A year passed by in the blink of an eye.
Matt had been accepted as a disciple by a renowned swordmaster and had already begun his aura training. "He's an unpolished gem," his master told Jeff and Lis. "But I will polish him so he can have a great future."
Meanwhile, I was thrilled to see the changes in Matt and hear his exciting stories. "Can you show me your aura?" I asked my big brother.
Of course, Matt couldn't say no to his little sibling. He demonstrated his aura and sword skills, and I was eager to analyze every detail. I bombarded Matt with questions, and with each answer, My smile grew wider.
We even had a friendly sparring match with branches, laughing and enjoying ourselves. Lea watched them with amusement, happy to see her brothers having fun.
But, as with all good things, their time together came to an end. Matt had to leave for a journey to gain experience fighting monsters. The orcs were getting closer, and the kingdom had called for help from adventurers and masters across the land.
"I'll join my master in the fight, where I can gain experience in a relatively safe environment," Matt explained to his parents.
"Be safe, son," Jeff and Lis said, worry in their voices.
And so, Matt set off on a new journey.
