Ethan's eyes scanned the room, his mind racing with possibilities. Where had The Syndicate taken Marcus? And why?
Rachel's voice was low and urgent. "We need to find Marcus," she said. "Before it's too late."
Ethan nodded, his eyes locked onto the note. There was a small symbol in the corner, a symbol that looked familiar.
"Rachel, look at this," he said, pointing to the symbol.
Rachel's eyes widened. "That's The Syndicate's mark," she said. "They're taunting us."
Ethan's jaw clenched. "We'll find Marcus," he promised. "And we'll take down The Syndicate."
But as they searched the city, Ethan couldn't shake the feeling that they were running out of time. The Syndicate had the upper hand, and they knew it.
Just as they were about to give up, Ethan's phone buzzed with an incoming message.
"Meet me at the old clock tower at midnight," the message read. "Come alone."
Ethan's heart skipped a beat. Who was sending him these messages? And what did they want?
