Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Palmistry

To the ordinary person, the concept of spirits and ghosts is but a ridiculous notion, especially when it involves someone like Sun Huadong.

"Mr. Sun, has the pain in your waist shown any improvement?" Qin Fei asked with a smile.

Sun Huadong furrowed his brows and shook his head. "No, I've taken countless medications, but nothing works. This has nothing to do with ghosts or spirits."

"Mr. Qin, there's no need to elaborate. I have other matters to attend to, so I shall take my leave," Sun Huadong huffed, his eyes brimming with dissatisfaction.

Just then, Old Master Li suddenly chuckled. "Huadong, don't rush off. Why not listen to what Mr. Qin has to say?"

"Grandfather, you've never believed in such things," Li Hang remarked, frowning.

Old Master Li smiled lightly. "In a world where dragons exist, what is there left to doubt? For the unknown, we must learn to hold respect."

Since Old Master Li had spoken, Sun Huadong begrudgingly stayed.

Qin Fei smiled. "Thank you, Old Master Li."

"Dean, could you perhaps find an empty room for me?" Qin Fei turned to the Dean with a request.

The Dean, feeling honored, immediately replied, "Mr. Qin, my office is vacant. Allow me to show you the way!"

At this moment, Su Yu briskly approached. She pulled Qin Fei aside, her displeasure evident. "Enough of this! Are you addicted to pretending now? What if something happens later, who will take responsibility?"

Qin Fei gently patted Su Yu's hand and smiled. "Don't worry, nothing will happen."

He even winked at her as he spoke.

Thus, Qin Fei, along with Sun Huadong and the others, arrived at the Dean's office.

"Dean, are there any valuables in this room? I suggest you move them, as I might cause some unintended damage later," Qin Fei said politely.

The Dean hurriedly waved his hand. "Nothing of value here, Mr. Qin. Feel free to do as you wish. If anything gets damaged, it's on me."

Seeing this, Qin Fei said no more.

He signaled for Old Master Li and the others to step outside, and then had Sun Huadong lie on the desk.

On Sun Huadong's waist, there were tiny black dots situated precisely on the points of the Spleen, Kidney, and Lower Back meridians, blocking them completely.

Additionally, his nose bore tiny specks on his facial regions, namely the Life Palace, Official Palace, Wealth Palace, and the Disease Palace. This kind of facial pattern was ominous, not directly threatening his lifespan, but would surely cause a decline in fortune over time.

"Supreme decree, free your restless soul, banish all spirits and shadows, bless the four lives," Qin Fei chanted softly, placing his palm on Sun Huadong's waist.

Sun Huadong couldn't help but sneer inwardly. He thought to himself, "If you don't chant, it's fine, but once you do, you sound just like a roadside quack."

Yet, just as he thought this, he began to feel a warmth spreading across his waist, as if a gentle woman were massaging him.

"Whoosh…"

Suddenly, a gust of wind howled within the closed room. The money tree in the corner was tossed about, leaves falling in every direction.

From outside, it appeared as though there was a violent struggle happening inside.

Su Yu gritted her teeth and reached for the door handle, but Old Master Li stopped her, smiling. "Miss Su, I hope you don't do anything rash."

"Rash? It's Qin Fei who's causing the trouble!" Su Yu's face grew increasingly grim.

She muttered under her breath, "I shouldn't have brought her here."

Old Master Li, observing the scene, felt some dissatisfaction. To him, Qin Fei was not only remarkably skilled but also humble and courteous, always coming to Su Yu's aid. On the other hand, Su Yu didn't appreciate his kindness and was incredibly distrustful. This was hardly the behavior of a wife.

"If I ever get the chance, I'll try to match Qin Fei with Shi Lan," Old Master Li mused silently.

Inside the room, Sun Huadong, now pale with fear, struggled desperately on the desk.

"Don't move," Qin Fei glanced at him and then looked upwards.

From Sun Huadong's body, a dark mist began to drift out, rushing towards the window in an attempt to escape.

Qin Fei snorted lightly, his palm pressing down as if capturing the mist in an invisible net, sealing it back inside Sun Huadong's body.

The room fell silent, as if nothing had happened.

Qin Fei looked down at Sun Huadong's waist, and the black dots had disappeared.

At that very moment, a translucent red pimple appeared on the tip of Sun Huadong's nose, directly on the Wealth Palace.

