In a village in Azuria, the land of magic. A well known sorceress, Estra walked through, not for any particular reason, just to stroll around. She looked around at the few shops and whatnot. She even bought a few things.
Then she saw a few men, but ignored them, until she heard something about some boy, she looked and saw the men beating on a boy. No one interfered which irritated her. She walked up and grabbed on by the shoulder.
"Huh? You need something lady?" One guy said
"You should get lost, or I'll cut you up" another one stated brandishing his dagger.
"Oh come on, harm her, that's a perfect woman, we could have some fun before we do that." The third one said
"You three must be blind…" She said with a slightly irritated tone
"Why is that?"
"Yeah, why is that?"
"I think you should take that big hat off…" The third one said reaching for her hat "... and let us see that beautiful face"
She then grabbed his hand and twisted it. "I wouldn't do that if I were you, I'm not your everyday woman. So I'll say this once and only once…" She looked at them with a serious look even though all they could see was the glow. "Get lost… now!"
The three men laughed.
"She thinks we're scared haha!"
"We really should teach her a lesson"
"She almost broke my damn hand! I don't wanna mess with this crazy demon!"
Both looked at his hand, it was broken.
"Wah!"
"Oh she really is crazy!"
"Let's go!"
The 3 men ran off. Estra looked at the boy and smirked then walked away, but as she went she felt a presence, something following her. She turned and it was the boy.
"Go home, kid" she said
She kept walking and heard him again.
"Did you not hear me?! Go. Home!" She said louder this time
"But… I…" The boy fumbled out
"Go, Home!"
The boy sighed and walked off. Estra did the same and walked out of the village. She then took a different route through a forest. As she walked through she felt something was off. It couldn't be the boy right? He wasn't following her this far right?
She expected to just see his small frame and hear his little voice, but before she even turned, she heard growling. She turned and saw a Huge Elderwolf.
Elderwolves are wolves with immense magic power and strength, known for being apex predators and extremely territorial, but also like regular wolves they hunt in packs. But this one was alone, or was it.
She turned and saw multiple glowing eyes and hungry growls. She was surrounded. They all stepped from the trees. More than she could count, but why? She knew they hunted together, but for there to be this much!
Then she heard a Thwip! and one of the wolves fell, then another, and another and another. She looked and saw the boy, with a slingshot.
"But how?! How can you?"
"My name is Kian, and I want to be the strongest there is, and protect a lot of people, I want… to be… a HERO!"
He pulled back the slingshot and the wolves looked at him. Estra breathed in and held her hand out towards the wolves.
"Blastos!"
A blast came towards the wolves, and destroyed most of them, but it wasn't all of them, that was for sure.
She ran and grabbed the boy and kept using blastos whenever the wolves' came close. Soon they had escaped the forest and we're in a nice grassland. She sighed and sat him down.
"They shouldn't follow us, Elderwolves don't leave their home, and don't go far from it either." She said breathlessly.
"Then their home is close?" Kian asked
She nodded
"Wait! I told you to go home, didn't I?!"
She rose up pointing at finger at him with a stern face.
"I'm… I'm sorry…"
"I'm taking you back"
"Wait, you can't!" He claimed, jumping up to stop her
"And why is that?" She said
"Because…" he looked down "I don't have anyone to go to… my parents are dead"
She looked at him and did a deep sigh, feeling a pang of sadness for him.
"Fine, but you listen to whatever I say and don't get in my way, because I'm not having a dead kid in my memories" She said crossing her arms
Kian smiled and cheered, and for the first time in a long time, so did she.
