My Life Story
On the 5th of August 2015, I left home to go study abroad. That was one of the most challenging moments in my life because I had to stay away from my mother and go into a new environment with different people and different cultures. I had no choice because I had promised to make my mum proud. My mum was not educated because she grew up in a normal African home, with her dad marrying three wives she was one of the numerous children of her father. Unfortunately for my mum , she was born short and that shortness caused her not to go to school because since her dad was tall he denied that she was not his daughter . So my mum had to fend for herself my moving from one business to the other . She started by selling water, then later she went to oranges and so on and so forth . She finally met my dad who was also not good financially and they both struggled together to raise my younger sister and I . When I was nine I promised my mother to become a doctor and make her proud and I couldn't afford to throw this opportunity away because of any silly reason.
That morning mummy quickly stopped a taxi and we drove off to the airport . At the airport before I boarded my flight I reassured my mother of my promise and she hugged me. I had no time to waste so I quickly hugged my younger sister and my mom and I went to board the plane.
