Year 2030

In a worn-out orphanage room, a young boy around three years old lay sleeping. Suddenly, his eyes began to flutter open. The room, though dilapidated, was filled with a quiet stillness, and the boy's awakening sparked a sense of curiosity and wonder about his surroundings.

"Uh, what happened?" I tried to open my eyes, but they ached from the brightness. I struggled to adjust my vision to the intense light and then, slowly, I managed to open them. I could faintly feel the warmth of the sun, causing my body to feel more energetic.
As I opened my eyes, I found myself in an old, worn-out bedroom. I sat on the bed, pondering what had happened in the void. Who were they? Who is their brother? And what is a quirk? I contemplated these questions, but no answers came. I'll get my answers when the quirk thing awakens, so I stopped thinking and looked around at my strange surroundings.
Suddenly, I spotted a mirror. To my surprise, it wasn't the mirror itself that caught my attention, but the reflection in it: a handsome face with yellow hair, tanned skin, and blue ocean-like eyes. The moment I made eye contact with the reflection; memories began to fill my head—memories that were not mine.
"I see... this body is mine. I reincarnated here, but when I was born, my mind wasn't strong enough. That's why the memories only came now."
My name in this world is Alexander Heart. This body doesn't know who its parents are. The only thing they gave me is this name. Maybe it's a good thing; I don't need any other parents besides my original ones. Other than that, there's no memory worth mentioning.
My thoughts halted upon seeing the door to my room opening. A middle-aged woman with a round face and black hair entered. She is the matron of this orphanage and a kind woman with a soft spot for Alexander, as his parents abandoned him when he was born. He is like a son to her.
"Alex, are you okay, my child? Do you feel pain anywhere?"
"I am okay, Mother," I responded. (Everyone in the orphanage calls her mother.) I do not need to fear her discovering my new memories because this body behaves and acts the same as before. The only thing that has changed is the memories I have gained.
"I always told you not to run around in the hall," she scolded gently.
I nodded and smiled softly at her, feeling a strange sense of comfort in her presence. The warmth in her eyes and the gentleness in her voice made it clear that she genuinely cared about Alexander.
"I'm sorry, Mother," I said, trying to reassure her.
She sighed and shook her head with a small smile. "Just be more careful, alright? We wouldn't want you to get hurt again."
With that, she left the room, closing the door quietly behind her. I was left alone with my thoughts once more, trying to make sense of the new memories and the reality I was now a part of.
Days passed, and I began to adjust to my life in the orphanage. I learned about the other children and the routines of the place. Alexander, it seemed, was well-liked by everyone. The other kids often looked up to him, and he had a natural ability to lead and comfort those around him. I also tried to find any information about this world. That's when I discovered what a quirk is.
The world may look like Earth, but it is not. The people here have superpowers called quirks. One-third of the world's population is said to have quirks. Most quirks, however, are predominantly harmless. But not all quirks are harmless—the great power of a few heroes causes many humans to tremble in fear, as their power may result in the ultimate decimation of mankind.
