Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

### **SCENE 16: SECRET ROOM - THE THREE REBELS**

_In one of the most isolated rooms at Solaris University, there was a secret room where students gathered to do whatever they wanted, away from the eyes of the teachers. Sitting on a worn leather couch were Ryan, Janie, and Emily. The lighting was low, and the environment exuded an aura of rebellion and mystery._

_Ryan, 18 years old, with black hair and a bit of a gothic look (with the power to control shadows and teleportation), was leaning back, his tattooed arms extended over the back of the sofa as he pulled Janie closer to him. The 18-year-old girl with long brown hair, with a narcissistic expression and full of self-confidence (with the power of super speed and electricity), wrapped her arms around his neck, her movements quick and calculated, as always._

_Emily, sitting in a nearby chair, rolled her eyes, irritated by the scene. She is 17 years old, with blonde hair, short, a bit of a nerd (with the power to control ice), but she had no patience for her friends' "shows of affection."_

**Emily** (rolling her eyes, slamming the laptop keys angrily):

— "Seriously, you two need a room... or maybe some psychological treatment."

**Ryan** (laughing, without moving away from Janie):

— "Relax, Em. There's no need to be jealous. Do you want to lean in too?"

**Janie** (with a venomous smile):

— "Yeah, just because you prefer the company of ice doesn't mean we have to be frozen too."

_Emily snorted, the fingers of her right hand beginning to shine with a thin layer of ice. Small crystals began to form on the laptop's keys as she tried to stay focused._

**Emily** (frustrated):

— "If I wanted to watch you two make out, I would have sold tickets. Now, shut up... I'm researching Andrew Star."

_This caught Ryan's attention, who stopped kissing Janie for a moment. He leaned forward a little, intrigued._

**Ryan**:

— "Andrew Star? The guy who controls that purple and blue energy? Don't worry, when the time comes I will beat him, and I will be first in the student rankings (he says with a confident smile)

**Emily** (frustrated):

— "I want to see that" Yes, that one. There's something... strange about him. There's something in his past that doesn't make sense. I'm trying to put the pieces together, but with you two moaning by my side, it's difficult."

_Janie laughed loudly, running her hand through her black hair and moving away from Ryan for a moment._

**Janie** (provocative):

— "Ah, poor irritated nerd. Maybe you should relax a little, put down that laptop and have fun with us?"

_Emily gave her an icy glare, literally, as the air around her began to cool._

**Emily** (cold):

— "I already have fun... freezing things. Now shut up before I turn you into a popsicle."

**Ryan** (laughing, as the shadows around him fluttered):

— "Come on, Janie, don't mess with the nerd. You know she'll freeze you out if you continue."

_Janie laughed again, but this time she backed away, knowing that Emily was not in a good mood. At that moment, another student entered the secret room, carrying the private party invitations._

**Random boy** (with a mischievous smile):

— "Hey, guys. Private party. It's happening later, just for students... and no teachers around. Who's in?"

_Ryan took the invitation, his black eyes shining with excitement._

**Ryan** (looking at Cristin and then at Emily):

— "It looks like the night is going to get interesting."

_Janie smiled, her eyes shining with a mix of mischief and anticipation._

**Janie**:

— "Ah, yes. I love a good party where I can have fun without rules."

_Emily looked at them, frowning._

**Emily** (sarcastic):

— "You two at an unsupervised party? This can only end in mass destruction."

**Ryan** (with a dark smile):

— "And you know you love it."

_Emily rolled her eyes again, but a small smile escaped. Maybe, just maybe, this party would be the break she needed from the daily irritation of her friends. After all, a little chaos every now and then never hurt._

**Emily**:

— "Okay, okay... let's do it. But if you two start making out again, I swear I'll freeze you until the next ice age."

**Janie** (laughing):

— "I can't wait."

### **SCENE 17: THE SECRET LABORATORY**

_ The environment in the laboratory is high-tech, with monitors projecting holograms, containment tanks with glowing liquids and scientists concentrated at tables full of intricate devices. Thick cables and glass tubes snaked through the room, connected to four containment pods, each housing a student. Three boys and a girl were trapped inside, floating in a viscous-looking liquid, with electrodes attached to their bodies. Among the boys, 16-year-old Solaris University prodigy Andrew Star had his body illuminated by the intermittent glow of his blue and purple energy, while a team of scientists worked frantically to extract his power._

_The door opened with a slight click, and Director Sinclair entered. Tall, with an imposing presence and a venomous smile, he wore a perfectly tailored suit, but there was something disconcerting about his relaxed, carefree posture. As always, his arrival brought an almost palpable discomfort to the environment. He walked to the center of the room, observing the capsules with a sharp and malicious gaze._

**Sinclair** (sarcastically, in a disinterested tone):

— "So... how are we doing? Do we have anything interesting to show yet or are we still playing frustrated scientist?"

