The drifting tendrils emitted from Qiu's Flower of Death caused Mu Shen to feel an endless chill. He moved to the right, dodging the assault of the incomparably homologous flower and at the same time, avoiding the explorer's crushing punch.
'Ah, I never imagined defending against two undefeatable foes. This is getting serious.'
Qiu Puyu immediately roared. And he moved at an impressive speed that caused the air to part.
Two sources of energy connected. The explorer's crushing punch and Qiu Puyu's flower of death.
Then, it slammed into Mu Shen with terrifying power and he was sent flying.
Mu Shen spat out blood and he smiled. The two attacking forces were truly unfathomable, however he had made some preparations. There was a deafening ring in the atmosphere and three silent energies manifested, instantly creating a barrier between Mu Shen and the duo.
This was the Space interlocking barrier, also known as an Anti-weapon. It was found in one of the cosmic rings that he had plundered from Dou Sheng, Bai Wangyuan, Wang Chung and Tai Chu. Either one of them has this Tedal weapon.
No matter what Qiu Puyu and the explorer do, they are unable to get past the barrier. Their faces were scrunched up in discontentment and unwillingness.
However, Mu Shen headed straight for the sixth floor no longer bothering about the due trapped at the other end of the Space interlocking barrier, it would take the two a very long time to break through the barrier and that was already enough time for Mu Shen to grow much stronger because the battle was bound to continue regardless. He just needed to become a Sentinel and that amounted to an exorbitant sum of star crystals.
However, star crystals weren't the problem. The resources he had plundered was more than enough to help him break through twice. What he needs right now is time.
The sixth floor was eerily silent. The slightest movement caused the ground to groan and debris collapsed from the rooftop. Mu Shen froze, his step halting and his heart chilling.
The sixth floor isn't exactly what it seems like. So silent yet, grave.
The silence only wore on, unintending, terrifying and drifting. And suddenly, the sky shattered.
Mu Shen's pupils shrank rapidly and he retreated.
"What the hell?"
He had not seen what had attacked him, but it had definitely attacked and it was real, so real that it was dreadful.
Mu Shen moved to the left and the Bleeding sky appeared overhead, simmering down at everything below but then, the bleeding sky expanded and suddenly dissolved. It was almost as if his battle technique was expelled from him.
'What the?'
And then, the deafening sound of an ultra-demonic howl resounded, the chilling sound caused an unfathomable darkness to spread. Mu Shen suddenly felt wary, this particular darkness seemed so abnormal and allowing it to touch might cause great damages so he preferred to dodge.
The worst thing is that; he could not see who was attacking him. As a Seeker, it was almost right to be defeated by an unfathomable powerhouse but when the same powerhouse becomes unseen, the situation turns dire.
Mu Shen needed a strategy to escape, but the only thing he could think of is, Zhao Ran's Skybreaker Technique that could cast Illusions.
The thing is; Zhao Ran will not make it up to the sixth floor. The barrier set up by him wouldn't crumble so easily. Only a powerhouse higher than an explorer would be able to shatter the barrier, and the cultivators here within the tower of fifth were not above the explorer relm.
Mu Shen had to think of a much better comeback.
'Should I use the Dao of seven rivers technique?'
Then he realized. 'If his bleeding sky could be expelled then, is it the Dao of seven rivers technique that cannot be expelled?'
As far as Mu Shen was concerned, Wang Juan's technique was merely a battle technique and not something special. In fact, the Technique was only Legendary to ordinary cultivators and those with much lower domain relm.
Mu Shen's face was grave as he moved towards the exit of the sixth floor. But it wasn't easy.
An unseen foe is not something he naturally wants to face. Just as he was about to take the next step forward, space suddenly broke and everything around pressed forward.
And at that moment, two Abyss gates manifested in the void and absorbed everything.
Spatial turbulence quickly extended from the already shattered sky and reached the exit of the sixth floor and space drifted like a swaying boat. Mu Shen's face was pale as the two abyss gates we're being forced away and then in a crumbling sound, the abyss broke apart.
However a hurricane lifted Mu Shen and he was sent reeling towards the sixth floor's wall, there was a groan and the world tilted. An altar stone crumbled before him revealing a jade slip.
Mu Shen's eyes widened and he grabbed it, instantly crushing the jade as essence swirled endlessly around him.
But then the same jade slip that he had crushed, reappeared. Normally after crushing a jade slip, the memory of the Technique to be learnt was supposed to remain but that did not happen. It was as if the same memory had been extracted from him.
Mu Shen wanted to grab the jade slip only to suddenly see the exit before him. Without a second thought, he abandoned the jade slip and entered the seventh floor, all for the sake of saving his own life.
If he had delayed for even a single moment, he would have died. In the sixth floor, a drowning hurricane crushed everything beneath it and whatever existed before was crumbled. Nothing lived!
Mu Shen's eyes closed as he craved for sleep.
