This story is based on the original story "Burning everything" [an original by me, yet to be published].
A girl that suddenly starts to awaken to her true vampire nature, as one of the bloodline of the Nobel Vampire family "Mirals", she gets dragged into a world of political warfare between the nobel families and at the same time she struggles between her fading humanity and the newfound vampiric instincts, not to mention the orders from the Blood council along with the growing rebelion forces from both vampires and humans against the council members and the noble families... with no one around to help or spare time and an even bigger problem looming over the red horizon of her new world, how will she survive?
Eleanora Mirals Malakai starting stats!!
I was kind of bored while writing, so I worked Eleanora stats out (novel version)
And I would like to share it and also note that I will update you whenever it kind of change.
Strength: 7
(Determines physical dmg and its rather easy to understand so i dont need to say more.)
Endurance: 5
(Determines amount of hits someone can take before they get unconscious or when they will feel exhausted from a tiresome exercise)
Intellect: 15
(Not just pure knowledge and how smart a person is, but also determines the damage output of spells or the heal out of them or how powerful they effect is, the ability to understand the arcane arts)
Perception: 6
(Determines the awareness of the person)
Agility: 5
(Do I have to explain this one?)
Will: 10
(Also known as will power, but also determines more than that, from the amount of blood a vampire can have stored and how well they can keep it rather than quickly consuming it all, also how much will they resist mental effects, and lastly, one's connection with its own blood.)
Introduction I
Basics:
We all know vampires as the powerful creatures of the night, the immortals who would rule the world if there was no sun, but that is not quite true.
I personally think its wrong to describe vampires as immortals, the word immortality in it self means the condition of never dying, the condition of being an immortal, immortal means being not susceptible to death, living for ever and never dying, can you see the gap here?
Vampire is not a living being, a vampire is always counted as "undead" just like zombies and stuff, so I dont think you can call a creature that is technically dead as immortal.
Moreover, a vampire as we all know can die from alot of reasons, the sun light as an example, so it can die again, how can you call that being immortal?
And after meeting such true death a vampire cannot simply respawn or anything.
Leaving this aside I want to let you know the fact that every vampire, every single vampire was a human once, But as they get transformed into a vampire their body reaches a dead state, which I will not go to explain how does it work but the fact is the vampire only survives through feeding of living beings blood, and not only human blood.
Garlic:
For your informations garlic is NOT in any way effective against vampires, it just happens that a bloodline of vampires hated it and then people thought it affects them and so the stories grew stronger and stronger until we ended up with cartoons showing kids throwing garlic on the vampire that attacks them inside their house, dump.
Introduction II
The Hunger:
"The immortal hunger, fierce and deep,
On mortal essence, he does feast,
Yet beasts elude his wanton bite,
Their blood runs thin, in the moons' dim light."
Not to be confused with the mere pangs of human need to feed, this insidious yearning is the eternal price for the vampiric powers, the hunger is no mere appetite; it is a primal inexorable force that gnaws at the vampire's very essence.
It manifests as a deep, relentless thirst for the lifeblood of the living.
The sensation brought by the hunger are both physical and psychological. A vampires fangs ache with need, their eyes, normally clear in their predatory sharpness might cloud with haze of red, and their senses are heightened to a razor's edge, honed in on the rhythmic pulsing of a heartbeat in their near vicinity.
For a vampire the hunger is both a gift and a curse, because to harness the power inherent in ones vampiric blood, one must become a beast, a predator shedding the thin mask of humanity in order to prey on others. Most vampires struggle to come with terms with their nature, especially the younger ones, because for all their power and dark gifts, they remain partially human under their undead skin, and carry the morals of their past life with them unto the undeath.
"In the shadows where dark moon gleams,
A bloodhound power, silent, teems,
To wield its gift, a price one pays,
For in the night, all life decays."
Introduction III
Nix Realm:
In the realm of Nix, where the perpetual glow of the two moons, Luna and Sagos, illuminates the land of endless night, a delicate equilibrium exists.