_The chief scientist Dr. Maddox, visibly nervous, looked at Sinclair with a slight tremor in his hands. It was obvious that the director's presence was destabilizing him, but he tried to maintain his composure as he responded._

**Dr. Maddox** (hesitant):

— "We're making progress, sir. But... it's been slower than expected."

**Sinclair** (arching an eyebrow, with an ironic smile):

— "Slow? Don't tell me. I thought sucking the talent and life out of teenagers would be easier, but you guys are surprising me with your incompetence. How cute."

_Dr. Maddox swallowed hard, looking away as he adjusted the controls on the machine that monitored energy levels._

**Dr. Maddox** (trying to justify):

— "Andrew Star's power, in particular, has been difficult to extract. His resistance... is unusual. We are doing our best to break down the defense barriers, but the process is... taking a long time."

_Sinclair approached Andrew's capsule, observing the blonde boy who was floating in the liquid, his blue and purple energy pulsing slowly, as if he was internally fighting against extraction. The director placed a hand on the glass of the capsule, tilting his head slightly, his eyes full of contempt, like a predator watching its prey trying to escape in vain._

**Sinclair** (smiling, mischievously):

— "Difficult, is it? This boy... always so resistant. So full of himself. Maybe you're being too kind. Who knows, if he... suffers a little, things will flow faster."

_Dr. Maddox hesitated for a moment, but knew that contradicting Sinclair was not a wise option. He approached the controls, adjusting the machine's parameters, increasing the intensity of the extraction. The sensors began to flash frantically, indicating that the level of pain and discomfort inside Andrew's capsule was growing._

_Andrew, unconscious but instinctively reacting, began to spasm inside the capsule. Its thermal energy, that unique mix of blue and purple, intensified, creating a field of resistance. It was obvious he was struggling, even if he couldn't fully understand what was happening._

**Dr. Maddox** (with a trembling voice):

— "We've increased the intensity, sir. But... Andrew is creating a resistance field. It will be difficult to break it without... serious damage."

_Sinclair gave a low laugh, full of disdain, as he walked away from Andrew's capsule and looked at the rest of the trapped students._

**Sinclair** (sarcasm, but dangerous):

— "Severe harm? Oh, what a tragedy. As if I care about the well-being of any of these insufferable teenagers. I want their powers, not their lives. But if necessary... sacrifice some in the name of science , who am I to question?"

_Dr. Maddox hesitated, clearly uncomfortable with the director's tone, but he knew Sinclair was relentless. Sinclair then turned his gaze to the other three students, his eyes scanning the limp bodies with contempt._

**Sinclair** (coldly):

— "These three seem to be behaving better than our young prodigy. Perhaps they will serve as an example for him. The girl... she seems promising. Her powers... are perhaps the easiest to manipulate."

_The director approached the girl's capsule, his gaze full of malice. She, with brown hair and delicate features, floated like the others, apparently in a state of inertia while the extraction process took place._

**Sinclair** (whispering, contemptuously):

— "So fragile... so easy to break. What a waste of power in such insignificant bodies."

_He walked away, running a hand through his hair with calculated indifference, before turning to DR Maddox again._

**Sinclair** (with a venomous smile):

— "Do whatever is necessary. I want Andrew Star's power in my hands. If he resists... increase the pain, break down the barriers, make him beg to end this. And if by chance any of the others can't take it ...well, then they didn't deserve the power they carry."

_Dr. Maddox nodded, knowing he had no choice. He began to adjust the controls more, knowing he was about to cross a line from which he could not come back. Sinclair, in turn, walked away from the scene, the mischievous smile still present on his lips as he looked out the laboratory window._

**Sinclair** (mumbling to himself, with a touch of irony):

— "Ah, the price of power... always higher for fools who don't know how to control it."

