Chapter 4 - Ch 4: No Title.

"Honey! Vik! Where are you two?! We're going to be late!"

"Where is my suit? Where. Is. My. Suit?!"

"Just a second mom!"

Yelena sighed as she looked at the clock. There were only 15 minutes left before the party starts. Her Husband had a habit of losing clothes at the exact moment thus every event that they attended… they were late. Whilst her son on the other hand… followed in his father's footsteps.

She went up the stairs as she helped her husband find his clothes. Dmitri was checking the closet when it was literally in front of him, hanging on the wall.

"Are you an idiot?! You've wasted 15 minutes finding that suit when it's literally in front of you!"

"Oops…"

"Don't you 'oops' me mister. *Sigh* It's really a good thing we have a car now or else we'd be late an extra 30 minutes!"

Yelena glared at her husband who merely deflated and uttered, "I love you though?"

"Hmph!"

'These two love birds… I swear to god I'm crashing out if they have sex here at this kind of time.'

Viktor thought as he clenched his fists in annoyance. There was already 10 minutes left and the whole house was eerily silent.

'This exact situation had happened so many times already! I'm sick of it. It's like they argue once and then bam instant sex. Are these two that frustrated? Good lord. I'm leaving for now.'

Viktor's eyebrow twitched in annoyance as he silently jumped out of the open window onto the streets before jumping onto the roof silently leaving a blur. He took a deep breath as he started dashing towards the location of the reunion however-

"…Someone actually sensed my presence?? Where?"

His eyes darted towards an alley way as he again left a blur. With his enhanced vision, he could clearly see that it wasn't a person that sensed him but-

"…A bloody rat? Seriously?" He grabbed the injured rat instantly before crushing it.

He furrowed his brows as he looked at his bloody hand, 'So this was the 'person' I sensed when I was dashing a few days ago. Seems like I must keep my presence invisible 24/7 for now.'

Viktor then looked at the sky that was darkening, 'Night is here too, I don't think I'm agile enough to move in the air to take down the bats if they're powered by those Vampires keeping tabs on me.'

Viktor still wasn't sure if there was someone else prying on him as his senses can only reach so far thus, he automatically assumed that it was the vampires due to the kidnapping incident.

'It's either Aries Chaldea that's observing me, those vampires, or a third party… all of which are bad news. I'm confident enough to escape from Aries since I can just remove my presence, but the others will pose quite a challenge.'

He scoffed, 'Tsk, I'm certain I can beat one of the vampires and escape but If I do… I might alter the timeline of this world a little bit and that's not something I would want to deal with right now.'

Viktor knew the dangers of altering the Timeline. He wasn't afraid of doing it at all. After all, if he meets with the Arata Kasuga, the Main Character of Trinity Seven, he'll be fine later on. He just needs to be a bit more stronger to survive the plot with them.

'…That fat orb. It's been 8 years, and I still need to find out if this world reverts back to its original plot point. After all, nothing major was tampered with yet.' Viktor thought, his eyebrow twitching in annoyance as he disappeared from his neighbor's houses' rooftop, nearing his destination.

'…That pathetic rat died? I know that he's close to death but to die so soon?'

Fredrick turned his head to the left, the direction of his familiar which had been killed too soon, ignoring the two bodies of children hanging on the walls of the alleyway, dripping in blood.

'…Has the Three Great Magus Academies noticed us already?'

The Three Great Magus Academies are the three known and best schools of Magic in the world where the Magus enrolled are tasked to study Magic to solve Breakdown Phenomenon's or Dangerous Magic related problems that poses a significant threat to all of Humanity. The Three Great Magus Academies are each managed by a Paladin class Mage, a mage who is near the pinnacle of the known magic and has the strength to destroy the world if they wanted to.

'Is it one of their hounds? No… we haven't made enough noise here for them to notice.'

'Then… one of the Headmaster's of those wretched Schools? No… very unlikely… if they're here, they would've killed us outright.' Fredrick thought critically as he drained the blood of a child whose eyes had already gone blank and her body was pale.

'The nearest known Magus Academy is over two countries away and the Teleporter is a country away… so then who is it?'

As Fredrick dropped the body of the lifeless child, he smeared off the blood on his mouth with his right thumb before opening his left hand to conjure a rune of sorts… he snapped his fingers and a number of bats appeared around his area.

"Scour the area where the rat died then report back to me if you see anything suspicious."

He tapped on his foot once and then a rune once appeared but on his ear now, "Sergei, I think an associate of one of the Academies are onto us. It's best if you lie low for now."

