It was the day of the Annual Duels, and Raphael couldn't help but be filled with excitement.
Every year, according to the history of the five schools, how the duels take place changes every year. This year, Raphael was yet to figure out how they were supposed to happen, or who else would even be representing the Schools.
All he had been told, was that after his duel with Elliot, he was nominated to participate.
With these battles taking place, many opportunities arise.
Just as he left his dorm to head towards the Gardens, where the students would be gathering, he spotted someone exiting their dorms at the same time.
It was Damien.
Ever since Raphael had been spotted fondling his girlfriend's breasts, he had yet to speak to the man again. Little did he know, that was not all Raphael had done with Celeste.
They had met many other times since.
As Damien spotted Raphael, he flashed him a dirty look.
"Good luck at the duels today, you're going to need it." The cuck teased as he made his way down the dormitory halls. "If you think you're gonna get lucky like you did against Elliot and Leofric again, then you've got another thing coming."
Raphael let out a chuckle at the man's pathetic antics.
To call it luck, when they were hardly close fights.
Raphael was going to ignore Damien, but he felt like teasing him a little bit.
"Thanks." He said in a cheerful tone. "And good luck in your relationship with Celeste."
He watched as the man clenched his fists, clearly angered at the remark. But Raphael simply walked past him.
Where is she anyway? Have they officially broken up now?
---
The School Gardens were packed with thousands of students, all sectioned into five colour-coordinated groups.
At the top of the hill where the duels would take place, were the five queens of the schools.
On one area was the Rose School, all wearing their glorious red uniform. Harmony stood atop the hill, representing her students.
Then was the Crown School, wearing the yellow colours of a golden crown. On the hill representing her students was a woman Raphael had seen before, during his battle with Elliot. She was just as beautiful as Harmony.
Then was the Phoenix School, all wearing black. At their head was a Queen who was supposedly Leofric's mother, which made him the prince. Raphael couldn't help but stare. The woman was absolutely stunning.
The last two schools were the ones he had yet to familiarise himself with. The Sword School, who wore blue. And the Cloud School, who wore White.
Both had Queens as beautiful as all the others, but Raphael had no time to admire them, as a new figure made their way up the hill to stand with the Five Queens.
He seemed to be just a regular guy, the mediator for the battle. As he spoke, the entire crowd of students went silent, and his voice could be heard throughout the entire gardens.
"Welcome, Students of the five schools! I'm happy to announce that the Annual Duels are about to commence!"
The sound of applause erupted, and the man waited for it to die down before continuing.
"Now then, the rules this year are simple. The Five Queens have spoken amongst themselves to match their students against each other in a series of first-to-surrender duels. Each school will ensure that they have at least five students from their school participating. The duels will take place on this very hill that we stand."
Chatter erupted through the crowds as they wondered who would be duelling against who.
I wonder who they will match me up against. Perhaps there's a chance that-
"Raph."
A soft voice came from beside him, cutting off his thoughts.
Where he stood was crowded, a person on every side of him. But when he turned his head, he saw Beatrice from the Crown School.
Raphael flashed her a smile. It had been a while since he had spoken to the woman.
"Beatrice." He said amongst the chatter. "Where's your boyfriend, Elliot?"
Beatrice rolled her eyes as she squeezed up closer to him. Her soft breasts now pressed up against his arm.
"Tskk. He's hardly my boyfriend anymore, so who knows."
Suddenly, Raphael felt something brush against his groin. Beatrice's hand.
Shit, is she really gonna do this here? Amidst this packed crowd.
She leaned closer to him, the bulge in his fighting gear starting to grow stiff.
"Never mind that.♡" She said seductively in his ear. "Are you ready for your duel?"
The announcer continued shouting the rules, but it was hard for Raphael to focus.
"Now, it is time to announce the first duel. Please, to the hill, can I have Raphael from the Rose school and Leofric from the Phoenix school!"
Beatrice let go of his groin, her gentle fingers tracing a line against it.
Leofric? What are the chances that I was matched up against him?
Beatrice gently pushed him on his shoulder, urging him to make his way to the hill.
"Good luck. Please come and visit me after the fight. You seem to have forgotten about me."
Raphael nodded towards her and began to make his way through the crowd.
I've hardly forgotten about her. There's just so many women I've been busy with.
As he pushed through, excited students stared at him, and whispered amongst themselves.
"Who would've known that they were given the chance to rematch."
"Who do you think will win?'
"Leofric for sure. Their last duel was just with swords, Leofric wasn't able to use his Birthright."
These whispers continued until Raphael made his way to the hill.
Thankfully, he was no longer stiff.
That could've created problems.
He climbed the hill, and on the opposite side, he spotted Leofric doing the same.
The man glared at him, with an anger that seemed murderous. Raphael couldn't help but laugh.
It doesn't matter how angry you get. We both know how this battle will end. And I've already conquered your woman, Evelyn.
Finally, they were at the top of the hill. The five queens slowly retreated, clearing the area for the duel that was about to take place.
The announcer stood between the two students, ready to declare the start of the battle.
But before he could, Leofric growled at Raphael.
"You think you can touch my girl without me finding out?" He snarled.
Raphael was taken aback. He spoke in a calm tone.
"Yes, actually. I don't know how you managed to hear about it. Tom, I assume?"
The taunting words only made the Phoenix Prince angrier, and he rolled up his black sleeves.
"It doesn't matter. I will make sure you pay. I will earn justice for all of the men who fall victim to a nobody like you."
And then, nothing else was said between the two students.
"Begin!"
