Mars also had Fana's fire magic, capable of reaching very high temperatures that can even negate Nozel's mercury magic but more importantly for me, capable of healing wounds.
I couldn't help but smile.
I started laughing.
"Kozuki the kid gets up you really are incap-" one of the three men said.
The man I assume is Kozuki slapped the one who spoke and says to the other man next to him "Do it."
The other man followed the order by killing the one who was slapped with astonishing speed, directly before my eyes. Honestly it calmed me down. This is the first time I've seen someone get murdered in front of me.
'Damn, I need to pull myself together.'
Without waiting I create a crystal sword and send it to cut Kozuki's neck but it didn't connect the man who killed the other blocked the attack.
'Piss off who is this asshole.' I get angry in my mind.
"Kozuki be careful if I hadn't be there he would have got you"
"Kenshi do you really think I would die at the hands of a kid?" he asked shocked.
"I'm just telling you to be careful, don't tire me."
While they were arguing I made crystal spikes come out of the ground this time I managed to impale Kozuki but Kenshi dodged the spike thanks to his quirk which with what I understood allows him to have the abilities of a religious mints, I didn't notice it at first, because he's dressed in black, and it's dark but the way his arms are curved and the fact that he hasn't been pierced must be thanks to his exoskeleton.
"Little shit how am I going to get my pay if you kill my employer! Do you think I didn't want to do it too?"
'and now it's my fault.'
I think of a quick solution and there I have a plan I block his feet in the ground using blocks of crystals then I start running towards him, go behind his back and create a sharp blade that I plant in his exoskeleton.
"What are you doing you little shit" he tries to get away and grab me but I'm behind his back and he doesn't have the strength to break my crystals which are blocking his feet. I dig deeper with my blade.
After managing to drill a hole in his exoskeleton I put my hand in it and burned him alive."I beg you, stop! stop! stop! stop! pl...ea..se....sto...p"
"Goodbye bastard" I say in a disgusted tone.
The fight itself wasn't that complicated, I just think that since it was the first, I had a lot of pressure and I didn't manage to pull myself together as quickly as I would like.
Sigh 'Now all I have to do is clean it all up' I cancel my quirk to remove all traces of its use, I bring the three bodies side by side and I char them. Then I make a crystal urn where I put the remaining ashes. I go to a street further away to get rid of what I have, I throw the ashes from the urn into the manholes.
After doing everything properly, I hit the road to head back home.
When I arrived on my floor, I went to my apartment, took out my keys, and opened the door. As I opened it, I saw my mother sitting in a chair and for the first time since the day I was born, I saw tears on her face but in that moment, I saw her so vulnerable and alone. Usually, she's always calm, with this cold aura around her.
Honestly, I think up until that point, I had always been disconnected from reality, or rather, I hadn't fully accepted this life as my new reality. If I didn't come back, my mother would be left with nothing. She no longer has a father, a mother, and I don't even know who my father is. She stood up and hugged me. "Takashi, where have you been?"
"Mom, don't cry. I was just with my friends, we played some basketball, and lost track of time. I'm sorry."
She wiped away her tears, straightened up, and said, "Alright, if you say so, but don't do this again without letting me know in advance. Come on, now, come eat. You must be starving."
That evening, we talked a lot and even laughed together.
The next day...
"Takashi, can you go get my keys from my room? I'm a bit late for work."
"Yes, mom, I'll be right there with them." As I entered her room, I saw the keys on her nightstand, but I also accidentally noticed some photos under her bed. She must have taken them out yesterday when she was worried about where I was. So I decided to come back later to put them away.
"Here you go, mom. Have a good day."
"You too, but make sure to practice a bit, especially your flexibility."
"Yes, I will." Then she left for work. It's the weekend for me, so no school. So, I decided to go clean my mom's room. When I got to the photos, I saw...him my father.
And that's when everything started to click. In the photo I was holding, the man next to my mother was none other than Enji Todoroki.
'That must be the explanation for my fire quirk. And when I think about it, my mother's quirk is to create snowflakes—so snow.
He must have tried to create one of those "perfect combination" children with my mother, which turns out to be me. But, being married and having other kids, he probably abandoned my mom, who was just some kind of backup plan in his eyes. If that's really the case, I can understand why my mother has so many expectations of me—it would probably be her personal revenge.
I was already determined to be the best, but I don't know why, this motivates me even more. Maybe I'm more attached to Akari than I thought.
I don't have all the pieces to fully understand, but I think I have an idea of the dynamic now.'
"Yeah, I understand it now."
