Chapter 24 - NEW MOVES

Afghanistan, 16,500 Feet Above Sea Level

The cold winds howled, slicing through the barren mountains as Watson reclined lazily on the back of his summoned Raven, a 16-meter-long poisonous demon bird.

"After that last battle, the skirmishes at outposts 3 and 2 felt lackluster... no spark," he muttered, staring into the horizon. The resistance at outpost 2 was weaker than outpost 3. Honestly, it was almost boring.

Watson idly opened his system interface to tally his gains.

"System, show me the stats on experience."

Ding!

Freedom Fighters killed: 50 (+500 XP)

Freedom Fighter Leaders killed: 2 (+100 XP)

Total Experience: 600 XP

Ding!

Current Level: 9

Experience Points: 330/900

Summon Points: 3

"Not bad," Watson mused. "One more stronghold left. When I rescue Iron Man from Base 1, I should hit level 10."

He scratched his chin thoughtfully. "I was saving my summon points for the next stage of monsters, but I can't resist seeing this bird of prey in action."

Suddenly, the system chimed again.

Ding!

Nearby Alert: Large number of armed personnel detected.

Watson squinted and opened his mini-map. A massive red cluster appeared, surrounding two green dots labeled "Iron Man" and "Ethan."

His lips curled into a grin. "Time to move.Raven, you ready?"

The demon bird screeched in response, flaring its wings.

"Alright, big guy, let's show them what we're made of."

Inside the Terrorist Base

The bald leader leaned over a monitor, barking orders. His face was grim as reports flooded in.

"Boss, we've lost contact with all the units at outposts 4, 3, and 2!" one of his men stammered. "The last transmission mentioned... a devil."

The leader slammed his fist on the table. "A devil? This is Afghanistan, not America. No one celebrates Halloween here!"

He glared at the screen showing Tony Stark and Ethan working feverishly on something. "Double the guard. Prepare the tanks. If the devil comes here, we'll send him straight to hell."

The base erupted into chaos as men scrambled to battle positions. "Move the ammunition! Get the tanks ready!"

Inside the Cave

Tony Stark had just finished assembling a piece of his crude Mark I suit when he heard the commotion outside.

"What's going on?" he asked, his sharp instincts picking up on the low rumble of tank treads.

Ethan, his captive companion, peeked through the small window on the steel door. "They're preparing for battle. It looks like they're expecting something... or someone."

Tony narrowed his eyes. "Sounds like they're onto us. We need to move faster."

The door's tiny hatch swung open as a guard demanded, "How much longer, Stark?!"

"One hour! Just one more hour!" Stark yelled back, buying time.

The guard relayed the message to his superior, but before he could settle in, a monstrous howl reverberated through the air, sending shivers down everyone's spines.

Outside the Base

Freedom fighters froze as the shriek pierced the night. A massive shadow eclipsed the moon, and seconds later, a colossal beast—a sand dragon—crashed into the middle of the camp like a meteor.

Boom! The earth trembled as sand and dust exploded into the air. Terrorists were thrown off their feet, tanks overturned, and chaos erupted.

Ding!

Earth Sand Dragon (Small) killed Freedom Fighters: 4

"System," Watson said coolly, perched on the dragon's head, "you know the drill. Tally the experience after the dust settles."

The sand dragon roared as Watson surveyed the battlefield. Below, what remained of a tank lay crushed under Sand dragon massive claw.

"This new move is amazing," Watson mused, admiring the devastation caused by his Sand Meteor Drop attack.

Freedom fighters stared up in horror at the massive dragon. A dark figure stood atop its head, shrouded in shadows, holding a colossal blade.

"Fire!" someone screamed.

Gunfire erupted, bullets pinging harmlessly off the dragon's armored hide. Watson laughed, amused by their futile efforts.

"System," he commanded, "release Kull, Scott, and Raven."

A bright light flashed, and three more monstrous summons appeared: a flaming wyvern, an icy serpent, and a raven as black as the abyss.

"Raven," Watson called to his demon birds, "you're free to have fun."

Drawing his massive four-meter-long flying dragon sword, Watson whispered beneath his helmet, his voice dripping with menace, "Let's give them a real taste of hell."

The battlefield descended into chaos as Watson's monsters charged forward, tearing through the ranks of terrified soldiers.

For the terrorists, the "devil" had arrived—and there would be no mercy.
