Tears were dripping down Ariana's cheeks as she dragged her small suitcase. Having no idea where she would head to, as flashback memories of the previous night prevailed in her mind. She hadn't contacted her best friend and might have been worried about her after she disappeared in a blink of an eye. She scrolled through her phone and dialed her number before the caller I'd shown on the screen, and it was not long until she heard her response.
" Hello," Chloe responded
" Thank God, you answered, and I have something that I need to tell you about. It's urgent. Ariana stated with a trembling voice as she halted on the pavement as passedby threw side glances at her.
" Are you okay? You seem troubled," Chloe inquired with a caring voice.
" They have thrown me out, and I have nowhere to go. I was asking if I could borrow a few nights at your place before I set myself... "Ariana stated before she was cut short.
" I am sorry, but I cannot host you at my place. I am sorry," Chloe stated with her voice barely a whisper.
" Is shameless Ariana still your friend? A deep voice stated from behind Chloe as Ariana was still on the phone as she overhead it from the phone.
" What was that? Ariana inquired, as she felt as if they referred to her but she ignored.
" It's nothing, let me call you later, Chloe stated before she ended the call abruptly.
" What the hell was that? Chloe yelled at the man who stood behind her at the office desk
" Wow, look who is pretending to be nice, and you are the one who set her up." A deep voice
" Shut up! Samuel, you know nothing. " Chloe yelled.
" Wow, and I didn't know she was such a poor performer at bed, Samuel stated in a in mockery tone.
" And how do you know that? Chloe inquired, confused.
" You should have even taught her given that you had to backstab her and don't think that walls don't have ears,.... Samuel was cut short by the sudden silence in the room before Chloe's name was given attention to in the whole chamber.
" Chloe, Chloe...in my office, now. " A deep husky voice was given attention to who was at the entrance of the enormous chamber.
" What the hell would have irked him this morning? Chloe, who sat still dumbstruck in her seat, murmured in her mind.
" Mmm, did you hear the manager call out your name? He must be irked. I think I have to watch my own back because the manager with his temper of firing people has become a habit in the blink of an eye once a career is over. " Samuel murmured as he checked the file that was on his table.
" I will ..." Chloe cleached her hands into a fist as she grinded her teeth before he was cut short by the sudden glare from everyone. Her eyes pierced through her as she stood in her seat.
Ariana was just seated at the beach in the park area as she waited for Chloe's phone call as flashback memories came through her mind in pieces and her attention was brought back to reality by the phone ringtone message. She quickly scrolled her phone open, and she found a videotape of her previous coworkers' group that they had formed, and she hadn't left the group and on opening the videotape, tears had just started to drip down her cheeks as she felt a sharp pain in her heart as if she was stabbed with a sharp knife and the knife was twisted in her. Ariana couldn't believe that life would ever be this harsh to her.
" What did I ever do to deserve this? Ariana teared out for herself as her body grew weak, and she ended up lying down on the beach, and she didn't know for how long she lay there after she got into a nap. Before she was woken up by a police patrol.
" Ma'am, ma'am, Are you alright? A soft voice inquired as she patted her shoulders to Ariana, who had slept on the bench given the hours that her bare skin was exposed to the cold and mosquitoes. Her skin had developed pale with small red spots all over.
" Yes..." Ariana stated as she groaned from the light as she opened her eyes and broked the bright light from her eyes with her small hand.
" Ma'am, wake up, you are not supposed to be here at this hour. " The female patrol officer stated politely
" And what does it mean? " Ariana inquired, confused as she rubbed her eyes from the back of her hands.
" Ma'am, it's already dark, and the park closes at 6 in the evening, and it's quarter to 8 pm. That is why I must ask you to leave.
" It's already dark, and she hasn't called... Ariana murmured to herself as her heart sank.
" Ma'am, do you have an address that I can drop you off at? " The lady inquired with a worried face.
" I have no where that I can call home. Why don't you allow me to spend the night here today before I figure out something tomorrow. " Ariana inquired as her voice trembled from the cold before she started to cough.
" Ma'am, it is not safe here at all, and you need to see a doctor. You must get a flue. " The patrol lady stated
" I am sorry ma'am, but I don't think I can go to the... hospital... Ariana stated as she stammered.
" What's your name ma'am? " The patrol lady inquired as she handed her the overcoat that she helped her seat.
" I am Ariana ma'am. " Ariana stated
" Okay, Ariana, you don't seem to be doing well, we need to get to a hospital. " The patrol lady stated as she caught sight of stains of blood to where she lay on the bench.
" I am... am okay, ma'am. " Ariana struggled as she stated
" But Ariana , it seems you have been assaulted. " The lady stated as she looked at Ariana's tone clothes.
" No I haven't been... A... Assaulted. " Ariana struggled with her words.
" Okay, do you have anything that you have here? " The lady inquired as she helped her up to her feet.
"My suitcase. " Ariana stated as she clutched her phone.
" I am sorry, Ariana, I can't see your suitcase here. It must have been taken while you were asleep. " The lady stated as she helped Ariana to walk towards the patrol car before the officer unfurled the back seat and helped her lay down before she unfurled the driver's seat and the engine started, and it was around half an hour when the patrol car halted outside a motel.
