The howling wind grew fiercer as a vortex of dark clouds formed in the distance, directly above the city. Boiling red energy swirled wildly, signaling that the SSS-rank dungeon gate was opening at full power. Lightning flashed relentlessly across the sky, adding to the ominous atmosphere.
Linggis stood firm in the middle of the vast field. The massive arrow he had assembled was now perfectly set in the custom-designed iron bow. His left hand gripped the bow tightly, while his right hand pulled back the string, holding a gleaming black metal arrow. Electricity began to surge from his body, enveloping the arrow in bright blue lightning.
A terrifying aura radiated from Linggis, causing the ground around him to crack and tremble. Even Elyysia and Sola, standing several meters away, were forced to step back under the immense pressure of his energy.
"Linggis... this is insane," Elyysia murmured, her face tense. "You're going to destroy yourself with that much energy!"
Linggis didn't respond. His eyes remained sharp, fully focused on his target in the distance—the massive gate slowly opening above the city, emitting a terrifying red glow.
"Don't miss," he whispered to himself.
With a powerful roar, Linggis released the arrow.
A thunderous explosion erupted as the arrow shot forward at an incredible speed, leaving behind a trail of lightning and a whirlwind that tore through the ground. Trees were uprooted, rocks were sent flying, and the earth cracked under the destructive force left in the arrow's wake.
The sky trembled as the arrow flew with perfect accuracy toward the dungeon gate's core. Blue and red energy clashed in the air, triggering a massive explosion that shook the earth. The dungeon's wild energy seemed to be absorbed by the electric surge radiating from Linggis' arrow.
A final deafening boom echoed, and the swirling storm that had dominated the sky slowly began to dissipate. The boiling red energy vanished, leaving behind a sky that was dark but peaceful once more.
Linggis fell to his knees, his breathing ragged. His hand, which had pulled the bowstring, trembled violently, but his expression remained calm.
Elyysia and Sola ran toward him, their faces filled with shock.
"You actually did it..." Elyysia whispered, still in disbelief.
Sola stared at the sky, now free of anomalies. "An SSS-rank dungeon... completely erased, just like that."
Linggis gave a faint smile. "Told you… just leave it to me."
Sola looked at him, both confused and in awe. "So… how does it feel to witness history?"
Elyysia let out a small laugh, still stunned. "Crazy... I think you just became a living legend, Linggis."
Linggis took a deep breath. "And hopefully… after this, I can finally retire."
