Chapter 3 - School

On Monday, I had to go to school with my new siblings. My auntie had two other children already one was older than me and she was 14 years old and one was also younger than me since she was 9 . I was celebrating my next birthday on September that was going to make me 11 years old. We woke up in the morning by 4 AM to prepare for school. We first fetched water to wash the dishes and clean the house. By the time it was 5:30 AM. We were done with our chores so we went to take our bath and dressed for school since we had already ironed our uniforms the previous day by 6 AM we were already ready we went for morning devotion, which took us 15 minutes and we took our pocket allowance from our dad and went off to school. Our school was far from the house so we had to pick two buses to school each day while was going and while returning back the distance was not that far, but there were no street car that would send us to school so we spent approximately $10 on transportation each day for each person. My parents in Ghana were not that wealth so we always managed. The weather is the bucket money given to us when not that's enough, but we had to manage since we didn't have a choice especially me. I didn't have a choice because I came to Ghana for a purpose, and I had to pursue that purpose and make it to work whether I like it or not I always thought and remembered about my mother and the promise I had made to her. I called several times, especially once in a week to greet my mom and my younger sister and to ask how they are referring so far I've not spoken about my dad but he's coming. He's going to come in the next chapter. Just wait and See.
