*CHRISTOPHER*
Christopher stands at an impressive 6'5", with a muscular and agile build that speaks to his dual nature.
His hair is a thick, wild mane of dark brown that reaches his shoulders. It frames his face, giving him a rugged and untamed appearance.
Christopher's eyes are a striking amber, glowing with an inner fire that hints at his beastly side. His skin is a sun-kissed bronze, marked by a few scars from past battles.
He constantly battles with his dual nature, struggling to maintain control over his beastly instincts while trying to preserve his humanity.
He is feared yet respected by his people,The Kynogen. After the waging war that took his family's lives when he was young, Christopher took it upon himself to avenge their death. People saw leadership in the young boy's future and decided to follow him leaving behind their original homes.
This motivated him to build what is now known as The Kynogen. A pack of shape shifting beasts called the Velnar. He protects his people and they protect him back despite him being a cold leader. He hardly smiles, the only time he does is when he is with Jaime.
He found Jaime crying besides his mother and sister's corpses. He felt pity for him because the boy in front of him was very small. He walked over to young Jaime, held his shoulder and comforted him. After that Jaime decided to follow him wherever he went and their friendship started.
The Kynogen live in tightly knit tribes, each led by a chief who embodies the wisdom and strength of their ancestors. A chief from every tribe makes up the Meyfar. The tribes are bound by a deep sense of honor, loyalty, and duty to protect their home, the Elaron Forest.
Every member of the Kynogen is trained from a young age to be a warrior and guardian of the forest. They learn combat skills, survival techniques, and the art of tracking, ensuring they can defend their territory and uphold their tribe's honor.
As a child, Christopher struggled with controlling his powers but his Father taught him everything he knew to tame his beast.
He can seamlessly transition between his human and beast forms. The Velnar are typically tall and powerfully built, with a physique that exudes both strength and agility. Their form is reminiscent of ancient warriors, honed for both speed and endurance.
In their human form, the Velnar usually have long, flowing hair that is dark and thick, often falling past their shoulders. Their hair takes on a wild, almost untamed quality, reflective of their beastly nature.
Christopher is one of the last two remaining Astral Velnars. Astral Velnar are an elite and revered group within the larger Velnar community, possessing extraordinary abilities and powers that set them apart. With no control, these powers can destroy an entire race. The other Astral velnar is his brother, Raphael. Raphael blames Christopher for the death of their parents and sister.
Since they were last of their kind, the brothers were trained to hide their powers because if the other tribes and kingdoms knew of their existence, they would wipe them from the face of the earth due to their destructive nature.
It was believed that Astral Velnars would cause doom to the world because they were wild and possessed destructive powers. The king during the first Astral attack signed a treaty with other kingdoms that when an Astral is born, it would be killed immediately. So whenever a velnar with a moon birthmark on the shoulder was born in a tribe, the newborn was killed so that the world can be protected.
When Raphael Sr, Christopher's dad found out that his wife had given birth to twins, he was beyond happy. His happiness was short-lived because after he saw the moon marks on the boys' shoulders, he knew that they were doomed.
After 10 years of not having children, this is what he got.
"Please don't let them kill my babies Raphael, please!" Amber, his wife cried.
He was put in a very tough spot, and considering that he was one of the people that killed the other Astral babies, he wept.
"I promise you that no harm will come to our boys, my love." He said.
He begged the tribe's chief midwife to announce that they lost the babies at birth. After so much persuasion and a deal to take care of the midwife's family, she finally agreed.
He then travelled to another kingdom in search of a witch that could put a spell on the boys to mask their scents. This is why they killed the newborns because once other creatures captured their scents, war would rage. The woman gave Raphael a potion to put in his house and that their scents would be masked as long as they stayed in the house.
The news of the death of the twins reached the council and they sympathized with the Mother and Father to the boys.
The boys grew up indoors, without knowing how the outside world operates. They were trained and told about their nature and how they should hide their abilities from the outside world.
Six years later, Amber gave birth to a girl, Shimira. She was just a normal velnar and at five, she would always go around the village gathering things to show her brothers.
At eleven, Christopher was the quiet type. He was always on his side of the room unlike Raphael who used to peak around the house to see what happens as well as looking outside the window.
One day, Christopher was on his bed sleeping as usual when he caught a scent that he had never perceived before. He wanted to resist the urge to go outside and check it out so bad but he couldn't.
He opened the window and was about to step out when Raphael caught him.
"Where are you going, Chris?" He asked.
"Can you smell that?" Christopher asked instead.
"Yes but we are not allowed to go outside, they'll kill you." Raphael said.
"I just want to check it out, I won't be long." He said. But Raphael threatened to tell their parents and Christopher changed his mind.
Later that night, the urge got stronger for Christopher. He fought it until he heard a voice.
"Help! Help! Brother!" The voice called.
Wait. That was Shimira's voice. Why was Shimira outside around that time of the night? He wondered.
He walked over to Raphael's bed and woke him up.
"Can you hear that? Shimira is in trouble." He said with panic in his voice.
"Hear what? Just go back to sleep Chris." Raphael said sleepily.
"But she's in trouble, why can't you hear her?" Chris said frustratingly.
"Go back to sleep Chris." He said and covered his head.
Christopher continued hearing the voice of his sister calling out for help and he finally gave in and left to save her even if it meant he had to do it without his brother.
He opened the window and stepped out of the house.
