I sat in my dark, damp cave,my mind consumed by thoughts of revenge. Elijah humiliated me,defeating me in front of my own pack. I couldn't let that stand. I began formulating a plan,my mind racing with ideas.I would gather my most loyal followers and launch a surprise attack on Elijah's pack again. We would catch them off guard and i would finally get my revenge. I set out to gather my allies, meeting with other pack leaders who shared my desire for revenge. We formed a loose alliance, united by our hatred of Elijah and his pack.
We spent weeks planning our attacks, studying Elijah's pack and looking for weaknesses. We know that they were strong, but we also knew that they had a weakness, their alpha's family. I decided to target Elijah's family again,to hurt him where it would hurt the most.I would take his son's mate and grandchild, and use them as leverage to get to him. The thought of revenge was sweet and i could almost taste it. I would finally get my revenge and Elijah would pay for what he had done to me. I remembered the day Elijah defeated me,the day he humiliated me in front of my own pack. I had challenged him, thinking that i was the stronger alpha, but he had proven me wrong. He had beaten me,and then he had spared my life, leaving me to live with the shame of defeat. After that day,my pack's respect for me began to wane. They saw me as a weak leader,a leader who couldn't even protect himself.I tried to regain their respect, but it was too late. They had already lost faith in me. But it wasn't just about my pack's respect. It was about my own personal pride. I had always thought of myself as a strong and powerful alpha, and Elijah's defeat of me had shattered that image. I felt like I had been emasculated, like I had been proved to be less than i thought i was. And there was the desire for dominance. I had always wanted to be the top alpha, the one who ruled over all the others. Elijah's defeat of me had thwarted that desire and now i was more determined than ever to achieve it. Revenge was my way of redeeming myself,of proving to myself and to others that I was still a force to be reckoned with. It was my way of restoring my pride and my reputation of showing Elijah and the rest of the world that I wouldn't be defeated easily.
I thought about my pack's future, and how my desire for revenge would affect them. I kneq that if i succeeded in defeating Elijah,my pack would be elevated to a position of power and respect. We would be the dominant pack, and others would look up to us. But at what cost?I thought about the bloodshed, the violence and the destruction that would come with seeking revenge. I thought about the innocent lives that would be lost, the families that would be torn apart. I asked myself if it was all worth it. Was my desire for revenge and dominance worth the risk of harming my own pack and others?I didn't know. All i knew was that i couldn't shake off the feeling of anger and humiliation that Elijah's defeat had left me with. Just as I was lost in my thoughts,I heard a voice behind me.
"Victor is this really what you want?"It was my beta,Rachel. She had always been loyal to me,but i could sense a hint of doubt in her voice. I turned to her,my eyes narrowing."What do you mean?"I asked,my tone sharp. Rachel took a step forward, her eyes locked on mine."Do you really want revenge,Victor? Or are you just trying to prove something to yourself?" Her words struck a chord in me,and for a moment I was taken aback. I felt a surge of anger at Rachel's question, but I tried to keep my emotions in check. "What are you talking about,Rachel?" I asked, trying to sound calm."Of course,I want revenge. Elijah humiliated me and i need to show him that I won't be defeated easily". Rachel took another step forward, her eyes filled with concern. "Victor,I understand why you're angry, but revenge isn't the answer. It's not going to solve anything, and its only going to lead to more bloodshed and violence. Is that really what you want?".I paused, reflecting on Rachel's words. She was right,of course. Revenge wasn't the answer. But i had been so consumed by anger and humiliation that i hadn't stopped to think about the consequences. Rachel's words gave me a different perspective, and for the first time,I started to question my desire for revenge. Was it really worth it? Was it worth risking the lives of my pack members and causing more harm to others? I looked at Rachel, and i saw concern and loyalty in her eyes. She was trying to help me,to make me see sense. And in that moment,I realized that I had been blind to the damage my desire for revenge was causing. I took a deep breath, feeling a weight lift off my shoulders.
"You are right,Rachel ",I said my voice filled with a new found sense of charity. "Revenge isn't the answer. I've been blinded by my anger and humiliation that I haven't thought about the consequences".Rachel's face lit up with relief and she smiled."But Rachel,I'm already too deep into this revenge and there's no way I'm backing out now. So if you think you are going to be an obstacle between me and my revenge,I'll make sure to strike you down without a thought and remember,I am your ALPHA,so you obey my words. I left her standing there with her eyes wide open.
