The 3 started off, out of the grassland and onto the path to wherever Estra was wanting to go.
"Ms. Estra, where is it that we are going?" Kian asked
Estra smirked "The capital, ever been there boys?" It was clear she already knew the answer, with her smug grin.
"The Capital!" Both boys shouted
There are 7 nations in the land of Magic, Azuria. The one Estra and the boys are in, is Arcadia, the nation of varieties as some call it. It is almost like modern day America, multiple people, spells, places, and cultures.
After a somewhat long journey, they see it, the high walls and guards, the outside markets and merchants. The capital of Arcadia.
Upon coming up to the gate, they were greeted by some guards. Not in a hostile way, but in a suspecting way, after all they had to make sure trouble never entered.
Once they got past the gate, Kian and Kazuya immediately took in the sights. It was quite busy, and slightly crowded. Estra easily went through them, the same couldn't be said for Kian. Kazuya found his way through his skills and size. He slid under and crawled under.
Kian had to squeeze between people, before Estra grabbed him. Her dark red hair contrasted from everyone else's. That is if they even had hair, some Demi-humans were present as well.
When Estra got to a less crowded stop, she let go of Kian.
"Kian… look" Kazuya was looking up, his eyes filled with awe.
Kian looked up too and there it was, the castle, the literal Royal castle. Estra didn't really pay it any mind.
"Ay, you two, you see that Castle? That's the School of Arcadia."
"Is it a Magic school?" Kian asked
"Sorta, it's a school for anything, Magic, Combat, Knowledge, anything really."
Kazuya stepped forward.
"Then, this is where my journey starts." He said with a proud smile.
"Mines as well!" Kian had the same smile too.
Then out of nowhere, a nice old lady came up to Kazuya.
"Oh, dear, I found this beautiful flower, would you like it? Here let me put it in your hair"
Kazuya got really angry
"I'M A BOY, OLD HAG!"
The old lady gasped.
"Oh, I'm sorry"
She hurried along, but that wasn't the end. A couple walked up to him.
"Aww, well aren't you an adorable little girl"
Kazuya thought about using his magic, but he held back. Estra just laughed along with Kian and Kazuya just grabbed the 2 and walked off.
The 3 walked into the School of Arcadia. Estra looked at them and sighed.
"This may be my last time seeing you 2… just make sure ya come and see me, you here!?"
Both boys tensed up and nodded as she registered them. Even in such a short 3 days, she already felt like a mother to them. She hated it, but she wouldn't stop it. As she was about to turn, Kian hugged her.
"Goodbye, Ms. Estra…"
She looked at him and hugged him back and looked at Kazuya.
"Come here you overconfident elf"
She hugged him as well then she walked out.
The receptionist chuckled a bit and told them their schedule. He was a tall, aging guy, his beard slightly long and his eyes closed. He wore an old robe, surprisingly it wasn't ragged, the colors were pretty bland.
The boys didn't have the same first class. Kian's was Magic and Spells history and Kazuya's was Magic and Spells Combat training.

In the class Kian immediately looked around and saw a handful of students. He walked in and sat. He actually felt really nervous, but tried his best to calm himself down, but still it wasn't working. He then looked up only to see a book, levitating, it floated towards a girl. She wore a very beautiful dress, in white with gold. Her hair flowed nicely behind her. The book was in front of her face, so he couldn't see it.
"You shouldn't stare"
He turned only to see a girl with fox ears and sharp eyes.
"What?"
"I said you shouldn't stare… she'll mince you to bits"
Kian froze
What does she mean, mince me to bits? He thought.
"Look" she grabbed a pencil and threw it at the girl, but it stopped just short of her, in midair and turned. It then darted at the Fox girl and she barely dodged. "See…"
Kian was amazed, but then the fox girl gasped and turned.
"She can also talk to people through their mind… scary…"
"What's her name?"
"Selene, one of the most powerful students in the school. Her innate ability is unknown, but most people think it's some psycho ability, but for now, it's unknown."
"Innate ability?"
"You don't know what an innate ability is?"
Kian shook his head and she crossed her leg over her other.
"An Innate ability is an ability that some beings are born with, it gives us superpowers, but it takes a lot of mana, also you don't need to say anything to use 'em. Sadly, it's extremely rare to be born with one and you can't gain one. So there's your lesson on Innate abilities. Oh also most people only have 1 of 2, but in rare cases they can have even more than that."
Kian looked at Selene. She was born with a power that made her the most powerful, how cool is that?
"Oh, by the way, my name is May, and a lot of people know me as the trickster."
He looked at her ears, no wonder.
The teacher then started the lesson.

Kazuya sat in class bored out of his mind, he already knew half of the stuff they were saying. Basic Spells, Affinities, Advanced spells, Expert spells.
Then something caught him, a noise outside. After class he went to see what it was, if it even was still present.
He then saw 3 students, 2 boys, 1 girl and they were around a cat girl. She was pleading with them, trying to get them to let her go. She has black fur and green eyes. He smirked, this wasn't his turf, he wasn't a hero, he was a sorcerer.
Then he stopped, maybe a sorcerer can still save people. He thought, he sighed and stepped in.
"Leave her alone!"
They looked at him.
"What's some Elf girl doing here, go find your savior or something."
"I've always wanted to see an elf girl, now that I'm seeing one, they are quite attractive."
Kazuya couldn't take it and charged in with a kick to one's jaw. Then a punch to another in his side. The girl, he scared her away and the boys followed her.
The cat girl looked at him.
"Thanks…" she brushed herself off. "I'm sorry I'll repay you, just not right now"
Kazuya sighed, he knew now what had happened. She owed those 3 something, but she didn't have the payment, probably asked them to do something.
"You don't have to, not like you can anyway"
"But… yeah you're right… sorry"
"You should stop lying otherwise you could get harmed or worse, killed."
Kazuya extended his hand, she smirked and grabbed it, but dug her nails into him.
"YOUCH!" Kazuya threw her grabbing his bleeding hand "What was that for?!"
"Trusting a cat, especially a black cat. Name's Mimi, I guess I'll see you around…" she skipped away.
Kazuya grinded his teeth and regretted saving her.

Kazuya met up with Kian. His hand was bandaged and he didn't look happy.
"So… how was your first day?" Kian asked walking with Kazuya to the dorms.
"Terrible, saved some cat girl and got attacked by her" his voice was sad and annoyed
"Mines was pretty interesting, I met a fox girl and saw one of the most powerful students in this school!"
"Is that so?" Kazuya said with a yawn. "Well, I'll see you tomorrow, this one's mine" he lazily walked in.
Kian kept walking even past his room, he just wanted to explore, until he heard someone, he turned and saw that same dress, white with gold, it was Selene.
"Oh, your that boy, from my class"
Kian nodded, She sighed and walked past him, but stopped.
"Don't tell anyone you saw me here, okay?"
He looked at her with a confused look, but nodded as she walked away.

When Kian finally went back to his room, he saw it was pretty bland, just a bed and end table and a bit more.
He sat down and thought about his village, the place he grew up in and Estra, the Sorceress who helped him leave it to become a Hero.
