Chapter 23 - THE EXCITEMENT BEFORE THE SANDSTORM

"Jarvis, status report! What's with these readings?" Iron Man muttered, scanning his HUD as chaos erupted around him.

"Sir, you've incapacitated 67 hostile operatives, including two commanding officers. Additionally, your Arc Reactor-powered suit has accumulated substantial combat data," Jarvis replied smoothly.

"Perfect. Level 8 progress: 40 out of 800 experience points. And I've got… three Summon Points? Well, that's definitely new." Tony Stark grinned beneath his helmet, initiating an experimental command.

"Let's test this. Summon a Poison Demon Bird!"

Within moments, a 16-meter bioengineered beast materialized in his suit's Monster Space.

"Whoa! Genetic anomaly detected. This thing's huge. I'll call you… Venomwing." Tony smirked as the system analyzed its stats. "Jarvis, release it—front and center."

The Poison Demon Bird descended with a ground-shaking thud, its wings whipping up a powerful dust storm that blanketed the battlefield.

Tony took a quick scan of the chaos. "Venomwing, let's light this place up."

The creature roared with ferocity, launching itself into the enemy ranks. It swooped down, unleashing destruction with every beat of its wings.

Tony activated a new weapon in his arsenal—a retractable, 4-meter katana that gleamed crimson in the dim light.

"If one hit doesn't cut it, just go in for another!" His gaze locked on the last armored vehicle still attempting to escape.

Swoosh!

"Deus Ex Machina!" Tony yelled as his katana sliced effortlessly through the vehicle's exterior.

A fiery red line split through the truck's armor.

Boom!

The explosion tore the vehicle in half, leaving only a terrified soldier in the cab, staring in disbelief at the man in the Iron Man suit.

"Jarvis, release all summons. Let's clean this up."

Five streaks of white light illuminated the battlefield as monstrous allies reappeared, roaring as they surged forward to finish the fight.

The beasts tore through the remaining enemies with calculated precision.Venomwing, Tony's smaller but deadlier venomous bird summon, darted toward an armed jeep attempting to escape. Dahua, the massive dragon-like beast, joined in, smashing the vehicle to pieces with its claws.

Scott and Derick, two fierce jackal-like summons, sniffed out hidden enemies, tearing apart the last resistance.

Within half an hour, the battlefield was silent. The last fleeing truck melted away in pools of venom.

"Jarvis," Tony said, scanning the battlefield, "give me a status update on the summons."

"Sir, all dragon-class entities are adapting to this universe's rules. Individual abilities are undergoing upgrades. Notable changes include Venomwing's acquisition of a new skill: Treasure Hunting."

"Treasure hunting? What are we, pirates now?" Tony muttered.

"Additionally, the jackal-like creatures Scott and Derick have gained Food Storage capabilities. Other lower-tier dragons may require ranking up to unlock special abilities."

Tony frowned. "When will the others evolve? What's the next skill tier?"

"Unknown, sir," Jarvis responded.

Tony rolled his eyes. "Ugh, this system is useless sometimes."

He turned his attention to Raven and Dahua, who showed signs of battle damage. Tony's expression softened. "You guys did great. Rest up for now."

"Jarvis, recall all summons except Venomwing,Let's move."

As the sandstorm drew closer, Tony knew he was short on time. "Venomwing, go fetch whatever intel you can from that armored vehicle."

The bird sprinted toward the wreckage, prying open the rear door with its claws. Moments later, it returned, dropping a military backpack at Tony's feet.

"Let's see… Razor? Useless. Big kettle? Weird smell—trash. Uh… feminine hygiene products? Why?!" Tony groaned. "Wait a second… Military map? Jackpot!"

"Jarvis, time to wrap this up. Recall Venomwing and release Falcon. Let's fly outta here."

Falcon roared, unfurling its massive wings. With a few powerful flaps, the beast launched into the air, carrying Tony above the battlefield.

The sandstorm swallowed the remains of the battlefield behind them as they soared to safety.

Elsewhere, Freedom Fighter Base No. 3:

"You've got to be kidding me!" the base leader shouted, slamming his fists on the table. "Base 4 had tanks, armored vehicles—everything. Now you're telling me we've lost contact?!"

A nervous soldier stammered, "Sir, there's a sandstorm approaching from that direction. It's possible… they were buried."

The leader cursed under his breath. "Gather the troops. We're falling back to Base 1. This is Stark's doings, isn't it? Damn that Avenger.

Before he could finish, gunfire erupted outside, followed by panicked screams and unearthly roars.

A bloodied fighter stumbled into the room. "Enemy attack! We're under siege!"

"Government forces? SHIELD?" the leader demanded.

"No… no… demons!"

A massive shadow loomed behind the soldier. Razor-sharp teeth gleamed in the dim light as a monstrous figure growled.

Iron Man stepped into view, flames licking the edges of his suit. "Your forces are done. Now, let's talk."

The leader tried to keep his composure, trembling as he spoke. "I… I can be useful. I could work for you—be your inside man!"

Tony scanned him, unimpressed. "I only need one thing from you

"silence",

Can you guarantee that?"

The leader nodded frantically, trembling as he raised his gun to his temple.

"I swear, you won't hear a word from me!"

But panic overtook him. Instead, he turned the gun on Tony, firing three shots point blank at his helmet.

The bullets ricocheted harmlessly.

Tony smirked.

"Wrong move buddy,

Falcon ,he's all yours."

As the beast lunged forward, Tony turned to leave, muttering, "I just came to make an impression. Mission accomplished."
