Linggis brought N-Cleren to a smooth stop in a secluded area, far from the bustling city. The location was an open field with a few tall trees scattered sporadically. There were no buildings or people in sight, only the gentle breeze and a sky that grew increasingly red from the anomalous energy of the dungeon about to emerge.
Elyysia and Sola stepped out of the car, looking confused.
"Why did we stop here?" Elyysia asked, her tone filled with disbelief. "The dungeon is in the city, not here."
Linggis didn't answer. He walked to N-Cleren's trunk, which opened automatically. From inside, he pulled out several metal rods, small gears, and other mechanical components.
Sola frowned. "What are you doing?"
Linggis placed all the components on the ground and began assembling something with precise, practiced movements. His hands worked quickly, connecting the metal pieces with astonishing precision. Each sound of metal scraping against metal rang like a mechanical symphony to those watching.
"A bow?" Elyysia tilted her head, baffled. "Seriously? You're planning to take on an SSS-rank dungeon with a bow?"
Linggis smirked slightly without taking his eyes off his creation. "Not just any bow."
He attached a flexible, lightweight metal string to the large metallic frame that had now taken the shape of a bow. Additional components, including a spring-loaded mechanism and small wheels, made the weapon look more like a high-tech device than a traditional one.
Sola stared at it in admiration. "I didn't know you had a talent for weapon crafting."
"This isn't talent—it's necessity," Linggis replied casually, pulling the bowstring to test its tension. "Sometimes, advanced technology isn't as effective as a simple solution designed the right way."
Elyysia still looked skeptical. "And what exactly is your plan with that bow?"
Linggis wore a confident expression. "This dungeon is about to open with an unstable surge of anomalous energy. If I can shoot directly into its energy core before the dungeon fully forms, there's a high chance I can stop it from opening."
"And if you fail?" Sola narrowed his eyes.
Linggis grinned. "If I fail, at least I'll fail with style."
With the massive bow now fully assembled, Linggis stood tall. His eyes locked onto the sky, which was growing hotter with blazing red energy.
"It's time to make history," he murmured. "Are you two ready to witness it?"
