Layla felt relieved when she noticed the guard leaving her hand. Her eyes glittered with tears; she turned around to thank her and Nana nodded her head with appreciation. She was about to leave when the guard this time stood in the middle.
"Mam… I can't let her go; It's against the rul—"
"Even at the cost of losing your job?" Nana asked with her hands resting over her hips. The guard was caught off guard and was about to oppose her but couldn't.
"I'll make sure of that if you don't let her go right now!" She exclaimed and Layla noticed the fear for the first time in the guard's eye. He immediately removed himself and without wasting a second she hurried towards the cars only to notice the last one was about to leave.
