29 YEARS LATER…
Chris, a young handsome bloke, dark skinned, clean low cut, and wealthily dressed was sitting in his swivel chair doing some work on his desktop.
The door opened, and a young and sophisticated lady came in, obviously, his secretary walked in and Chris didn't bother looking at her, his gaze still fixed on the screen. "I met with that Victor Nnamdi. He is thinking of asking me to buy shares from his company. Cancel every scheduled meeting with him. I am not buying any shares with him."
"Okay sir," She sounded like she had a big lump in her throat, trying to fight tears.
Chris looked up at her and into her eyes. She was about to turn away and leave after taking some files off his table but she caught him staring.
"Any other thing sir?"
"Give yourself the peace you deserve. Let it all go. Yes, he is annoying and thoughtless at times but he is sorry, forgive him. It's not easy to find a good man out there you know."
Jane looked up at the ceiling trying to fight back tears but it all went down her cheek like rivers of living water.
"I feel like I am carrying a very heavy burden right now" she sniffled and exhaled.
"If he had cheated on you or domestically abused you, I would have asked you to dump him but, you just have to forgive him. He is a man and feeling entitled is something that we are fond of.
Jane started crying "He really ruined everything."
"I understand that feeling but don't hurt yourself trying to act uptight. He might give up on you if you don't forgive him any sooner and I am not sure you would want that."
"Sir," She wipes the tears off her face, "I don't know what you are doing in an office. You have great gifts and should be somewhere else."
"I am just smart"
Jane gave a wry laugh and rolled her eyes, "Smart indeed, this is a spiritual gift but you don't like talking about it so I'm just going to say thank you for helping me feel better. Thank you, sir.
"You are welcome."
Chris sank into his swivel chair smiling widely.
