AT THE SAME TIME
THIRD PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW:
Michael, still standing in the corner, stared wide eyed at Isabella before his gaze shifted to Wanessa. There was a flush creeping up his neck, a mix of relief and embarrassment at having been so tense moments ago. The blush on his face deepened when he noticed how everyone else was looking at him. Xavier, who had been silently observing, smirked. He raised an eyebrow at Michael's reaction, clearly amused.
"Looks like someone's got a soft spot." Xavier teased, nudging Michael with his elbow.
Michael shot him an annoyed glance but couldn't hide the flush on his cheeks.
"Shut up."Michael blushed.
Wren, who had been watching the whole scene with quiet amusement, let out a small snort of laughter. She pushed herself off the wall and walked to the center of the room, as she was about to reveal something far more important than any awkward tension.
"Alright." Wren began, her voice taking on a more serious tone, one that commanded attention. "Now that Wanessa is awake and stable, finally I think it's time I tell you the truth about all of this. The truth about where we are, what's going on, and why we're stuck in this messed up situation."
"You're not just in some random world. You're in a game." Wren announced, her eyes scanning the room to make sure everyone was paying attention.
There was an immediate, stunned silence. Michael's brow furrowed, and Terrence looked as if he hadn't heard her correctly. The princes, clearly caught off guard, exchanged confused glances.
"A game?" Michael finally asked, still skeptical. "Like some sort of twisted reality?"
Wren's grin twisted, her gaze sharp.
"Not exactly. You're in Nightfall: The Werewolves Hunt. It's a survival game. A game that's never been finished. A game that's just as real as the world you think you know. It's not some kind of weird simulation this is a reality for us now."She said.
There was a long pause as the room absorbed this information. Michael shifted uncomfortably, his expression shifting from confusion to irritation.
"So, let me get this straight. You're telling us we're in a game? Like some kind of... reverse harem game?"Michael asked.
Wren's grin grew even wider.
"Exactly. A reverse harem. In this world, there's supposed to be one girl surrounded by a bunch of guys guys who want to protect her, claim her, fight for her. You guys are the guys. And Wanessa, well... she's the girl. She's the one everyone's supposed to fight for. But-"
She stopped herself, her eyes narrowing.
"There's a twist. The game was never finished. The creators didn't complete the storyline, so it's all up to us now. There's a way to change the rules, to alter the course of things. We don't have to follow the original game's script. We can bend it. And I know how to make that happen."
The princes stood frozen, looking at each other as the reality of Wren's words sank in. The silence stretched long enough that even Wanessa, who had been recovering, glanced up, her gaze confused. She blinked a few times before her voice, soft and tired, broke through the quiet.
"Wren… what exactly are you saying?" Wanessa's voice was still a little weak, but there was an edge of concern there as she looked between the group.
Wren's eyes softened, just a touch, before she turned to face Wanessa fully.
"I'm saying, this isn't just some random world we've stumbled into. We're in a game where the rules are ours to rewrite. But I'm not doing it for fun, I'm doing it to help you. To help us all get out of here, or at least make sure we survive it." She hesitated. "There are too many dangers, too many unknowns. But we can make it if we work together."
Xavier, who had been silent for most of the exchange, spoke up then, his voice low and measured.
"So, what's the deal with the whole 'reverse harem' thing? What exactly are we supposed to do in this 'game' to get out?"Xavier asked.
Wren's grin returned, sharp and knowing.
"That depends on you. You'll each have to prove your worth, prove you can win. If you want to be her alpha, you'll have to earn it. This game, it's about survival, about control. The real question is whether or not you can make it through. And if you're ready for the consequences if you don't."Wren said. "You guys wanted answers? Now you've got them. But this is just the beginning."
Michael rubbed the back of his neck, his voice a little strained.
"I still don't get it. This whole thing feels... too impossible."Michael said.
Wren chuckled darkly.
"Welcome to Nightfall: The Werewolves Hunt. Just remember, if you want a chance to survive this, you'll need to stay sharp. And you'll need to work together. The rules have changed, and the endgame? It's still a mystery."Wren said.
"But, just so we're clear, Wanessa's not just some piece in a game. She's the key. So if you want your shot at her and trust me, you all want your shot, you'd better step up."
Soon Wren caught the flicker in Michael's eyes before anyone else did. He was trying to be subtle, but he clearly wasn't doing a great job of it. His gaze kept flicking back to Isabella, and Wren's eyes sparkled with mischievous amusement. She grinned.
"Ohhh, Michael." She teased, strolling over to where he was standing. "I see it. I see you looking at Isabella over there."
Michael immediately flushed, his face turning a shade of red that could rival a tomato.
"I I'm not what?" He stammered, clearly caught off guard. "No, I wasn't-"
"Oh, come on. It's written all over your face. You're already eyeing her whole time."Wren grinned.
Michael sputtered, glancing at Isabella, who was now innocently fiddling with the edge of her sleeve. She didn't even seem to notice.
"It's not like that!" He protested, hands up in defense.
"Uh-huh, sure." Wren said, clearly not buying it. She winked at the other two princes, Terrence and Xavier. "Guess Michael's not the only one, huh? You two have any interest in a little... competition?"Wren grinned.
Xavier, who had been silently enjoying the chaos, finally laughed, breaking the tension in the room.
"You're impossible." He said, chuckling as he leaned against the wall.
Wren turned her attention back to the group, still grinning.
"But listen, here's the deal. If you want your shot at Wanessa or anyone else, for that matter this game's a lot more complicated than just fighting for a girl's attention. There's survival, there's strategy, and trust me, you'll need it. It's not all about good looks and charm well, maybe for Michael, it is." She teased, before he could protest again. "But the real challenge is figuring out how to stay alive. There's more than one way to win this game... and it's not always what it seems."
Xavier, who had been silent, smirked and raised his eyebrows.
"So, this game's not just about romance. There's danger, too? Let me guess, we'll have to fight rogue wolves or something?"Xavier asked.
"If only it were that simple. But maybe. You'll have to figure out the rules as we go. Just don't expect it to be easy. Or fair. Or even fun."Wren said.
"Okay, so now we're supposed to fight for... survival? And you expect us to be okay with this?"Michael asked.
"Don't worry." Wren said with a wink. "I'm here to make sure you guys survive the first round. After that, you're on your own. Well, except for the whole 'alpha' thing, which I'll help with. But no promises."Wren said.
There was a beat of silence before Wren dropped the bomb.
"So, yeah, you'll each get a shot at a lady... or three. But here's the catch if you don't prove yourselves, you get nothing. The game's over for you."Wren smirked.
Terrence and Xavier exchanged glances, but before they could comment, Michael spoke up.
"What happens if none of us make it?"Michael asked.
Wren's smile was wicked, but her voice oftened with just a hint of warning.
"Then you lose everything. The game's got no mercy. Remember it's a survival game."Wren repeated. "But hey, don't worry. We'll see who survives this game. And I have a feeling you guys are up for the challenge. Just... remember, it's about more than just picking a woman. It's about surviving together."
Everyone looked at Wren and nodded. It seems that after telling what is this world is about everyone understood that they have to work together to reach the end.