_In the background, Andrew continued to struggle, his energy oscillating erratically, as a last effort to resist the inevitable. The director just watched, savoring every moment of the boy's fight._

**Sinclair** (in a sarcastic tone, leaving the laboratory):

— "Have fun... but don't delay. I hate waiting."_

### **SCENE 18: THE STUDENTS' PRIVATE PARTY**

_The camera opens in a completely different environment than Sinclair's dark laboratory. A party in a secret student room full of flashing lights, loud music and empowered teenagers celebrating like there's no tomorrow. The surrounding walls were decorated with light strips, drinks floated on their own, and every now and then, a spark of energy or a gust of wind created stunning visual effects in the air. Alexys, Ethan, Jordan and Ema were at the center of the fun, each in their own way immersed in the magical night._

_Jordan, with his super strength, carried three cans of drink in one hand, laughing loudly at a joke a student told. Ema, with her serene aura and a touch of charm, was already in a group nearby, dancing casually with the leaves that she made grow around her._

_Meanwhile, Alexys and Ethan were a little away, close to a drinks table, observing the commotion from afar. Ethan was relaxed, with his friendly and observant way, while Alexys, always restless, couldn't stay still for long._

**Alexys** (smiling):

— "Are you always like this, so prim, Ethan? I thought this party would be a good chance to see you... loosen up a little."

**Ethan** (with a friendly smile, but a touch of mischief in his eyes):

— "I prefer to observe, you know. If you let go too loose, you end up tripping... And I like to know where I put my feet."

**Alexys** (laughing, taking a sip from the glass):

— "Ah, stop it. I know there's a wilder Ethan in there. What are you waiting for? Something interesting to happen?"

**Ethan** (arching his eyebrow, defiant):

— "Maybe I'm just waiting for the right company."

_Alexys came closer, her eyes shining with fun and challenge. She liked playing with Ethan, testing his limits. There was something intriguing in his manner, that mix of calm and observation that made her want to break her serenity._

**Alexys** (lowering the tone, with a mischievous smile):

— "Oh, yeah? And what would make you really let go, Ethan? Some dirty secret? Some hidden temptation?"

_Ethan gave a low laugh, his eyes twinkling as he watched her closely. He could feel the challenge in the air, and he wasn't going to back down so easily._

**Ethan** (with an ironic smile):

— "Maybe I'm just waiting for someone brave enough to try."

_Alexys laughed loudly, enjoying the verbal game. She liked it when he joined the bandwagon, putting aside his good-guy mask._

**Alexys** (provocative):

— "Be careful what you wish for, Ethan. Sometimes the wind can be unpredictable."

**Ethan** (with a softer but still malicious tone):

— "I think that's exactly why you intrigue me, Alexys. You never play fair, but I like that."

The two remain silent for a few seconds, but finally Alexys breaks the silence_

**Alexys** (with a mischievous smile, looking around):

— "This is more like a superpowers fair than a real party. Everyone's trying to impress someone. One stronger breeze and they all fall flat on their butts."

_Ethan laughed, bringing the can of drink to his lips, without taking his eyes off Alexys. He liked the way she always had a ready answer, full of trickery, without ever taking herself too seriously._

**Ethan** (playful, raising his eyebrow):

— "What about you? Aren't you trying to impress anyone? Or is your style more... doing things discreetly, without attracting attention?"

_Alexys glanced at him quickly, biting her lower lip with a smirk, the response coming sharp as always._

**Alexys** (depraved, but provocative):

— "Impress? Oh, honey, I'm the whole show. I don't need to try hard to do that. I make the wind dance for me, remember?"

_She raised her hand, and a light breeze enveloped Ethan, moving his hair and clothes. He laughed, surprised and intrigued, as he felt the touch of the wind around him. Alexys' eyes shone, amused by his reaction._

**Ethan** (with a intrigued, observant smile):

— "I don't doubt it. You're definitely a force of nature. But what are you hiding behind that tough look of yours, huh? You think I don't understand?"

_Alexys tilted her head, surprised by Ethan's direct comment. She studied him for a moment, her eyes fixed on him, as if evaluating him again._

**Alexys** (curious, with a touch of mischief):

— "And who do you think you are, the Sherlock of auras? Are you trying to analyze me, Ethan? Good luck, I'm more complicated than that friendly smile of yours thinks it can handle."

**Ethan** (laughing, with a provocative calm):

— "I'd say I like challenges. And you're definitely one. But to be honest, I like what I see so far. There's something about you... it's like you're always ready for a fight, but... maybe What you need is someone who can read between the lines."

_Alexys snorted, but her mischievous smile didn't disappear. She was used to intimidating, to keeping people at a distance, but Ethan didn't seem to be intimidated. He remained firm, with that calm and confident posture that she, deep down, admired — even if she would never admit it._

**Alexys** (provocatively, with a wink):

— "And you think you're that person? A guy who reads auras and thinks he's going to decipher me like that, easily?"

**Ethan** (with a twinkle in his eyes, joking):

— "Easy? No. But nothing worth having is easy, right? And deep down... I think you also like challenges. Maybe we have more in common than you want to admit."

