Getting home, my mother was still absent. I didn't feel surprised because she's usually home pretty late.
Waiting, I decided to lay in bed, my thoughts getting distracted by many things.
Soon, I drifted off to sleep.
I woke up to the full blue moon shining through my window, waking me up. Stepping out of bed, I walked to my window, staring up at the dark sky with stars scattered across it. I decided to leave my room, walking to the kitchen.
"Mom?" I ask, realizing she should already be home. I step outside to find her car missing from our driveway. I look oddly at the driveway before looking towards our neighbor's house across the street. Their lights were shining brightly from their porch. I looked towards their car and noticed a pair of bright blue eyes shining from behind their car. I noticed it looked just like a wolf's head, but I don't believe that wolves grow that big. Do they?
I stared at the wolf's eyes, feeling a sort of connection before I decided to quickly head inside. I did feel the connection, and it kind of scared me.
I stepped inside, closing the door and leaning on it as I kept thinking of those beautiful eyes. I decided to head towards the kitchen to get something to eat. Stepping into the kitchen, I found a huge black wolf with those same dark blue eyes standing right in front of my fridge. I looked at the wolf with fear. This thing was double or even triple my size, but it didn't seem dangerous for some reason. I felt panicked like I was going to have a panic attack or something.
The wolf took a step forward to me and I pushed myself tight up against the wall, trying to avoid getting eaten alive by it.
Seeming to notice my fear, the wolf lay down in front of me, still staring at me with innocence.
Jumping awake, I was breathing heavily, still in my bed. "That was just a dream. Just a dream." I remind myself as I adjust my body to make it so my legs hang off the edge of my bed. I take a deep breath before I decide to get out of my bed to go downstairs to the kitchen.
Stepping into the kitchen, the first thing I noticed was a note.
Sorry to leave in a hurry, darling. Work called again and I'll be heading out of town for a business trip. I'm not sure how long I'll be gone, but I left some money in the cookie jar that will hopefully last you. Make sure to make decent decisions and we will speak about the incident that happened at school when I get back. If you need anything, just call me and I'll hopefully have the chance to answer. I love you, and I will see you later.
XOXO,
Mom
Taking another deep breath, I decide to grab a cup of water before chugging it and heading back up to my room.
Sitting on my comfy hanging chair, I grab my sketchbook and a pencil. I drew what I remembered from the dream, which of course was the wolf. It was so mesmerizing and unforgettable. The eyes were so beautiful and extreme, I just couldn't get them out of my mind.
When I didn't feel like drawing, I decided to pull out my phone as a distraction.
Soon, when I felt bored, I decided to grab my speaker out of my backpack. As I was getting it out, a slip of paper fell out onto my ground. It read:
Remember me? Of course, you do. Anyways this is my phone number, Cupcake.
____
Ezra
I smile at the written message before setting the paper on my dresser. I decide to connect my phone to my speaker and blast my music as I begin to dance and clean.
I was wearing a pair of short shorts with a long shirt that ended below my knees, covering the shorts.
I decide to collect all of the garbage before I get some socks on and take it out while still rocking out to my music.
"I do my hair toss, check my nails-" I continue singing the song as I step outside before I hear a noise coming from the garbage can. I stopped what I was doing before eyeing the garbage can like prey. I had no idea what was in there and I didn't like to get freaked out. I take small steps towards the garbage can before a raccoon finally jumps out of it and quickly scammers away. I take a breath of relief before I finally decide to throw the trash bags into the dumpster. I take another breath of relief before I turn around.
The only problem with turning around was, as soon as I turned around, I felt a pinch in my neck before everything went black and the only thing I heard was "Sorry Luna," And then I officially passed out.
Alpha's POV
I occasionally looked in the back seat to find my mate lying in the back seat on Ezra's shoulder. I'm glad I finally got her. I mean I know it isn't the most thoughtful way of getting her, but what if she decided to not come with me if I had asked her? That would just hurt me and my wolf.
The thought of her not accepting me crosses my mind, making my wolf a little angry.
"Alpha, are you sure that this was the best option?" Ezra asks, looking at me with worry.
"Why are you asking?" I ask, not seeing anything wrong with what we just did.
"I mean," Ezra begins. "She still has school, not to mention her family," He tells me. Well, I guess he has a great point, but I needed her now. My wolf saw her and immediately felt the urge to be near her and to protect her.
"Okay, well," I begin, trying to think. "We will figure this out," I tell him, taking another glance at my darling mate before looking back at the road.
Taking a turn towards the forest, my wolf was extremely excited. He- I mean we finally have our mate.
Pulling into our garage, I turn off the vehicle and step out. Opening the backseat, I gently grab my mate and carefully lift her up.
"Just-" Ezra begins. "Be careful," He says, worried eyes. Why does he seem so interested in her?
I look past his interest in my mate and carefully carry her into our pack house and my room. Gently laying her on my bed and covering her with my blankets, I couldn't stop looking at how beautiful and alluring she was.
