Leo took the Rune and applied it to his rune slot, feeling its mystical energy enveloping him like a warm blanket.
Once they left the building, he ran towards a dark alley near the Associations building.
To conserve stamina, he partially manifested his spirit sword to use its abilities.

He could feel a weight he never knew existed, getting lifted from his shoulders.
The sudden lack of anything holding him down allowed him to reach speeds similar to a car's.
Gloppy Ran was not left far behind, once their attributes synced he ran just as fast.
Behind them were two armies, one led by the Slime King consisting of different kinds of slimes, bouncing after their general.
While the other was led by Leo and consisted of a swarm of hellbats flying after them. In total 60 summons rushed through the busy streets of the city, causing quite a ruckus.
Leo stopped by an abandoned construction site, using [Mind Archive] to pinpoint the exact location.
Crack crack
They descended into the basement of the site. Now I am able to see a blue portal cracking around the entirety of the space.
The wind that it brought was way stronger than the previous one they conquered. However neither of them was worried, it was blue meaning that it wouldn't be nearly as difficult, and they were way stronger than before.
Both of them nodded at each other before they entered.
[Entering The White Sea]
On the other side, a mesmerizing sight. Instead of the creepy dungeon that Leo had expected from the book, they were now in the middle of the sea.
'Now I'm glad I didn't write their names on the piece of paper, but that was to be expected after the Hydra gate information.'
CRACK! crack crack
Behind them, the gate began to shrink rapidly. By the time they realized it was way too late, neither of them would fit through it anymore.
"Gloppy!"
"Already on it!"
The careless expression turned dead serious as he commanded a slime to run through it while also setting up a perimeter around them with the rest.
"To think we got a scenario gate so fast, we are very unlucky."
Gloppy said, surprising Leo that he knows about that.
"You know how gates work?"
He was so shocked that he almost dropped his staff.
"I think you forgot that I also have access to your attributes. This includes your skills."
Not in a million years would he figure it out. But it would explain how Gloppy had access to that information.
They would love to continue talking but a sudden loud sound took their attention.
Pheeeew.... SPLASH!
A cannonball hit the beach close to them, covering the entirety of the small island in water.
"This was a warning shot, if you don't surrender, we won't miss the next one."
The source of the projectile and this voice? An enormous galleon, almost 5 stories tall, sailed in front of them. Multiple rows of cannons were pointed toward their direction, and because of the small size of the island they were on, they couldn't escape.
"What's the plan?"
"Recall everything and surrender."
Not one summon was left around them, as they were left by themselves. Once the person who called them made sure they were defenseless, he ordered a rowboat to approach the duo.
A scrawny man in white clothing steered it, reaching them in no time. Gloppy didn't want to grab more unnecessary attention from them, using his slime anatomy, he changed the skin color to resemble that of a human.
"P-please put them on..."
He took out two pairs of handcuffs and threw them under their feet, making sure that they put them on without trying anything.
"Done."
To prove that they didn't tamper with them, they both put all their strength into trying to split them apart, to no avail.
Their captor nodded and sailed back towards the galleon. Inside, they brought him to the captain of the ship. She wore a long red suit with golden buttons. Her hair was neatly tied on her head and a flintlock in both hands.
"Are you two troublemakers the ones breaking the law around here?"
She put one of the flintlocks against Leo's face, an angry expression on her face.
"No ma'am, we didn't cross on the red lights."
Leo answered, remembering that this was the reason he got put in jail the last time.
'Maybe there is an easy way to get out of here after all...'
BAM!
Metal bars closed shut in front of them as they were placed in a cell on the ship. Gloppy looked at his master with a serious look on his face.
"I think this might be a bit harder after all, the laws of our world don't apply here."
There was nothing to do but wait until they reached their destination, after all, neither of them was planning to jump into water and swim on their own.
"Hey, guard!"
The summoner called for one of the men in front of their cell.
"Shut up, who allowed you to speak."
'A feisty one, huh?'
"Where are we being taken?"
"To the Navy headquarters, you will be put in maximum security prison."
Maximum security prison... Navy headquarters... Sea level...
With all of this information, Leo was able to find out where exactly are they with the use of information from the book.
'The 15th floor! But how are we here so early?'
|Could it be related to the Hydra gate also appearing?|
'Most likely.'
All they could do now was wait patiently until they reached the HQ.

"One two three four. One two three four...."
Multiple voices of marines training bustled outside as they approached the port. A dozen more guards got into the room and escorted the two of them out.
The prison to which they were being taken didn't resemble anything he had expected, it was a big black box with no windows or anything else.
"Is that a prison?"
Leo remarked out loud, closing his eyes a tiny bit to see it better. However there were no more features to it, it was just a black box.
While being escorted he and Gloppy also looked around, marveling at the weird way this place functioned.
Right next to executioners' grounds was a garden, with bones of the dead being actively ground for fertilizer.
"Master, look this way"
The Slime King grabbed his attention in the other direction, but Leo didn't see anything of note.
"What are you talking about?"
"Don't you see? The golden glow in the sea?"
He was looking at the same place as the slime but saw nothing. They couldn't investigate further as they reached the black box.
"You scum of the earth, I hope I will never have to see you again."
With a powerful kick, the captain of the ship sent them flying into the depths of the black box.
