In the video—
[Ash's Charizard immediately chose to challenge a very large and imposing Charizard.]
[However, this powerful opponent effortlessly absorbed Charizard's full-strength Flamethrower and defeated him in a single move.]
Palace Gate Stadium Audience—
"This Charizard is so strong…"
"It's at least a whole size bigger than Ash's Charizard."
"Compared to this Charizard, Ash's Charizard looks like a baby chick."
"The Charizards here are all so well-developed!"
The audience couldn't help but marvel at the scene.
Although not as strong as Mr. Leon's Charizard, as a wild Pokémon, this Charizard was already exceptionally powerful. Few could rival it.
The video continued—
[Challenging the strongest Charizard right away was clearly too difficult for Ash's Charizard.]
[Seeing this, Liza helped Ash find a gentler Charizard for practice.]
[But unexpectedly...]
[Even this "gentle" Charizard proved to be a tough opponent.]
[After being attacked by Ash's Charizard, it retaliated with Smelling Salts, followed by a burst of green light from its tail.]
[It delivered a powerful Dragon Tail attack.]
[The blow bent Ash's Charizard into a "prawn shape."]
[Though Charizard stood up again with determination, it couldn't avoid the relentless barrage of attacks from its opponent.]
[Meanwhile, Liza's partner Charizard, Charla, also attempted to intervene but was thrown out of the valley and into a river.]
[Defeat after defeat left Ash's Charizard disheartened.]
[Sitting in the river, Charizard appeared lost, unable to distinguish whether the water in its eyes was from the river or its own tears...]
Audience Seats—
"This is so sad…"
"I didn't expect Charizard to lose so completely."
"This must be a huge blow to both Ash and Charizard."
"This really shows that there's always someone stronger out there."
The audience couldn't help but feel sympathy for Ash and his Charizard.
Team Rocket Headquarters, Kanto Region—
"Hahahaha! I told you that brat got cocky too soon. Now he sees the gap between himself and the world!" Proton laughed smugly.
"The frog in the well has finally seen how vast the sky is. That deformed Charizard is too weak. If Ash wants a strong Pokémon, he should abandon this one and pick a better one from Charizard Valley," Ariana added gleefully.
Ash's Charizard...
During its Charmander days, it nearly died from a severe illness.
Even after recovering, its talent and potential were greatly diminished.
Furthermore, due to Aerodactyl's taunting, it evolved prematurely, squandering its potential.
These setbacks left Charizard stunted, even physically smaller than average.
Such an underdeveloped Charizard could never hope to become the strongest in the world.
Veilstone City, Sinnoh Region—
"Is this all it's capable of?" Paul remarked coldly.
To him, Charizard's performance was far below expectations.
It could handle low-tier battles because of its naturally high base stats as a species, but in high-level matches?
Charizard stood no chance.
"Even a strong Gym Leader could crush it, let alone an elite or champion trainer," Paul muttered dismissively.
Champion Seats, Palace Gate Stadium—
"This was a harsh defeat, but… it was inevitable," Steven said calmly.
Those familiar with Charizard Valley, like Steven, already anticipated the outcome.
Charizard Valley, the sacred ground for Charizards in the Johto Region, was home to the strongest of their kind.
The wild Charizards there were tall, muscular, and had grown strong through constant competition.
Ash's Charizard, by comparison, was like a malnourished premature baby.
"How could it possibly compete with these well-developed Charizards?" Steven mused.
"Now the question is, what will Ash and Charizard do next? Will they recognize their weaknesses and give up, or..."
Steven trailed off, his expression unreadable.
Kanto Region—
"Hahaha! I knew I made the right decision back then," said Damian, Charmander's original trainer, with a smug expression.
"Yes, Damian, you were right to abandon it. A malnourished and defective Charizard isn't worth training," one of his lackeys chimed in.
When Damian first saw Ash's Charizard defeating opponents like Crimson Gym's Charmeleon, Poliwrath in the Orange Islands, and Falkner's Pidgeot, he had regretted abandoning Charmander.
But now, seeing Ash's Charizard struggling against the world's stronger Pokémon, Damian felt vindicated.
"This idiot Ash wasted all his time and effort training such a useless Charizard. He must regret it now!" Damian sneered.
Cinnabar Island, Kanto Region—
Ash's Charizard watched the scene of its defeat unfold on the screen. Its pride and strong self-esteem made it difficult to accept.
It never imagined that it was merely a frog in the well, unaware of the vastness of the world.
As memories of being abandoned resurfaced, tears began to flow.
For the first time, Charizard felt utterly powerless.
"I'm... too weak," it muttered as it cried, mirroring the tears of its on-screen self.