Sun Huadong scrambled to get up from the desk, rubbing his waist in astonishment. "It... it doesn't hurt anymore?"

Qin Fei smiled. "Mr. Sun, take better care of your personal conduct from now on. It's best not to cause any unnecessary trouble."

Upon hearing this, Sun Huadong's face instantly paled.

Not long ago, his mistress had just had an abortion, and upon reflection, his misfortune had begun on that very day.

"Mr. Qin, thank you for saving me!" Sun Huadong immediately kneeled down, his previous arrogance gone, replaced only by shock and deep gratitude.

Qin Fei quickly helped him up, saying, "You don't need to thank me. It was nothing."

At that moment, the door was suddenly flung open by Su Yu, who was about to scold him but was taken aback by the absurd scene in front of her.

Old Master Li, seeing this, chuckled and stroked his beard. "Haha, Huadong, you're not really shortening Mr. Qin's lifespan, are you?"

Shortening his lifespan?

Qin Fei couldn't help but let out a bitter laugh.

Having lived for tens of thousands of years, the concept of a shortened lifespan was utterly meaningless to him.

"Mr. Qin, here's two million in this card. Please accept it," Sun Huadong shakily handed him a bank card.

Qin Fei pushed the card back. "No need, you're going through a tough time right now. Save it for yourself. When your business flourishes, just send me a fine tea as a gift."

Sun Huadong was overcome with gratitude, unable to express his feelings properly.

He finally nodded vigorously. "I'll definitely do that!"

"Mr. Qin, about our business..." Li Hang cautiously asked.

Li Hang was in charge of this business deal, and if something went wrong, his position in the Li family would certainly suffer.

Qin Fei pointed at the red pimple on Sun Huadong's nose and said, "His Wealth Palace is full, and his nose is turning red. Your business will surely be smooth sailing and successful."

"Thank you, Mr. Qin," Li Hang said, bowing slightly.

"Mr. Qin, if you're free tonight, would you consider dining with my Li family? My granddaughter has been talking about you non-stop," Old Master Li suddenly spoke up.

"Old Master Li, I'm sorry, but we've already made plans with someone else tonight," Qin Fei didn't even have the chance to speak before Su Yu stepped forward hastily.

Old Master Li glanced at her, nodded, and smiled. "Very well, we'll arrange it for another day."

With that, Old Master Li took out another bank card and handed it to Qin Fei. "Mr. Qin, you saved my life. Please accept this money."

Qin Fei was left with no choice but to reluctantly accept the card.

"Just keep this card with you, and in Jiangcheng, most malls, restaurants, and hotels will treat you as their most distinguished guest," Li Hang explained.

"Thank you, Old Master Li," Qin Fei said as he accepted the card.

After work, Qin Fei waited for Su Yu in the car.

Once she came out, she shot him an annoyed look and said, "Stop showing off in the future, alright? The Li family isn't someone to mess with. They might laugh with you today, but tomorrow, they could turn their backs on you!"

"I think the Li family is quite nice," Qin Fei replied deliberately, leaning his face close to hers with a teasing smile. "Could it be that you're jealous? Afraid I might run off with the Li family's young lady?"

The warm breath from his words brushed against her face, making her cheeks flush and her heart race.

"Stop talking nonsense!" Su Yu quickly turned her face away, embarrassed.

"Then why won't you let me visit the Li family?" Qin Fei asked with a sly smile.

Su Yu huffed. "Don't get too full of yourself. We're having a class reunion tonight, and if anyone's married, they're supposed to bring their spouse. Otherwise, it's none of your business where you go."

With that, she snapped, "Drive!"

She had meant to ask Qin Fei where he had learned all these "strange ways," but seeing his smug expression, she held her tongue.

As the car sped along the road, Su Yu couldn't help but glance at Qin Fei's profile. For some reason, she felt that Qin Fei was different, almost as though he had become a completely new person.

"Creak!"

The car suddenly screeched to a halt near a riverbank, and Su Yu lurched forward, almost falling out of the car. Her phone flew out of her hand.

"What are you doing?!" Su Yu glared at Qin Fei, her face filled with fury.

Qin Fei remained silent, his gaze fixed ahead, his eyes chilling with intent.

Before them stood seven or eight burly men, with a BMW parked beside them.

It was none other than He Yong's car.
