Chapter 7 - Volume 2. Chapter 3. Quiet days. Part 2.

In the morning, Canoe went to school, where he met with Mari and Hirata. Before lunch, the day passed as usual, and so the friends went out for a snack together. After choosing a place and buying something to eat, the friends sat down at the table, where they began to share their impressions of the classes. After a while, Miku Hisoko came up to them and asked Canoe to come with her to the student council. Canoe was surprised by this request, but Mari and Hirata were more surprised.

- Did Canoe do something wrong? Marie asked.

- No, no, not at all. Miku answered her. "We have something to discuss, nothing more."

"Very well, then. Marie said, smiling and continuing her meal.

When Canoe and Miku arrived at the student council office, Kai Hisoko was already waiting for them. There was a pleasant atmosphere in the office, there was a book table in the center with a pile of papers on it, and a coffee mug next to them, and sofas on the sides of the tables. There were also large bookcases with various books, reports, and several folders. A little further from the tea table there was a large table and an armchair, at which Kai used to sit and perform the duties of the head.

- Hello, Canoe. Kai said, extending his hand to the Canoe. – I've heard a lot about you, I'm glad to meet you personally.

- Hello. Canoe said, returning the handshake. – I am also glad to meet you, but I would like to know why exactly I was invited.

- Address me as "you". – Kai said, sitting down on the sofa and inviting Canoe to sit next to him.

- Okay, I think it really will be easier this way. Canoe said, sitting down opposite Kai. – So what exactly did you want to discuss?

- I see you want to get straight to the point, but I really just wanted to chat first. – Kai replied with feigned sadness.

- You're a graduate, so now you have more free time. Canoe said, sitting down more comfortably on the couch. – Unfortunately, I don't have much time.

"Well, you're right. Kai replied, putting on a more serious expression. – In general, I know that you are a pretty smart and quick-witted guy, so I suggest that you become the vice-head and help my sister manage the student council.

- An unexpected offer, I would even say very much. Canoe said, surprised by Kai's words.

- I understand, that's why I suggest you until... - Kai began, glancing at the calendar. – So, today is Tuesday, September 2nd, yeah. Then, before the 8th, think about it and decide, okay?

- OK. Canoe replied with a smile. – I'll come back next Monday and let you know my decision.

All this time, Miku was sitting at her papers and copying something, out of the corner of her eye, I noticed that these were reports on the composition of the student council.

- By the way. – Canoe said, getting up from the sofa and turning to Kai. – Tell me one of these days about the duties of the vice head.

"I'll tell you everything." Miku said, ahead of Kai. – This is my responsibility as the head.

"Very well. Canoe said, looking straight into Mick's eyes. At that moment, he saw a pair of dark blue eyes looking straight into his soul. In the compartment with her black hair, they gave some kind of mesmerizing effect, which made Canoe briefly forget what else he wanted to say. – In that case, I'm counting on you, Miku.

- OK. Miku replied with a slight smile.

"If you want to chat, then come in, and if I want to, I'll find you." Kai said, winking at the Canoe.

- Yeah, I'll see you then. Canoe answered him, leaving the student council office.

At the same time, the bell rang, announcing the start of class. Canoe hurriedly returned to the classroom, noticing that Miku did not go to class, but stayed in the student council. "Apparently, those who work in the student council have some kind of exemption," he thought, continuing to listen to the teacher. At the end of class, Canoe and Hirata started waiting for Mari.

- Well, shall we go to my place? I asked my friends when Marie arrived.

- yes. Marie replied with a smile.

"I won't be long today. Hirata replied. – I still need to help around the house.

"Then let's go." Canoe said.

When they got to the Tsushima family's house, Canoe and friends noticed that Han and Manhiro were going somewhere, putting some things in the car near the garage.

"You're coming in, and I'll be right there." Canoe said and went to Han and Manhiro.

When the Canoe approached, Han and Manhiro stopped to rest.

- Dad, Uncle Han, what are you doing here? Canoe asked, trying to see what kind of things they were loading.

- Young Mr. Canoe, good afternoon. Han said, wiping the sweat from his forehead.

"Hey, son. Manhiro replied, scratching his head. – We're throwing the stuff away.

"Really?" Canoe asked, still not seeing what they were packing. – Then why do I have a feeling that this is something illegal?

- Do you also think that he would have believed in any way? Manhiro asked Khan.

- Yeah, he's the son of you and Yui, of course he'd believe it. Khan replied, smiling.

"So what are you doing?" Canoe asked.

- In general, it was necessary to throw away all the papers related to the old "Scarlet Sakura", but we couldn't get our hands on it. Now we've reached it. Manhiro replied.

- Did you seriously write down all the gang's activities on paper? Canoe was surprised. – That's the news.

- Well, firstly, not a gang, but a clan, and secondly, not only our clan is there, but also the activities of many others. Manhiro replied. – Yes, and it wasn't us who led, but journalists and other bloodhounds.

"Yeah,– Canoe said, scratching his head. – By the way, Dad, the organization has its own office right now, right?

- There is, but we rarely gather there. Manhiro replied. – More often at our house, or I send all orders through the Khan, and he sends me reports.

- Very convenient. – I noticed a Canoe. – Okay, then I'll go inside, when will you be back approximately?

- Yes, probably closer to night. Manhiro answered after a moment's thought. – Did you want something?

- Yeah, do you mind if I go for a ride before going to bed? Canoe asked.

"I don't mind, but just be careful. Manhiro replied, going up to his son and patting him on the head. – And stay in touch!

"Well, Dad, I'm not little anymore," Canoe said, straightening his hair. "I'm almost as tall as you are!"

"You'll always be a little boy to me,– Manhiro said with a sad smile.

"Don't worry, Dad, I'll be careful. Canoe replied, realizing that his father had remembered his mother.

- Mister, are we loading up and going? Khan asked.

- Yes, what a gentleman, I told you, call me by my first name. Manhiro replied, nudging Han's shoulder in a friendly manner.

- I'll go then, I'll see you. He waved at the Canoe as he left.

"See you later, young master." Han said, waving at the Canoe.

"See you later, son." Manhiro said with a smile, picking up another box of papers.

Upon entering the house, Canoe saw that Mari and Hirata were already doing homework, so he immediately joined them. An hour later, all the tasks were completed, and the friends were about to start playing the console, but Hirata looked at the time and said he had to go. After saying goodbye to Hirata, Mari and Canoe were left alone, so they decided to play together. A couple of hours later, Marie also got ready to go home.

"Why don't you walk me out?" Marie asked, playing with her hair.

"Why not,– Canoe replied. – I'll take a walk at the same time.

The walk was quite fast, because their houses were practically in the neighborhood.

"See you tomorrow." Canoe said, smiling.

"Wait a minute. Marie said, walking up to the Canoe and hugging it.

"What are you doing?" Canoe was a little surprised, but he hugged her back. "Is something wrong?"

- No, I just wanted to. Marie replied, and then kissed Canoe on the cheek, and then went to the door. – Thanks for seeing me off.

"You're welcome,– Canoe said, surprised by such tenderness.

"See you tomorrow." Marie said, opening the door and waving at the Canoe.

- Yeah, see you tomorrow. Canoe answered her, waving his hand.

"What is she doing..." Canoe thought to himself as he walked home.