"You imbecile! Are you using your brain?! You're the one here that keeps eating children and doing the killings whilst I have been scouring this wretched place for the treasure." The angry voice of Sergei replied as Fredrick merely sneered in contempt at what he said.

"Hmph! Don't you dare talk to me like that you hypocrite, you're the one who killed a lot on the first day we arrived here."

"You moron."

"What's this? Didn't I tell you two to be careful of using magic else we'd be detected?"

"Vivian! You as well! What had you done in the past few days?! What? Merely killing those children and not giving assistan-"

"Silence! I don't want to hear anymore of your inadequacies! Have you found the location of the treasure? It has already been a few days since you've previously reported. Perhaps… you have forgotten our deal?"

"Hmph! If it wasn't for that treasure… You would be dead."

"KekEkeEk" Fredrick's anger subsided as he laughed maniacally, finding the interaction of Vivian and Sergei idiotic.

Vivian and Sergei was… lifetime companions for Fredrick. Even though the two are haughty prideful morons, they were companions. They grew up together and eventually lost their ways however the three had something in common. They wanted to be immortal. To continue the pursuit of their Respective Archives and possibly reach the pinnacle of it… The Last Crest. The Last Crest was the ultimate spell of an Archive, developed by the founder of said Archive, said to possess immense power rivalling that of the Gods with a drawback.

Fredrick knew that their path was inherently flawed due to the Nature of the Last Crest where it can ONLY be learned by a member of the Trinity Seven. The Seven Female Mages along the Demon Lord who will plunge the world into chaos and its end.

He knew it was impossible to Achieve the Last Crest as it was obvious that they are would not be the Trinity Seven or even associate to one of them but isn't that what Magic is all about? The pursuit of something inherently flawed which all would question yet results into greater power.

Whilst he became a corrupted version of himself, turning into a vampire and committing sins that one should not do, he was still a Magus at heart.

'…Too boring.' XXX thought as she looked below the balcony, it was their Grandparent's Class Reunion and the amount of people entering the mansion was increasing bit by bit. She had already memorized the faces and knew of their names for fun. However, she still hasn't spotted their Grandparent's friend.

'7- and 8-year-olds huh…'

Some had even brought their children which XXX found tiring?

'…Oji-sama and Oba-sama would definitely tell us to play with them later on.'

She sighed, she and her sister were geniuses in math and physics and their Grandparents know this fact. Their Grandparents actively supported them in this field however this didn't stop the occasional rambling about enjoying their time being a child.

XXX was grateful that their Grandparents cared about them in this regard but at the same time felt helpless since she and ### had no interest in such things anymore. Solving and Studying Mathematics and its branches proved to be more interesting for her.

'Huh? …That feeling is active more than ever today?'

XXX was a bit confused as for the past few months this feeling that she could 'calculate/analyze' everything in the world was minimal to a level. But this degree of that feeling surprised her a little.

'…Is it because of those bats? The amount roaming around at this is unusual.' She noted as she looked at the town from the balcony of the mansion,

'That flight pattern is abnormal for bats living in this town, it's as if the bats are searching for something… is something going on?'

XXX then turned to look at her little sister, ### who was eating a chocolate cupcake.

"Siphs! Ipf omething wong? *gulp* Is it with your cupcake? I have more here if you'd want.

XXX then turned to look at her little sister, XXX smile at her little sister, ###, who was eating a chocolate cupcake whilst struggling to reach the Strawberry cupcake on the table.

"Nope however I find this place boring as Oba-sama's friend hasn't arrived yet. Don't you think so ###? …So, let's hide in this library and search for books!" XXX went to the table as she helped ### get her cupcake before grabbing one for herself and started walking down the door of the balcony.

"Haaa?! We've already done that on a previous trip nee-san! Why again now?"

"Hehe, you coming or not?"

"Sis is really… alright!"

"Umu!" XXX smiled as she walked down the stairs. She held onto the the grand staircase of the mansion that spiraled downward in elegant, sweeping curves, its mahogany banister polished to a gleaming shine. The thick, red carpet runner muffled the sound of her footsteps. Above, a crystal chandelier hung like a crown, casting shimmering light across the high ceiling and scattering fragments of brilliance along the walls.

As XXX arrived down, time seemed to slow down to a standstill. Her brain and eyes was processing so much information that her perception of time was altered greatly,

'…Huh? A person?'

Her eyes being enhanced by this random event, widened as she saw the figure of this person… it was the Son of her Grandparents' Friend. Viktor Maximoff.