_Alexys rolled her eyes, but the truth is that Ethan was starting to break down her defenses. She didn't like being read so easily, but there was something undeniably magnetic about his calmness. She got a little closer, shortening the distance between the two, letting the atmosphere between them intensify._

**Alexys** (maliciously, whispering):

— "Maybe. But I'm not the type to play fair, and you know that, Ethan. I like to do things... my way."

**Ethan** (with a soft smile, without losing tone):

— "I would expect nothing less from you, Alexys. And who said I care about the rules?"

_The silence between the two was filled by the music in the background, and the electricity between them could almost be felt in the air. Alexys was surprised at herself—she rarely let anyone get close like this. But Ethan had something different, something that attracted her in a way she couldn't fully understand._

_The party continued, but for them, at that moment, it seemed as if the rest of the world had disappeared. Ema walked by with a loud laugh, catching Alexys' attention._

**Ema** (screaming from afar, playfully):

— "Hey, Alexys! Stop dragging Ethan around and come drink something decent! This party won't last forever!"

_Alexys moved a little away from Ethan, casting a mischievous smile at Ema, before looking back at him._

**Alexys** (provocative, laughing):

— "We'll talk later, aura-boy. You'll need more than a friendly smile to get to me."

_She winked at him before turning and heading towards Ema, leaving Ethan standing there, smiling to himself, intrigued by that girl who looked like a hurricane disguised as a breeze._

**Ethan** (mumbling to himself, smiling):

— "I think I'm ready for whatever comes, Alexys. Ready to dance with the wind."_

### **SCENE 19: LIKES, DESIRES AND THE FUTURE**

_The party was still buzzing around them, but Alexys, Ethan, Ema and Jordan found a quieter corner, away from the loud music, where they could talk without having to shout. They sat in one of the corners of the university garden, near a fountain that reflected the bright lights of the party. An atmosphere of camaraderie began to grow between them. There, between laughter and provocations, the conversation flowed naturally, without filters._

**Jordan** (stretching his arms, relaxed):

— "Man, it's funny to think... we've only known each other for a short time, but it seems like a lot of things have already happened. Like... I didn't even think I would last this long here at Solaris. My initial plan was to just join, train a little, gain some extra muscle — if that's possible — and get out. But now... I don't know, I kind of want to see where this goes."

_He laughed, throwing his head back as he drank straight from the can, without caring about conventions. He was that kind of guy who said whatever came to mind, without holding back. Alexys looked at him sideways, with a mischievous smile on her lips._

**Alexys** (teasing):

— "Do you mean how far your muscles will take you or how far college will let you play with your super strengths? Because let's be honest, Jordan... you're like that guy who, if they let you, will try to lift college whole just to prove that you can do it."

_Jordan laughed loudly, without a hint of shame, slapping Ethan on the shoulder that almost made him fall off the bench._

**Jordan** (with a wide smile):

— "Oh, come on, Alexys, you know I could do it! But... seriously, I don't even know what I want after college. Maybe be like... a hero or something? Make money saving the world or, I don't know, lifting fallen buildings.

**Ema** (laughing softly, touching a flower that grew between her fingers):

— "Of course, Jordan. You, the muscular hero in the cape. It would be a sight to see, I can't deny it. But for me? I don't know... my dream is simpler. I just want to find some isolated corner, surrounded by nature , without all this fuss. Take care of my plants, maybe create a forest of my own. The rest of the world? Let them look around. I'm fine without this saving the day thing."

**Alexys** (biting her lip, mischievously):

— "There's an idea. Being the queen of a forest and, who knows, making the rest of the world kneel to you. It's not so bad, right? I always knew you had a bossy side hidden out there."

**Ema** (smiling mischievously):

— "Ah, you can't even imagine how much. But what about you, Alexys? What's your plan? Make the wind carry you around the world and just watch the chaos?"

_Alexys looked at the three, a small shadow of seriousness crossing her eyes, but she quickly covered it with a cynical smile, throwing her hair back._

**Alexys** (with trickery):

— "My plan? Survive this college, maybe find out what happened to my dad, and then... who knows. I'm not the type to plan, I'm more of a feeler in the moment, you know? If the wind changes, I change together. The only certainty I have is that I won't tie myself to anything. I like to be free. I'm not made to be tied to any place or person."

**Ethan** (smiling, jokingly):

— "You're like a leaf in the wind, Alexys. Always floating, never letting yourself be captured. I respect that, but sometimes... doesn't it get tired of being like that? Always running away from something, even if you don't know what it is?"

