Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

A few weeks later, I was feeling down about my brother's absence. My mother, noticing the sadness, gave me the task of making friends in the village. So, I tried my best, observing the other kids for a while to learn about their interests and the games they liked to play.

But things didn't go as smoothly as I hoped. The other kids soon noticed me watching them and began to make fun of me. They 'invited' me to join a game, only to humiliate me. Because of my observant nature, I wasn't very athletic, and the other kids used that against me.

"We're going to play tag," they said. And so, they did. But I was always the slowest, and the others took pleasure in watching me struggle. I didn't realize at the time that they were enjoying the show of my humiliation.

Days went by, and I started to notice that more and more kids were joining in. A small group of 7 had grown to 20, and with my analytical mind, I realized they were all there because of me—not because I was fun to be around, but because they enjoyed making fun of me.

"That's when I knew for sure," I thought. "They don't like me. They see me as a source of entertainment to use as they please."

That evening, I told my parents everything that had happened. I was upset and blamed them, saying, "If you'd just let me do what I like, none of this would have happened."

But to everyone's surprise, a guest arrived that evening—someone who had witnessed everything. Her name was Allice, and she was known as the most beautiful girl in the village. She apologized to Sebastian and told him she wanted to make up for what had happened.

Jeff and Lis were moved by her gesture. Even Sebastian, though still upset, saw Allice in a different light than the other kids. I told her, "You'll need to play with me every Thursday for a year to make up."

Allice smiled sincerely and agreed to the deal.

The next day, on the 6th day of their games, the group had grown to 23 kids. But after a while, they noticed something surprising—Allice wasn't joining in this time.

To everyone's shock, she didn't show up. And neither did I.
