Harriet was still examining herself and wondering how she could have transmigrated when her head began to pound and strange memories began to flash through her mind. She gritted her teeth and sat down on the floor, grieving in agony, and the throbbing stopped after about half an hour.
. When Harriet got to her feet, she was sweating profusely and her legs were shaky. She composed herself and began to reenact all of the memories that had been pushed into her head. "What a coincidence," Harriet thought to herself when she realized that she and the owner of this body had the same last name and name. The memory also taught her why people didn't appear to like her.
Harriet learned from her memories that this kingdom is called the Bloodlust Howlers Kingdom. She also learned how the kingdoms came to be; once, the wolves just had packs and no kingdoms like this, but the vampires compelled them to establish one.
Despite being magical beings, wolves only live to be around 600 years old, whereas vampires live forever. While wolves have quick healing abilities, speed, and power, vampires' existence is like the world trying to make fun of them because they also possess those powers, and theirs is even stronger.
It takes three wolves to defeat one vampire. Although vampires are more powerful than wolves, there was no problem in the first place because vampires cannot reproduce and, unlike wolves, do not travel in packs; therefore, the wolves never fear vampires.
And as time passes, it becomes more difficult for the vampires to transform humans. Because humans have learned how to protect themselves, they have begun the practice of creating kingdoms and hiring witches to put protection on the walls to keep vampires from entering their kingdoms. As a result, the vampires only target those who reside in villages. But all changes when one vampire in particular, powerful unlike any other, rises up and begins recruiting the other vampires under his wing, using a submit-or-die strategy to force them to join his cause.
That is when the misfortune of the wolves originated; if they had decided to stop the powerful vampire from gathering the others, then they might still have a chance, but instead they opted to ignore it since the scenario has nothing to do with them. They addressed the problem as the "vampires situation," not understanding that soon after the powerful vampire took all the vampires under his wings, he started battling the wolves, then the witches, and leaving the humans for last.
The powerful vampire wishes to make vampires the dominant force in the world; he believes that because vampires are the strongest, they must lead the other creatures. Of course, the wolves fought back, banding up with other packs to resist, and the Stoll and Hayes pack, Harriet's husband's pack, gave the vampires the greatest trouble. These two packs are like the moon goddess' darlings; they are faster, stronger, and larger than the others. The struggle harmed both vampires and wolves.
As a result, the Stoll and Hayes families decided to build their own kingdom using the human method, resulting in the formation of two wolf kingdoms (the deepfang kingdom and the bloodlust howlers kingdom). They hired witches to cast a spell on their walls to keep them hidden from the vampires. The witches are more closely related to the wolf than the vampires, as the vampires are also hunting them.
The packs that elected to join forces with the Stoll family during the battle against the vampires formed the bloodlust howlers kingdom, while those who joined forces with the Hayes family formed the deepfang kingdom. Because of the Hayes and Stoll's superior power and ability, they dominate the kingdom, while the Alphas of the other packs are chosen as pack elders. Two thousand years have passed since the great battle, and the vampires and wolves are still fighting small-scale wars.
The Bloodlust Howlers Kingdom and the Deepfang Kingdom have an alliance, but they both know that the reason the alliance is still standing is due to the threat of vampires, and they know that their alliance is like making an alliance on a thin sheet of paper because the two kingdoms are looking for a way to swallow each other.
From the recollections, Harriet discovered that approximately 25 years ago, Alistair's father (the former alpha) suffered a serious injury during a battle with vampires and believed he was going to die. However, the deceased Harriet's grandfather saved him, and that year also happened to be the year that the former Harriet was born. When Alistair's father regained consciousness, he realized that a human had saved him, and he was thankful because it is uncommon for a human to come in close proximity to a wolf, alive or dead, let alone save one.
He was so grateful that he and Harriet's grandfather instantly became friends. When Alistair's father met the young Harriet, he thought she was quite attractive and promised that if his son (Alistair, who was five years old at the time) did not find a spouse by the time he was twenty-eight, he would marry the former Harriet. Then the Alistair father died exactly when Alistair was twenty-eight years old; he died because he was seriously injured while fighting with the vampires, and on his deathbed, he urged Alistair to marry the former Harriet.
He asked Alistair to marry the former Harriet, that he had made a promise to his long-lost friend, and that since Alistair had not found his mate, Alistair should fulfill that little wish of his before his death. Since Alistair was already disappointed that he had not found his mate, and ten years had passed since he came of age, and everyone that grew up with him had already found theirs, even his beta/best friend had already found his mate, he gave up and decided to marry the person his father wanted.
The former declined to marry Alistair at first because she had heard several rumors about how ugly wolves are, and the former Harriet refused to marry a wild and ugly beast, but she changed her mind after seeing him. She got proud that she would marry such a majestic man rather than some ugly beast, and she went around bragging to her friends about her soon-to-be husband and how lovely and nice he is. Harriet couldn't understand where the former Harriet got her perception of Alistair's gentleness, because the man she saw did not appear to be gentle.
After Alistair and the former Harriet were married, the former Harriet became extremely arrogant toward everyone, including Alistair's mother, Grand Luna, when she arrived at the palace. Her attitude is similar to that of people who believe they have achieved success and that no one will stop them from doing anything they want. As a result of her negative attitude, she began abusing her position and treating everyone badly; Alistair doesn't even visit her bedroom and prefers to be by himself.
She began having tantrums and feeling as though her husband was not paying her enough attention. Her situation worsened when she discovered that one of the elders' daughters, Scarlett West, had a crush on Alistair and was plotting against her. If she had been a brilliant and skilled schemer, everything would have been alright, but she wasn't.
The former Harriet's brain is weak, and she lacks the skills necessary to be a schemer. Scarlett West used everything against her and pretended to be the victim in order to readily disclose all of her brilliant tactics. And whenever Scarlett uses the improved version of her plan against her, the old Harriet doesn't learn her lesson and is already planning another grand, foolish plan until she becomes the palace's troublemaker. Previously, whenever Alistair saw her, he still made an effort to talk to her, but he began to ignore her due to her lack of intelligence.
When she realized things had gone south and regained consciousness, it was too late. The royal maid she had previously abused has begun bullying her at Scarlett's instruction; they are even glad to do it, knowing that no one will come to the former Harriet's rescue because she has managed to offend everyone. The former Harriet, thinking she couldn't take it longer, decided to escape from the palace, and when she got outside, she was attacked.
All she felt was a blow to her head, and she couldn't see the person who hit her clearly before passing out. "What a stupid woman, so that's how she died." Harriet grumbled to herself, "Well, don't worry, I'm going to avenge you; you can go to heaven peacefully now since I've taken over this body now.".
