Qiu. At least, he had been able to fight back but now, he could not even move even if he wanted to.
Suddenly the void broke and cracks appeared throughout space. Mu Shen's pupils shrank and he used four dimensional lock to suppress the cracks which approached him in all directions, but it was useless.
Chills continuously crawled down his spine and he retreated.
The man had a sneer on his face and then, the sky darkened surreptitiously. However, Mu Shen used Bleeding sky instantly suppressing the darkness that might have erupted.
The thing is Bleeding sky possessed terrifying might, but it's flaw can cause mighty backlash. The explorer suddenly retreated, his eyes cold but shocked.
He stared at the bleeding sky which hung above like an omen of dread, but Mu Shen had learnt his lesson through Qiu Puyu.
Mu Shen uttered: "Let the bleeding sky descend."
Then, everything started to shrink. Almost as if something big was swallowing the universe. Mu Shen also used The heavenly Dao of seven rivers technique, creating a terrifying chill.
Mu Shen was merely a Seeker but, him making even an explorer to feel chills could be considered as an achievement, Mu Shen's eyes was ignited with the power of the red sky and he asked;
"Which is the fastest way out of here?"
The explorer glared at Mu Shen and attacked immediately, but the Dao of seven rivers technique had already given Mu Shen an endless stream of Strength and he slammed his hands down and space shrank down rapidly causing the explorer's expression to change.
"Who are you?" He tried to inquire, but Mu Shen is not someone who is sensible to answer such question after been pushed to the extreme. Mu Shen growled and said;
"This power simply gives endless might, and I will use that to destroy all of you."
His hands slammed on the ground and everything tilted. The floor displayed cracks and everything under the fifth floor sank below the fourth floor. Only Mu Shen remained still as he stood where he had been standing before causing the turmoil that had sunken everything below the fourth floor.
Then his gaze snapped at the base of the fifth floor and there, a jade taliman awaited him.
Mu Shen's eyes sparked.
But then he hesitated. What of the fourth floor? What of the second and third floor? What if a jade taliman has been left behind too? Meaning that he had missed them.
Mu Shen immediately grabbed the jade slip and crushed it. Essence flowed around him and Mu Shen was surprised.
'Si Cheng did not tell me that such an ability existed, huh?'
Ten Abyss Gates.
Mu Shen sat down on the stone altar as he meditated for a bit and in a few days, he opened his eyes. He had managed to comprehend two abyss gates. Just as he was opening his eyes, the sky suddenly shattered over his head.
Mu Shen's pupils constricted and he dodged.
Mu Shen was shocked. It was the explorer.
He was attacking again. After waiting in the fourth floor for almost one week, he is actually attacking now?
The man instantly sneered; "give back the treasure that you stole and I might pretend that none of this ever happened."
Mu Shen's gaze immediately turned firm. "This?"
The power of the first abyss gate roared to life and the entire space was erased.
"Then come take it!"
The abyss suddenly contracted and expands. The feeling of space being distorted enveloped the world in a large scale. The universe immediately seem to bottom out and everything seem to be bottomless and dark— almost chilling that the explorer seem to fall into the deep dark gorge.
The only universe there is the one which encompasses the fifth floor. A Seeker's power can affect only a fraction of the world and the powerful a technique is, the more possible it is to affect the world more deeply.
Mu Shen's eyes grew cold and he said;
"Two abyss gates: Let everything sink!"
The darkness suddenly deepened, thickened and warped. It created a firm, chilling aura that sank into bloods and freezes it completely.
Everyone was floating. Everything was floating. At this moment, Qiu Puyu entered the fifth floor but his eyes widened only when he started to sink into the endless depth of the abyss gates.
"What the hell?"
Qiu Puyu suddenly locked gazes with Mu Shen and his face paled. He suddenly remembered this legendary Technique.
"Is this the Ten Abyss Gates?"
Mu Shen revealed a mocking smile but then, Qiu Puyu also smiled and said; "if you have claimed the Ten Abyss Gates, how about the Flower of Death? Guess who claimed that technique?"
Mu Shen suddenly felt a terrible premonition.
'Not good!'
A might flower appeared and pressed downwards. And then, it started to suck away the deep darkness that existed within the abyss gates.
Mu Shen's face turned pale and he stopped using the ability which returned everything back to normal.
"Where are the others?" Mu Shen asked.
Qiu Puyu laughed and said: "I left them to a terrifying beast at the third floor. I promised to help but betrayed them in the end, how about that?" He laughed.
Mu Shen glared at the explorer who glared at them with keen interest. He was the biggest threat and he could decide to team up with Qiu just to defeat him.
And right at that moment, Qiu Puyu noticed the explorer.
"I know you." Qiu started, his eyes glowing.
"You owe me for saving the queen of vines."
Mu Shen's face turned somber. His suspicion had been correct.
The explorer nodded and asked; "What can I do for my Lord?"
"Let's team up!"
And suddenly, a powerful Flower manifested and suddenly pressed down on everything.