This balance, a symbiosis between human and vampire, has been meticulously maintained by the Blood Council, ensuring that the two can coexist, bound by the unyielding tenets of the blood accords.
Yet, this fragile, centuries old peace is on the brink of collapse.
While the embers of recent mortal rebellion against vampires rule still smolder, warring factions threaten to plunge the realm into an even greater chaos.
This planet is enveloped from all sides in the shadowy embrace of the Dark, the vast primordial void, it is both sanctuary and a prison, mysterious and unknowable in its vast complexity.
Nestled between the vast, moonlit landscapes and dark, mystical boundaries, Nix is a land of contrast -- where looming forests brush against architectural marvels and the mysteries of the past meld with hopes of the future.
The largest landmass in this planet, Nix is the bastion of both life and unlife, thriving in the shadow of ancient catastrophes and present night struggles.
Introduction IV
Lychway:
Lychway is the sprawling, gothic capital of Nix realm, where vampires and humans navigate a centuries old, if fragile truce under the Blood Accords. The city's heart beats with politics, arcane secrets, and whispers of the past, all under the watchful gaze of the Blood Council, the city's ruling body comprised of the trio of leading noble houses:
Oberon, Malakai and Sagrava.
The politic force is affected mainly by those three, and note that the story protagonist belongs to the bloodline of the noble family Mirals, a small part, or rather the smallest part in the noble house Malakai, in other words the protagonists is from Malakai bloodline.
Introduction V
The Blood Accords:
The Blood Accords are a set of ancient binding treaties established between vampires and mortals of Nix.
Recognizing the fragility of mortals and the scarcity of mortal blood required by vampires to survive, both sides drafted the Accords in the aftermath of the ancient war between the living and the undead, The Killing war.
Over the centuries, these Accords have been instrumental in maintaining a delicate balance of power in the realm, preserving both the rule of the Blood Council and freedom of its mortal subjects. Violating the Blood Accords is considered one of the gravest sins, often resulting in most severe of punishments, in the best scenario you will be sentaced to the Blood Pit.
Important notice: some vampires in my story may act or speak in a very high and mighty way or speak lowly of humans and such, nothing is meant behind that more than they think they are better than humans and humans are mere cattle to them, forgetting they also were human once.
But yeah if you are an old fan you wont be fazed by thus as I have the habit to show the humans in very bad ways and means in all my stories. I think thats how I see our kind and cant stop my hand from printing that into my stories.
Commonly used objects I:
Plants: Bloody Tears
Type: fruit tree
A recently discovered type of plant that grows only on dirt that have seen just alot of blood, it marks alot of old battle scenes, in the youth of the plant it feeds upon the blood and nutrients of dead bodies instead of normal nutrients in the dirt and water, as a result it grows a tear shaped fruit, which just happens to be crimson red and filled with a little sticky sore red liquid. The liquid and nutrients of these fruits are very similar to blood, and at first it was taken into consideration as substitute to actual human blood by the Blood council, but as the researches turns out more info about this plants it seems it can only grow in places that actually have seen its share of blood shed, and for making it worse it takes time to grow out and the final amount of fruits from a single tree of it doesnt seem much when compared to actual amount of bodies this grim planet need to grow, and so it was used only as a matter of recycling dead bodies, rebels mostly.
Commonly used objects II:
Consumable: V.Blood
Type: potion
Short for Vampire blood, the powerful blood of the night creature have many effects when used outside of their bodies, for an instance when a vampire drinks some of it it will instatly heals their wounds, but when a mortal takes a taste it can affect them in alot of unexpected ways, temp. surge of energy/power, escatsy, addiction and more side effects both positive and negative but the most important effect I will note here is that if they took amount over few drops and so it can result in death since the mortal body wont be able to keep up with the instant energy surge flowing through it.
Of course it goes without mentioning that the stronger the vampire the V.blood came from the stronger the effects of blood and healing on the vampire who will use it, some vampire warriors store some of their own blood in bottles as a method of a cheap healing, while some elders and scholars vampires sell their blood for quick money as they dont have the time to go around doing quests or starting some trades.
