Ethan's eyes scanned the room, his mind racing with the possibility that The Syndicate had a mole within EREBUS.
Sarah walked in, a look of concern on her face. "Ethan, I've been going over the security footage, and I think I've found something suspicious."
Ethan's head snapped up. "What is it?"
Sarah hesitated before speaking. "It looks like one of our own team members has been accessing classified information without clearance."
Ethan's eyes narrowed. "Who is it?"
Sarah's voice was barely above a whisper. "It's Alex."
Ethan's mind was reeling. Alex was one of their most trusted team members. He had been with EREBUS since the beginning.
But as Ethan thought back, he realized that Alex had been acting strange lately. He had been distant and secretive, and Ethan had written it off as stress.
Now, he wasn't so sure.