_Alexys narrowed her eyes at him, a challenging smile appearing on her face. That kind of conversation, deep and personal, always made her a little uncomfortable, so she deflected it with sarcasm, as she always did._

**Alexys** (provocative):

— "So philosophical, Ethan. Are you going to tell me that you, the boy who reads auras, have a clear plan for life? Something deep and existential?"

**Ethan** (calm but direct):

— "I didn't say I have all the answers, but... I have some ideas. I want to understand more about people, powers, what makes each of us who we are. Maybe one day I'll open my own gym, teach the others to understand themselves. I'm more about... observing. I don't need to be the guy who lifts buildings or controls the wind. I'd rather be the one who reads between the lines, who sees what no one else sees."

_There was a pause. Ethan's tone was more serious, and Alexys, even though she didn't want to admit it, felt touched. He looked at her in a way that made her feel like he saw beyond her facade, and that bothered her as much as it intrigued her._

**Alexys** (looking away, with a mischievous smile):

— "Well, Ethan... I don't know what you're seeing right now, but I hope you're enjoying the show. Because I'm a lot more interesting when you let me loose."

_He laughed, shaking his head, accepting the provocation with his characteristic calm._

**Ethan** (playful):

— "Ah, I have no doubt about that. What about the ranking? How do you feel about it? This whole system of comparing our powers... It seems like everything here revolves around who is the strongest, who can stay at the top."

**Jordan** (snorting, impatient):

— "Honestly? This ranking is a joke. Who cares about numbers and rankings? What matters is what you do with your powers, not where you are on the list. If I wanted to be number one, I would already be there. "

**Ema** (laughing, mocking):

— "Oh, of course, the great Jordan. But, in reality, I agree. I don't even care about that. These rankings are just an excuse to measure ego. I prefer to focus on what really matters. And you know what matters to me ."

_She smiled mischievously, making a leaf grow in the palm of her hand before letting it fall to the ground. Alexys looked at her, laughing._

**Alexys** (malicious):

— "I agree. Ranking or not, at the end of the day, we're going to do what has to be done our way. And I don't need numbers to know that I can bring down half of this university if I want."

**Ethan** (calm, but with a provocative look):

— "I believe it. And maybe that's what scares me a little."

### **SCENE 20: THE REBELS ARRIVE**

The party was in full swing, with music bouncing off the walls and colorful lights reflecting off the bottles and glasses that littered the makeshift tables. The secret room was full of students who laughed, danced and let themselves be carried away by the chaotic and carefree atmosphere, using their powers to have fun in every way. However, there was a group that attracted attention without even trying._

_The door to the secret room opened and, amid the crowd, Ryan, Janie and Emily made their entrance. Ryan, with his shaggy black hair, piercings, and tattoos that seemed to almost glow under the black light, walked with a calm confidence. Their shadows discreetly undulated around their feet, as if they were a living extension of their presence._

_Janie, always with a venomous smile on her face, walked beside him, her long, shiny brown hair swaying with each step. There was something predatory about his movements, as if he was looking for his next victim, ready to tease or humiliate them without mercy. With her super speed, she crossed the room with ease, looking at everyone as if they were mere pawns in her ego game._

_Emily, with her nerdy way, seemed completely uninterested in the chaos around her. She settled into a chair at the back, away from the dance floor, where she could watch the others with her cold, calculating eyes. Her hands were occupied with a glass of juice, which she cooled with a thin layer of ice, enjoying the isolation while her friends did what they did best: cause._

**Ryan** (calmly, looking at Janie while lighting a cigarette):

— "Do you see what I see, Janie? This party is asking for a little trouble... Something that will really make the night worth it."

**Janie** (laughing maliciously):

— "Absolutely. Everyone is so happy, so relaxed... All that's needed is a dose of chaos to spice things up."

**Emily** (from afar, with sarcasm):

— "Because, of course, the only thing this party needs is more drama. You two are a walking disaster."

_Ryan took a long drag on his cigarette, letting the smoke slowly leave his lips as he looked around._

**Ryan** (calm, but with a dark smile):

— "That's how we keep things interesting, Emily. If there's no chaos, what's left? Boredom."

_Janie had already left for the bar, where she leaned over the counter and, with her super speed, "borrowed" a bottle of vodka without anyone noticing. She winked at Ryan, raising the bottle with a mischievous smile, before disappearing into the crowd again._

**Janie** (provocative):

— "Let's see who can last this party until the end."

**Emily** (rolling her eyes):

— "You're going to end up arrested or expelled, and I'm going to have to freeze the security guards to get you out of trouble."

**Ryan** (laughing, looking at Emily):

— "I admit, it would be fun to see that."
