"...what?"
A soft spoken voice laced with disbelief and sadness was heard. The speaker was an obsese girl. The uniform hugging her body was something to behold. Her face, although pale and eyes a pretty doe, her face was fat. Pimples littered on her face. Her glasses resting on her pointed nose and her hair in a messy bun.Compared to the boy whose striking appearance, looks and uniform looked stylish and handsome, she was a mess.
"...hahaha! You want me to repeat myself for someone like you?!" He scoffed. The intensity of the hatred and anger behind the voice was not hard to miss and surprisingly, the boyish voice marred with hate and scorn was made by the handsome boy. His expression riddled with sheer disgust and his eyebrows scrunched in irritation. He looked absolutely affronted by the idea of speaking to the girl. "Fine! I'll repeat myself! I can never be interested in a fatso like you! You're a freakin pig for God's sake!! You shouldn't even be here, you should be in a pig house!!" He hurled slurs and insults on the poor girl, whose expression was one of pain and hopelessness.
"What even made you think something like you could ever enter the eyes of the great me?" With every word spoken by the boy, the expression on her face fell even harder. She looked devastated and hopeless. Her face streaked with fat tears and her brows with pain. The handsome boy who was also the school prince made his way to the obsese girl. "How dare something like you bear the thought of going out with me? I am the most popular boy and handsomest in school and out of all the girls, why would I chose something like this" he pushed her gradually with every word he said as he walked.
"I only showed a bit of kindness to you and you go off on your own and misunderstand. Just die already!" He kept on pushing her. They were standing in the school rooftop. The rusty barricades wasn't a high one and a person could easily cross over it and jump from it to their death.
Suddenly he stopped. He inhaled and exhaled. He recollected and composed himself. "..I didn't mean you should die... I'm sorry but I can't go out with you. You're not my type" it took every ounce of his being to say this. He smiled a very fake smile and apologized to her once again. "... Don't tell anyone what happened here Seol Yoon-ah" His smile didn't reach his eyes.
"...No.." she whispered. Her voice cracked after all of the crying. She turned around and made her way to the barricades. "Let me just die now." She lifted her legs as she crossed the barricades without difficulty. And she stood on the edge. "I'll die now..." Her voice was still in a whisper but the boy from before heard her crystal clear.
He panicked. "No. I'm sorry, I didn't mean it. Come down Yoon-ah" he shouted, his voice terror stricken.
"Pleaseeee... Okay if it's a date you want, then you'll get it" he begged.
Seol Yoon-ah thought about everything that she had gone through just because she was fat. How all of her classmates made fun of her and called her names, the bullying she went through. She sighed. The class introvert, Lee Tae mo told her this would happen, albeit a bit harshly. She should have listened. She thought Cha Woo in was her friend. She thought Cha Woo in liked her like she did. He flirted with her when they were alone too. Was all of that a joke? Was she a joke? But why? Why was she the joke? Because she was fat and ugly? That was definitely the case. Lee Tae mo told her that Cha Woo in wasn't interested in her and was only using her because she was smart. She didn't listen. She completely zoned out Cha Woo in's cries in the background. There was no point in doing this. If she jumped, what about her dreams, of being the best graduating student, of going to a prestigious university, what about her dreams of traveling the world, what about her younger brother and parents, what about her dreams of seeing Tayolar swiss in a live concert one day abroad? She shivered. With a gentle shake of her head, she decided.
I'm not doing this.
She regained clarity and looked Cha Woo in in the eye. "..I was only kidding..haha.." she sniffed and swallowed her snot. She wasn't going to embarrass herself anymore than this. She forced a smile and cleaned her face. Cha Woo in also stopped screaming her name and calmed down. He scratched his head and looked away. He couldn't look her in the eye. "Okay"
Yoon-ah slowly lifted her legs as she crossed the barricades. Cha Woo in seeing this, quickly bolted for the door. Yoon-ah still couldn't believe that the angelic school prince that was charismatic and cool was actually quite demonic. She would never forget this.
So many thoughts crossed her mind. Her mind numb and adrift. She didn't quite know how to feel. She stopped her movement to take a breather. She inhaled and exhaled.
She held her chest as she took in deep breaths. This rejection was going to go down in history for her as the third worst thing that has ever happened to her. She accessed her background and her situation. Ah my skirt is stucked to the fence.
She grabbed the fence with one arm and dragged her skirt with the other. Every drag reverberated the whole barricade. She didn't stop and kept on dragging it. The creaky sounds of the fence was a bit concerning but Yoon-ah paid it no mind. This back and forth between Yoon-ah and the barricades went on for about three minutes. She was getting a bit tired and sweaty. Lunch break was ending soon and she needed to eat something.
With a loud bang of the door hitting the wall, came two guests. Seol Yoon-ah's acquaintances, loner Lee Tae mo and weird Shin Min-ah. The loud noise startled Yoon-ah but she was able to successfully release her long skirt from the barricades. "You guys.. what are you doing here?" She was huffing and panting. That took her a lot of effort. She rested her hand and body on the barricades, full attention on the newcomers.
Shin Min-ah wasn't one to hold back when she started talking. "We came to check on you-- YOON-AH!"
"NO!"
She fell.
