Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

### **SCENE 11: TALKING ABOUT THE RANKING**

After the director leaves, Alexis, Jordan, Emma and Ethan remain in the arena, talking about what they just saw._

**Jordan** (laughing):

— "So, who wants to bet on how long it will take for us to climb this ranking? Because, seriously, Andrew may be good, but he's not unbeatable."

**Alexys** (with a mischievous smile):

— "I think he just needs a good storm to cool that ego."

**Ethan** (smiling, but more serious):

— "Climbing this ranking seems to be the key to discovering some of the secrets that the school hides. The stronger you become, the more access you have to information... and perhaps to what is really going on here."

**Ema** (thoughtful, but with a slight smile):

— "Looks like we have a mission, then."

**Alexys** (looking at the group, defiantly):

— "If we're going to take over this school, we're going to do it our way. And I guarantee it's going to be an epic mess."

### **SCENE 12: MEETING IN THE CORRIDOR**

_Ema walked distractedly through the corridors of Solaris University, until something caught her attention. It was a blonde girl with black glasses, focused on her laptop. She was sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall, completely oblivious to the movement around her. Her name is Georgie, she is 17 years old. She was known for being incredibly intelligent and calculating. Few dared to approach her._

_Ema hesitated for a moment, feeling butterflies in her stomach. Her feelings for Georgie were something she tried to ignore, but now, seeing the girl so close, it seemed impossible to resist. He took a deep breath and, trying to remain calm, walked towards her._

**Ema** (trying to sound casual):

— "Hi... are you busy?"

_Georgie didn't even look up. Her fingers continued to type quickly, and an aura of light telekinesis floated around her, moving small objects from one side to the other without her needing to touch them._

**Georgie** (without looking up from the laptop):

— "Always."

_Ema stood still for a moment, waiting for Georgie to say something more, but all she heard was the sound of keys being pressed. Trying not to be intimidated, she sat down next to Georgie, trying to think of something clever to say._

**Ema** (nervous, picking at a leaf that had fallen on the ground):

— "You're really good with this technology stuff, right? I always mess up when it comes to computers."

**Georgie** (short, without much interest):

- "I know."

_The silence that followed was suffocating, but Ema wasn't ready to give up._

**Ema** (trying to keep the conversation alive):

— "I'm Ema, by the way. I work with plants, it's my power but I have a soft spot for... intelligent people."

_Georgie finally looked up for a second, only to see Ema blush. His gaze quickly returned to the screen._

**Georgie** (indifferently):

— "Telekinesis is more efficient, but good for you."

_Ema laughed nervously, not knowing exactly how to respond. She looked at Georgie, trying to decipher some emotion beyond that cold and calculating facade, but the girl remained completely oblivious to Ema's presence._

**Ema** (trying to be more direct):

— "Do you want to... have coffee or something sometime? It would be nice... to talk outside of this school environment."

_Georgie just sighed, as if the idea of socializing was a burden. Finally, she looked at Ema, adjusting her glasses with a casual movement of telekinesis._

**Georgie** (dry):

— "I'm not one to socialize. And honestly, I have more important projects."

_That cold response was a huge blow to Ema, who bit her lip, clearly disappointed. He tried to hide it, but the rejection was palpable._

**Ema** (forcing a smile):

— "I got it... no problem."

_She stood up slowly, trying to walk away with what little dignity she had left, while Georgie returned to focusing completely on the laptop. However, before leaving, Ema ventured one more sentence._

**Ema**:

— "If you change your mind... I'll be there."

_Without getting a response, Ema left, her heart beating fast. It was obvious that Georgie wasn't interested in her at all, but that only made Ema want to try even more._

### **SCENE 13: TRAINING IN THE COMBAT ROOM**

In one of the university's combat rooms, Jordan and Ethan were preparing for another training session. The floor was padded, and the walls reflected the room with tall mirrors. Jordan, with his well-defined muscles and confident stance, warmed up as Ethan looked at him with a mixture of nervousness and excitement._

**Jordan** (laughing):

— "Relax, man. I'm not going to destroy you... just break a few bones, but nothing that you won't recover quickly."

_Ethan rolled his eyes, trying to appear less nervous._

**Ethan**:

— "Ah, great. Nothing like a positive incentive to start the day."

_Alexys was sitting on the side of the room, watching the two with an amused smile, already predicting that the fight would be more unbalanced than Ethan expected._

**Alexys** (teasing):

— "I hope you have a good strategy, Ethan. Because aura alone won't save you from getting beaten up today."

**Ethan** (trying to maintain humor):

— "Hey, I can read his intentions. Maybe that will give me an advantage... or at least help me anticipate the punch before it lands in my face."

