Chapter 33 - Hope

Ren held Lilith's hand, leading her back to the same training ground where the accident had happened.

The once-damaged space was now fully repaired, as if the explosion had never happened in the first place. 

When they got there, Lilith hesitated at the entrance, her gaze sweeping over the yard. 

Even though all traces of the accident were gone, the air still smelled faintly of scorched wood.

She tensed. "Why are we here?"

Ren turned to her with an easy smile. "Because you need to try again."

Lilith's face scrunched up in confusion. "Try what again?"

Ren said nothing, then her eyes widened in realization before her expression darkened. "No."

Ren just smiled at her, saying nothing

"I lost control, Ren." She said. "What if it happens again? What if it's worse?"

Ren stepped in front of her, keeping his posture relaxed but not dismissive. "Then we'll deal with it. Together."