_Jordan snapped his fingers, laughing as he positioned himself for the fight._

**Jordan**:

— "Reading my intentions won't change the fact that I'm faster and stronger, my friend. But if it makes you feel better, you can try."

_The fight started quickly. Ethan tried to dodge the first blows, but Jordan's speed and strength were impressive. Every time Ethan tried to counterattack, Jordan simply dodged and, with a calculated movement, knocked him to the ground._

**Jordan** (laughing, offering Ethan his hand to get up):

— "Man, you need to improve your posture. It's really stiff."

**Ethan** (breathing, accepting help):

— "Easy for you to say. I don't have a battle tank for muscles."

**Alexys** (laughing):

— "If it were an aura reading fight, Ethan would win easily. But brute strength... is another story."

_Ethan shrugged, clearly tired, but determined to continue._

**Ethan**:

— "Maybe I don't need brute force... if I can use my head."

_Jordan smiled, admiring his friend's determination._

**Jordan**:

— "That's the attitude. Now, let's go again. But try not to fall so quickly this time."

### **SCENE 14: ALEXYS' REVELATION**

_The training session finally ended, and Alexys, Jordan and Ethan were sitting on the floor, catching their breath. As they laughed and discussed the moves, Jordan noticed something in Alexys' backpack. It was a photo, somewhat worn, of a man. Jordan frowned, curious._

**Jordan**:

— "Who is this?"

_Alexys, who was distracted, looked at the photo and became serious for a moment. She took the image and looked at it for a few seconds before sighing._

**Alexys** (with a darker tone):

— "It's my father... he worked here at the university."

_Ethan and Jordan remained silent, realizing the weight that those words carried._

**Jordan** (cautious):

— "Worked? What happened?"

_Alexys bit her lip, as if she was deciding how much to tell. After a long silence, she finally responded._

**Alexys**:

— "He disappeared. No one knows what happened, but it was inside this school. Since then, I've been trying to find out what really goes on here. Your father was right Jordan, there are more secrets buried in this place than most realize. "

_Ethan frowned, trying to process the information._

**Ethan**:

— "That's... seriously. Do you think it has anything to do with those missing rumors?"

_Alexys shrugged, but her gaze was intense._

**Alexys**:

— "Maybe. Or maybe he knew too much. I just know that I won't rest until I find out what happened."

**Jordan** (trying to lighten the mood, but still serious):

— "Looks like we're all on a mission, then. If you need help breaking down some doors or tackling anything that's hiding here, let me know. I'm not just brawn, you know? I've got some tricks, too."

_Alexys smiled, but there was a dark determination in her eyes._

**Alexys**:

— "I'll remember that. And trust me, when the time comes, I'll need all of you."

_Ethan smiled, placing his hand on her shoulder._

**Ethan**:

— "We're in this together, Alexys. Let's find out what happened."

### **SCENE 15: MEETING IN THE CORRIDOR**

_Alexys, Ethan and Jordan left the combat room, the weight of the conversation about Alexys' missing father still hanging in the air. However, as soon as they opened the door, they saw Ema, who seemed to be wandering the halls, lost in thought. She looked at them and smiled slightly, trying to hide the frustrating moment she had with Georgie._

**Ema** (trying to sound casual):

— "Hey, what are you guys doing?"

**Jordan** (laughing, wiping sweat from his forehead):

— "Hitting Ethan's ass, as always."

**Ethan** (sarcastic):

— "Oh, of course, because it makes my day so much better."

_Alexys, noticing the lighter mood, gave an ironic smile, but was soon interrupted by a boy who approached them with a mischievous expression and a sheaf of papers in his hand._

**Random boy** (with a mischievous smile):

— "Hey, guys... here's the news of the day."

_He gave each of them a discreet invitation, with minimalist decoration. The only thing that stood out was a phrase written in gold letters: "Private Party — Don't tell the teachers."_

**Ema** (reading the invitation, intrigued):

— "Private party? That sounds interesting... and kind of dangerous."

**Alexys** (looking suspicious):

— "These things never end well. But... it could be fun."

**Jordan** (excited):

— "Ah, this is definitely going to end badly. And that's exactly why we have to go."

**Ethan** (with a crooked smile):

— "You know it's a bad idea when Jordan's excited."

**Ema** (looking at Alexys):

— "It'll be an opportunity to... investigate a little, perhaps? Who knows, maybe someone drunk will blurt out something interesting."

_Alexys smiled, now more convinced. She knew that any chance of finding out more about her father could come from unexpected sources._

**Alexys**:

— "So that's it. Are we going?"

_Everyone nodded, already imagining themselves at the party, ready for the chaos to come._
